Welcome to Excelsior Venice, a 5-star luxury hotel in Venice, Italy. Pool. Inside the hotel. Classic Room tour. Dinner at Adriatico restaurant. Blue Bar. Private beach. Buffet breakfast on the terrace. Private boat ride. Venice town. Please enjoy! Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is located on the Lido of Venice, just across the lagoon from St. Mark’s Square. Good afternoon. Today, we are in Venice. We begin our tour from St. Mark’s Square. San Marco Port is the main waterfront area. Of course, there are many gondola services available. While we wait for our boat, we take a moment to see Bridge of Sighs. One of Venice’s most famous landmarks. Many gondolas gliding beneath it. It was once the last view of Venice for condemned prisoners. Romantic name, dark history. From San Marco, we’ll take a private boat across the lagoon to reach the iconic Excelsior Venice Lido Resort. Venice in all of its grandeur. No way. Is that our boat… the one that was supposed to leave a minute ago? We wait for the next one. This time I am not leaving the Excelsior dock until it’s here. San Marco Port. There’s a complimentary shuttle boat every 30 minutes for Excelsior guests. In Venice, even the wait is splendid. Here it comes. A round of applause. It’s actually some kind of small yacht. Excelsior is written. Made it on board. Nice looking leather seating. Even the boat ride feels first class. Right on time, 3:35 pm. Goodbye for now beautiful Venice! We’ll be back soon. We can see the Hilton Molino Stucky Hotel in front. A former flour mill turned luxury hotel. The boat ride lasts about 15 to 20 minutes, depending on water traffic. Don’t forget to subscribe to our channel for more travel vlogs. Thanks much! Excelsior Venice Lido Resort is a 5-star legendary beachfront hotel, known for its role in the Venice Film Festival. The hotel is situated on Lido, a long and narrow island in the Venetian Lagoon, known for its beaches and relaxed vibe. Excelsior is housed in a historic Moorish-style palace, built in 1908. The way towards the hotel is amazing. It was one of Venice’s first true luxury resorts. Excelsior Venice opened as a luxury hotel in 1908 and has always been called Hotel Excelsior ever since. Arrived. Let’s step off the boat and take a first look at the hotel. I feel like I’m living in the past century. Hotel dock is beautiful. Calming. If we turn around to the lagoon… There are a few boats floating and some houses nearby. Hotel stands out for its unique and beautiful architecture. Entrance is colorful and luxurious. Enter now. First look inside the palace is impressive. It’s a red carpet hallway that likely leads us to the check-in area. Pictures on the wall. Many celebrities have actually stayed here during the Venice Film Festival. It’s one of the hotel’s most iconic traditions. Including Sophia Loren, Elizabeth Taylor, George Clooney, Angelina Jolie, etc Next, check in and lobby area. Time for check-in. A huge carpet-style painting on one of the walls. I’m not exactly sure what it symbolizes. We enter the main lounge area. Two lion statues. Very spacious and grand hall. It’s quiet during this time of the day. Sofa is comfortable. The way to the elevator is elegant. There are two elevators. Hotel Excelsior Venice has a total of 196 rooms and suites. There are only 7 floors. We will be staying on the fourth floor, facing the garden. Corridor is simple. I reached the front of our room. Number written in gold. Door features an intricate design and a mirror. Envelope has a beautiful cover. Many key cards inside. To live in Venice or even to visit it means that you fall in love with the city itself. Open. Let’s see our Classic Double room. Price per night starts at $400 for 2 adults (without breakfast). Room measures 25 square meters, about 270 square feet. This time, we’ll have twin beds. First of all, linens. Pillows match the design and feel like clouds. Woven wood in two colors. Letter placed on the bed. A mysterious way to turn the lamps on and off. TV remote controller. Classic phone. Empty drawer. Room feels pretty spacious for its 25 square meters… Velvet bench. Small seating or dining area. It’s a minibar and a working desk. Includes a red Segafredo coffee machine. San Benedetto water. Milk, coffee capsules, etc. Same brand. Porcelain coffee cups. Rosenthal brand, German luxury porcelain manufacturer. Black leather folder and support. Notes pad and pencil. Sparkling and mineral water. On the beach in Venice. All items provided are complimentary. Chips and Nature Valley oat bars. A chair. It’s a mini fridge located under the TV. Apple juice. Peach juice. I am curious about the view now. Hmm, could’ve been better. Inside doors are painted blue and match the entrance door pattern. Golden handles. Light