It is the third largest city in Vietnam after Ho Chi Minh City and Hanoi, and is a city that is attracting attention for its rapid growth in commerce, industry, and tourism. In 2010, the city had a population of 880,000, but as of 2025, it has transformed into a metropolis with a population of over 1.2 million. Another aspect is that it has become a popular resort area in recent years, with high-rise hotels lining the beautiful coastline that stretches for 60km of white sand. There are also direct flights from Tokyo and Osaka, and many Japanese companies have set up shop in the city. Today, I would like to introduce a new hotel in the center of Da Nang, the Courtyard by Marriott Danang, which will open on May 28, 2025. This four-story skyscraper stands out from anywhere in the city. At night, it is illuminated with the neon lights of the Vietnamese flag, and there is a flashy announcement about the opening of the hotel. WE ARE OPEN! The taxi driver also said, “Oh, that’s the place.” Let me start by showing you around the front entrance. The black area on the right is the entrance to the car park. The car park is underground, so you have to drive yourself in. The official name of the hotel is Court by Marriott by Marriott Da Nang Han River. The large Han River flows in front of the hotel, and one of the features of this hotel is that it has a great view. Now, let ‘s go into the lobby. It is a vertically long lobby that stretches deep into the back. The ceiling is decorated with a gorgeous chandelier. On the right is the front reception counter. By the way, this hotel does not have a club lounge, so all Marriott elite members check in and out here. A cold welcome drink was brought out right away. As you would expect from a Takahashiri Hotel, there were six elevators. Now, let’s start by showing you the room. Today’s room is a Deluxe Room River View. However, the name on the cake was that of a completely different foreigner, so I contacted the front desk just to be sure. When I did, the front desk staff apologized profusely. I told them that it was okay because it happens sometimes, but since it was my birthday trip, they said they would prepare a larger room and we changed rooms. Now, the room was wonderful, so I would like to introduce it to you in detail. Now, I would like to introduce the room. Here is the room key. Now, touch it to enter. The floor of the room is paved with stone. Now, let’s go further in. Today’s room has a great view, but I was upgraded to an executive double corner room. Since it is a corner room, there are two windows. It is a room with a very nice view. If you go to the back, you can see the Han River. In the back, you can see the famous Dragon Bridge in Da Nang. A room with a very nice view. So let me start by introducing the room. Firstly, there is a large bed, and on the bed board there is a lyrical picture of a river and a boat, typical of Da Nang. It has a very nice atmosphere. There are lights on both sides, and around here there are USBs, which are type A. There are two type A ‘s, so for a new hotel, there are no type C’s, I think. And there are two pillows stacked side by side, like this. Looking from the other side, there is a large TV by this window, which is quite large. And now, on this side there is also a desk and dining table, and as it is a Titanium Elite, we were given what you might call welcome sweets, as well as welcome fruit. The room has flooring over here and carpeting, making it such a lovely room. Now, let’s continue on this side. This is the mini bar, which I will introduce later. If you go to the right you will reach the entrance. If you go to the left you will reach the baggage rack area. If you turn here, yes, you are in the bathroom, with a large sink. This is also a luxurious stone-clad platform, and these are the amenities at NIRVAE. These are the same as those in the courtyard all over the world. There is bar soap, and there is water and glasses. The glasses are also quite luxurious. And this bath is quite deep and large, it is a bath with a view. It is just evening right now, and there is a wonderful city view. I think this is the direction of downtown Da Nang. It is wonderful. And in the distance, you can see the sea. A very beautiful view. This is a bathroom with a magnificent view. And in front is the toilet, which is wonderful. It has a Toto washlet toilet, which is probably difficult to find in Da Nang. All rooms have a fluffy towel dryer as well. Japanese people will be happy with this washlet. And here is the shower booth. If you open it up, you will find shampoo, conditioner, body soap , a hand shower and a rain shower. And what I like about this place is this chair to sit on. There is a chair to sit on, so I personally like rain showers because you can relax in them. It is an elegant design. Now, let me introduce the refrigerator. Here you can see water and a kettle. There is also a children’s pool in the front, which is nice. The 