沖縄で一番の楽しみは?美ら海水族館!
today we’re off to the Churyumi Aquarium one of the largest aquariums in the world 2 and 1 half hour bus ride but I’m here this is the Ocean Expo Park built for the 1975 expo osaka had the 1970 World Expo and then Okanawa had the 75 that built a giant aquarium here has whale sharks to get to the Aquim from Naha it’s about a 2 to a 2 and 1 half hour bus ride to Mobu on the northern tip of the island the express bus from Naha will cost around $1,800 yen or about $12 you can also rent a car which gives you more flexibility to explore the coast but the bus is comfy and gets you there with no problem now the aquarium isn’t just sitting there on its own it’s part of a huge coastal park the Okinawa Commemorative National Government Park built on the site of the 1975 World Expo back then Okinawa had just returned to Japanese sovereignty from the US control and the expo was the way of saying “Hey World we’re open for business.” The area still holds that vibe today think botanical gardens traditional Okanowan villages beach access and panoramic ocean views once again I am the cattle in the herd in an aquarium the Churrai Aquarium is the star of the show chura means beautiful in Okinawan dialect and Umei means ocean so the beautiful ocean aquarium and it lives up to its name entry is just over 2,000 yen for adults not bad for one of the most impressive aquariums in Asia the main draw here is the Kurushio Sea the massive tank that’s home to whale sharks manta rays and hundreds of other sea creatures it’s about 10 m deep and 35 m wide one of the largest in the world and standing in front of it feels like you’re watching a moving living IMAX screen [Music] so I’m here at the Okanau Aquarium and I’ve booked a little private seat for lunch and just order on your phone and they bring the food to you and you get this nice view and each person you can wait for a seat the seat takes 30 to 40 minutes and um and then you get this great view i love this little coming by myself you pay 500 yen about 5 Australian dollars now look I’ve heard the food isn’t great i’m waiting for it to come but what a view [Music] right there’s also deep sea creatures coral reef zones and even exhibits dedicated to Okanowan sea life not a bad view for lunch specifically like the local sea turtles and rare species you won’t see in other aquariums but it doesn’t end there step outside and you’ve got a free dolphin show at the Okuchchan Theater plus a manatee pool sea turtle tanks and walking paths along the edge of the ocean on a clear day you can see nearby islands in the distance so if you’re in Japan and want to switch up your city sites for some sea life Okinawa’s Churyami Aquarium here is 100% worth a trip hit that like button if you’ve enjoyed this video and subscribe for more travel guides until next time keep on adventuring