switches are simple. The wallpaper on the walls is textured. Entire room is covered in it from top to floor. Curtains have it too. Next is the bathroom. Pretty spacious for Venice. I’ll take a look at the counter. Soft towels. Counter is made of marble. The faucet handle has a nice design. Some amenities are placed on a black tray. Hand wash from Palais Jamais brand. Body lotion inside. Shower cap, vanity set, etc. Body milk placed on the wall. Toilet and bidet. Towels and intimate soap. One white bathrobe. It is of high quality. Bathtub. Palais Jamais is a luxury toiletry brand. Heating system works well. Take a look at the closet. Second bathrobe inside. From a mysterious luxury brand. Shoehorn. Laundry service and menu. A safety deposit box. Pretty basic hangers. Open the second door. Luggage rack. Now, I will open the window for a better view. Apparently I can’t do that. Luminous. Room tour ends. Let’s head to the pool area as we begin exploring the resort. The Blue Room and Blue Bar. Guess what..it’s blue. Walking through a long hallway. Along the way, I spotted a few branded items. Swimming pool area and outdoor bar. It looks like it is closed now. Closed at 7 pm and now is 7:02 pm. Excelsior pool is open from 9 am to 7 pm everyday. Even though it’s closed, we can still take a short walk around. Sunbeds arranged in lines. The whole area feels peaceful. Swimming pool has a vivid blue color. It is pretty large. The pool is heated to a comfortable 25°C. Sunbeds face the resort’s private beach and the Adriatic Sea. Hotel Excelsior was one of Venice’s first luxury beach resorts, helping turn the Lido into a glamorous destination for the elite. I think this side is for kids. An interesting bridge on top of the pool. It all began in the early 1900s… when architect Giovanni Sardi was commissioned by hotelier Nicola Spada to create something extraordinary on the quiet Lido of Venice. Feels nice. I will go to see the beach now. Luxurious rug. Restaurant terrace on the left. Small tables and relaxing space on the right. Several flags fluttering in the breeze. Its Moorish architecture is a masterpiece. Grand arches, domes, panoramic windows. It was also one of the first luxury resorts in the world to offer a beachfront setting with 5-star services. The hotel became the birthplace of the Venice Film Festival in 1932, further cementing its iconic status. Since it’s early May, the beach isn’t officially opened yet. But we can still walk down the beach and pier. Surprisingly warm and pleasant actually. My shoes are wet now. I have to change. We will also get ready for our dinner. Looks like somebody came while we were out. Bed is arranged for the night and the curtains are closed. Something placed on the bed. A yellow book titled “Venice from A to Z”. I love to read so thank you. Another one “The castle beside the sea”. Small gift inside. A pair of butter biscuits by Carmelina. Indoor slippers on both sides of the bed. Hotel logo on them and very soft. Little snack time before our dinner. Chips are good Italian chips. Dinner time at Adriatico restaurant. Adriatico is Excelsior’s fine dining restaurant facing the Adriatic Sea. There are just a few indoor round tables. Decor is simple, elegant and with sea elements. Start with two glasses of Prosecco. Bread and breadsticks. Olive oil from premium Italian brand. Open the food menu. Starters. First courses. I will try the dish called “Ortaggi di Sant’Erasmo”. Main courses. Desserts. Wine list. Sparkling wines, champagne, dessert wines, etc. Their premium selection. Amuse-bouche from the chef. Beef tartar with a nut crumble and a flower on top. It’s veery good! I love Prosecco. Tastes more Italian here. Let’s cut it open. It has a very soft texture and a nice spicy smell. First impression after the bite… The best tartar I’ve ever had. Almost forgot about the bread served with olive oil. It’s still warm. Right from the kitchen’s bakery. Beautiful sunset atmosphere. I will try a breadstick as well. It’s very crunchy and thin. Food is here. Cannellini beans, white polenta and a white sauce. Presentation and food service is impeccable. Live Black truffle ravioli stuffed with secole, potatoes and gravy. More Parmigiano never hurt anybody. Looks like a flower that I’d draw at 4 years old. Pasta is made in-house. Mine looks like a soup now. Basically, it’s a light soup with vegetables and a layer of polenta. I have received a device for hanging my bag to the table. Dessert. Tiramisu live moment. I love it that there are many dishes that we can choose from the menu and see them prepared right in front. Coffee. Mascarpone cream. Cocoa powder to finish it off. The result… This tiramisu has much cream. 