Highlights from Morioka Explorer Tour hosted by our Swedish pals, Ingemar Backman and Abbe Hjellström.
This was our second collab with Ingemar and Abbe. These trips are all about keeping an open mind and exploring the ‘under-the-radar’ resorts in Japan. For 2025, we based ourselves in tMorioka city, in the Tōhoku region of northern Honshu. This is a deep snowfall region that’s home to quirky, old-school ski hills that are virtually empty mid-week. We got to see the ‘real’ Japan, ‘Beyond the Noise’, rather than staying in the high profile ski resorts.
Follow along as we spend a week road-tripping and riding the little-known, stash-laden resorts with Ingemar, Abbe and a crew of riders who were up for anything.
