HISTORIC STIRLING, SCOTLAND – A GUIDE to Scotland’s SMALLEST CITY in 2025
During May 2025, we visited the wonderfully historic city of Stirling and learnt more about it’s rich and bloody history that has shaped the city to be a real contender in central Scotland worthy of visiting.
In this ‘guide’ we are sharing some of the wonderful spots you can enjoy and visit, either for free or for a small fee that will make a trip something to talk about to family and friends. We encounter monuments, places of interest, castles and walk in the footsteps of King and Queens. Stirling SHOULD be on your list when you choose to visit Scotland.

I watched many movies….They are iconic characters as a person, from my perspective not only being a great part of Scoltand History. I truly appreciate your two's work in this film. Incredible opening shots of the castles in Stirling! I loved how they perched majestically upon the rocks and hills. Fabulous footage of the bridge and river. The Robert the Bruce monument was very impressive. The stained glass windows were so colourful and vibrant, and the graveyard looked intriguing. You put a wonderful combination of locations together. A feast for the eyes! I want to book a trip right now! ❤

Very nice overview. Need to see the bridge – somehow never went there yet. I don't think the visitor center wasn't there when I visited in 1997 !!

You've highlighted two of my ALL TIME favourites. It doesn't happen often you showcase places I hold dear. The castle indeed a wonder to behold. Climbed the stairs in the Wallace tower 3 times. Always a treat. Didn't know about the bridge. Wow, and so interesting. With all the added information and fabulous sites I do see a need for another visit. So many fantastic castles to visit! Scotland really does have so much to offer and so much to explore 😊 I’ve probably only visited a handful of Scotlands castles. Loved all your footage of them.