9.5/ 10. A little too much coffee on the bottom for my taste. Time to try the choux. I wanted to taste the dark chocolate choux with coffee creamer and Bailley’s ice cream. It has a chocolate shape on top of the caramel sauce. Haven’t tried Bailley’s ice cream before. A combination of vanilla and coffee. Choux is dense on the inside. I will try to cut it with a fork rather than a spoon. It is too sweet. The prize for tonight’s dinner goes to the tiramisu. Wait, there’s more. Home made Raffaello. Should I find a hazelnut inside? Only coconut cream. Check came to 127 EUR, around 140 USD. Thank you for the food. We will continue our night with the Blue Bar. There is live piano music from what I can hear. Italian songs. I love this one. Bar counter is stylish and colorful. Found a nice table in front of the white piano. There are a few photos on the wall. Most probably with celebrities. Blue Bar drinks menu. They sell signature cocktails, non alcoholic cocktails, evergreen. Pizza, pasta, dessert. Enjoying the good music for now. I want to see the hotel during nighttime so let’s go outside. We are in front of the hotel entrance. Not the one from the private jetty, but from Lido town. Luxury hotel is beautifully illuminated. We’re back at the same fountain we saw upon arrival. It’s quiet. Only the sound of the live music. Hall from the upper floors. If we go on the other side of the resort.. Hotel is darker on this side. The moon is sparkling this evening. I will go to see the atmoshpere from the hotel dock. It’s no one around at this hour. I can hear some birds and other animals. That was it for the day, back to the room Wanted to start reading from the small book. Well, have a good night. It’s been a long beautiful day. Good morning. Did you sleep well last night? Because I didn’t. Mosquitos are crazy here in Venice. It’s 6 am now and I am enjoying a great sunrise thanks to a very loud mosquito. Thanks for that, what can I say? The sea is quiet. The air feels so nicely. Not too bad that I woke up at 5 am after all. Hotel colour has changed. It has a golden color in the morning. Found a nice seashell. One more Hotel signs. Waiting for the breakfast buffet to open. Breakfast is served at Elimar Beach Restaurant. It’s open from 7 am till 10:30 am. There is an outside terrace as well. We will dine here for a better view and quiet atmosphere. Morning light feels amazing. Breakfast table. Just ordered our coffee. It’s a well maintained lawn with some garden flowers in circles. Besides the breakfast buffet, there’s also a tiny a la carte menu with additional dishes. French toast, pancakes, eggs royale come with an additional cost. Coffee time. Two cappuccinos and one hot chocolate. I was really in the mood for a hot chocolate. Just a little sugar. I don’t need too much after the sweetest hot chocolate of my life. Foamy. Now, let’s see the buffet and get some food. I’ll start with the sweets and cereals corner. Honeycomb. Corn flakes, vanilla and chocolate puffed rice, muesli. Whole milk, rice milk, soy milk, etc. Full fat yogurt is in a large size. Yogurt bio. Philadelphia cream cheese, butter. Salted butter in a bucket. Seeds, dates, dried apricots and plums. A wide variety of other dried fruits. Almonds, hazelnuts, walnuts. Plain mini croissants. The ones on top are filled with something. Chocolate biscuits in a bowl. Delicious vanilla-filled croissants. Chocolate croissants. It’s good to come early for breakfast. You have the freshest pastries just for you. Lemon cake and choco cake. Cinnamon rolls. Caprese cake. Banana bread. Looks alike a chocolate tart. Yogurt cakes. Nocciole sauce, cherry, apricot, forest fruit jam.. Talking fruits. Kiwi, grapefruit, melon, grapes. Pineapple, watermelon. Ingredients for a salad. Vegetables on grill in the middle. Dressings. Soy sauce, vinegar. A variation of bread. Buns and slices. A bread called “Ciabatta”. Filoncino. Gluten free station. Many alternatives of brioches, biscuits. Cereals. Gluten free bread and crackers. Cheese. Mozzarella, a huge gorgonzola round. Parmesan of two types. Salami, smoked fish, ham, prosciutto. Most probably harsh brown. Pork sausage. Bacon. Beans. Sauteed mushrooms. Scrambled golden eggs. Prosecco is also available. It’s from Torresella, made in Italy. Yogurts with fruits and coffee? Water and juices. Celery, pink grapefruit, Ace juice. Nespresso coffee machines. Coffee ingredients, spoons and many flavoured capsules. I will try the gold one for my expresso. Almost forgot to put a cup. (Still sleepy) This is why I need a second coffee. Cinnamon flavour. Looking forward to trying the food from the buffet. I got some prosciutto with fresh and grilled vegetables. A little gorgonzola. Croissants, pistachio, butter and cream cheese. The croissant is so fresh. We got some beans and scrambled eggs as well. Very American. I