45th floor is also equipped with separate changing rooms, locker rooms, and toilets for men and women . Bring your swimsuit, change on the 45th floor, and you can use the pool and shower, so it’s very convenient. There is also a 24-hour fitness gym, which of course can be used free of charge for guests . The dumbbells are quite heavy, and there are many machines as well, so I think it’s a place where you can enjoy serious training. An indoor pool is currently under construction and has not yet opened, but is scheduled to open in the future. Da Nang can also be cold at times, so once this indoor pool opens it will be perfect. I think this is a wonderful hotel with excellent facilities. There is also a kids’ room next to the indoor pool gym, which is a great service for children. Now let’s take a look around the lobby on the first floor. At the back of the first floor is the lobby lounge, where you can relax with some delicious tea or freshly brewed coffee. This stylish space is also lovely. There is a hidden staircase at the back of the lobby lounge, which leads up to the second floor, where you will find a cafe called CHILL BEAN. This restaurant is likely to be popular with locals as it can be accessed directly from the street behind the hotel. There is a wide selection of high-quality pastries, cakes and desserts. It’s an elegant lineup befitting a hotel. Now, I’d like you to enjoy the beautiful night view from your room. You can enjoy the sparkling night view of the city with the lights on. Tourist boats enjoying night cruises go back and forth on the Han River. Just watching this makes you feel happy, doesn’t it? Tickets for this tour are also cheap, so why not give it a try? At the end of the river you can see the Dragon Bridge, which was built in 2012. The dragon shape is lit up and looks very beautiful. Every Saturday, Sunday and public holiday at 9pm, you can enjoy a dragon show where the dragon spits fire like this. In the high season, it is also held on Fridays at night , so why not go and see it? This dragon is very impressive and gets quite hot just watching it. After the fire, it spits water, making it a very fun event. If you are in Da Nang on the weekend, why not go and see it? There is also a night market held at the base of the Dragon Bridge. Even if you wander around leisurely after the show, there is no sign of it ending. I think they are probably open until late at night. The hotel is located in the city of Da Nang. You can go to famous tourist spots such as Han Market and Da Nang Cathedral, so I think it is a convenient location. There are also many restaurants, cafes, massage shops, etc. in the surrounding area, so you will not have any trouble with nightlife. Now, I would like to introduce the breakfast. This is the restaurant Landmark. It is a restaurant that serves international cuisine from all over the world. Breakfast is buffet style. Marriott Platinum members and above can also enjoy breakfast for free as a benefit. Now, please take a look at the buffet dishes for a while. This is my breakfast. I had an omelette and stir-fried beef stew-style salad and bread, fruit smoothie, mango juice, and Vietnamese pho. This breakfast buffet does not have many varieties, but I think it has all the basics. It has an image of a well-rounded breakfast. I think the taste was delicious . However, it seems a little sad compared to the competing foreign hotels in the area. However, many hotels in Vietnam have luxurious breakfasts, so I can’t help but compare it with other hotels. I think this is just right . Now, today, I would like to introduce the Courtyard by Danang, which will open on May 28, 2025. I have introduced you to Han River , but what did you think? This hotel is located in the middle of the city, making it convenient for both business and sightseeing. It is a 45-story high-rise hotel that can be seen from anywhere. And above all, you can stay there reasonably, which I think is its greatest attraction. This time I stayed there for 12,600 yen. All rooms are equipped with Toto washlet toilets, which is very rare in Vietnam, which is a nice service. And above all, the view from the rooftop pool on the 45th floor is amazing. Also, just to let you know, during the Da Nang International Fireworks Festival, they apparently offer a plan to watch the fireworks while having a barbecue on the rooftop, which costs around 545K VND, so it seems a bit pricey. This hotel is actually still under construction, and the upper floors will be turned into Marriott’s executive apartments. There are still many areas of the rooftop pool area that are still under construction, so I am looking forward to seeing it completed. Also, one thing that I am very concerned about is that a 45-story building has been built right next to the Hilton, so You can no longer see the Hilton from the city. I think the number of rooms with poor views has increased considerably, so I am concerned about the impact on the Hilton.