wanted more Prosecco so I put it in a larger glass, a water glass. Now I have too much Prosecco to deal with. Best combo. Bread and butter. Orange juice. Coffee yogurt from Alpen Joghurt. Second one is with honey. Honestly, couldn’t leave without tasting the vanilla croissant. Yum. Better than I expected but it has an unexpected note of tiramisu flavour. Bowl of fruits. First watermelon of this year. Honey yogurt doesn’t taste like honey and I don’t know why. Just a soft note of vanilla. Very creamy though. The one with coffee is much more better! Breakfast is over and we move on to see some other facilities from the resort. Excelsior gym. It’s locked so we have to open it with the room keycard. Spacious and airy. The gym is open 24 hours a day. Towels, water and green apples are provided. No one is working out at the moment. All the equipment from the fitness area is from Technogym. There’s a row of treadmills and bikes facing the swimming pool. There is an outdoor garden between the resort buildings. I want to take a look outside. Apparently it’s locked so I can’t do that anymore. Fountain in the middle. Up next is the Shopping arcade. A quiet corridor lined with elegant boutique shops. There are some windows with clothing items. A historic painting of what Excelsior Venice used to look like. Interesting. A lifestyle store called “Porta Venezia”. And another picture. In the past, gondolas were the only way to get around Venice. Check-out is at 11 am, but we’ll be leaving a bit earlier. It’s been an amazing experience staying at the Excelsior Venice. Invoice. Shuttle boat running hours is on display near the dock. We will head back to Venice town at 10:05 am. Before we leave, one last look at the beautiful lagoon. Now I see that every boat has its own name, just like a person. Bora. Bora departed. Now, while we wait here, let’s see some impressions of the stay. First, I will start with the location of the luxury resort. Staying on the Lido island gave us space, silence and beautiful sea views. The building itself is a masterpiece. I appreciated the classic design and the history behind the hotel. The room had a royal feel. Service was kind and professional throughout the whole stay. Boat ride was definitely a highlight, making us feel like celebrities. Food from both breakfast and dinner were delicious. Private beach was quiet. In terms of pricing.. It’s definitely a luxury price point, but you get the setting, the service and the history all in one place. My stay at Excelsior Venice Resort exceeded expectations. I’d consider it one of the top resorts in Venice. Soon approaching Venice, Italy’s floating city. It’s called “the floating city” because it was built on more than 100 small islands in a lagoon. There are no cars, just canals and boats. Long ago, people drove wooden poles deep into the ground to support the buildings. Even after hundreds of years, those poles still hold up the city. Quite impressive. Bridge of Sights. Arrived back in San Marco. We’ll take one more final walk around Venice before our departure. It’s quiet during morning time. St. Mark’s Square is the most famous square of Venice. It’s surrounded by historic landmarks like St. Mark’s Basilica and the Doge’s Palace. Pigeons, live music and open-air cafés give it a lively feel. I will miss the gondolas and the city. A 30-minute ride starts at €90. The next destination on our list is one of the most popular islands in Greece. We will head to Santorini. Thank you for your watching! Hope you enjoyed today’s tour. Be safe and see you soon.

  1. Finally—a video that speaks to those of us who value timeless elegance over trendy chaos. This is what Venice should feel like for a luxury traveler.🙌🏾

  2. A definitely famous and lovely hotel, but in my opinion the exteriors could look a little bit overpromising compared to the interiors… Thanks for sharing!!! 🙏👌💖

  3. I really do appreciate you and your videos!!! Thanks for sharing and posting this!!!!!🤗🤗🤗🤗💐💐💐😍😍😍🙏🙏🙏🙏🌈🌈🌈🌈🌹🌹🌹🌹💖💖💖💖💕💕💕💕😘😘😘😘

  4. You need to have more respect for items. You are a very tactile person, and in the video you scratched at and twisted things on the headboard, I’m not sure for what purpose. To see if you could damage it? Imagine everyone coming into this room and doing what you did, and how it would look after a year. Imagine everyone doing that to your personal belongings in your home. You have done this in other videos as well. Just touching material with oily, sometimes dirty hands, can leave lasting stains. Remember, you’re tempting everyone who watches your videos to do likewise. And there is nothing exciting or fun to see about a basic, standard hotel room. If you can’t afford a nice suite, maybe the hotel will let you film one with a nice view that is unoccupied.
