ボラカイ定番メシ10選🇵🇭絶対食べてほしいカフェ&レストラン絶品グルメ【フィリピン観光旅行】
A while ago, I released a video called Boracay’s 18 Best Gourmet Foods, and thankfully it was very well received. But then I suddenly thought, “Huh? Don’t they introduce any of the popular restaurants?” So this time, we’ll be introducing 10 of the most classic gourmet dishes from our perspective that we definitely recommend even to Boracay beginners! From famous cafes to hidden gems, I’ve picked out only the places I’ve eaten at and thought, “This is definitely the place!”, so whether you’ve been there before or are planning on going, I hope you’ll take a look while looking for a restaurant that you’d like to visit. And if you think, “I would choose this place!” or “I can’t leave this shop out!”, please let me know in the comments! Let’s create the ultimate Boracay gourmet list together! hello everyone! “Kenken” and “Yoppi” from “Roamstead-Duo” On this channel, I upload “realistic and slightly useful VLOG” while traveling to various countries and islands. So far, we have uploaded four Boracay videos: “Introduction to Boracay’s Uchira Takitoshi Hotel Hotel Henan Park, ” “Basic Boracay Information Summary,’ ‘ “18 Best Boracay Gourmet Selection, ” “Boracay Activities Feature, ” and “How to Get to Boracay.” We plan to upload many more videos about Boracay in the future! Please tap the like button as well as the subscribe button! I hope this video will encourage people who say, “Maybe it’s time to travel…” 🙏 Now, let’s go to the best Boracay meal time… Let’s go! [Sunny side cafe] The first cafe that people who visit Boracay Island want to go to is “Sunny Side Cafe.” The store I’d like to introduce today is located in Station 1, which is a little far from D Mall, but it’s still a super popular spot that’s well worth a visit. The first thing that catches your eye is this cute store design. It’s simple and modern, but the space has a perfect mix of resort feel and is perfect for photos. The restaurant has a great location with a view of the clear sea and blue sky of White Beach. If you visit Sunny Side Cafe, you must try their famous pancakes. The store’s most recommended item is “Ube and Cereal Milk Pancakes.” This is a fluffy pancake made with purple sweet potatoes called Ube from the Philippines, topped with ube cream, crunchy cereal crumbs, and cereal milk ice cream. Last time we came to Boracay, we ordered the full size of this pancake at the Station 3 store, but even though it was so delicious, the portion was incredible. For some reason, our stomachs exploded when we ordered two dishes of pasta at the same time. This time, we chose the half size of this pancake! Later, I searched various menus but couldn’t find it, but it was topped with chantilly cream, dried orange slices, and if I remember correctly, orange puree, and it was really delicious! For drinks, I ordered an iced flat white and an iced latte, but the coffee was also authentic. Furthermore, the “Fruit Platter” is a must-try for fruit lovers. Plenty of seasonal fruits are served, and the yogurt and muscovado syrup go perfectly together. And here’s a little trivia. The company that operates this “Sunny Side Cafe” actually operates the extremely popular restaurant “SPICEBIRD,” which I introduced in the previous “18 Best Boracay Gourmet Foods (Personal)”, as well as sweets specialty shops such as “Mango mama,” “Coco mama,” and “Ube mama,” which I will introduce later. Since it’s a company that operates only famous restaurants that represent Boracay, I really thought that the quality was consistent. “Sunny Side Cafe” is the perfect place to start a trip or a relaxing day at the beach. When you visit Boracay Island, be sure to stop by and enjoy this luxurious and delicious experience! Kenken: Watermelon is delicious~ Kenken: Blood orange is also really delicious! Yoppi: My favorite is Filipino mango💛Kenken : I thought the pancakes would be light because they were fluffy, but I kept eating them and they became really heavy.Kenken : These pancakes are just like steamed bread! Yoppi: That may certainly be the case! Kenken: Moist, but slightly browned, fragrant and delicious. Kenken: Yoppi looks tired lol Yoppi: I’m tired, but…I feel happy. Kenken: Yeah! It’s the best! Yoppi: The sunset is dazzling and I played a lot in the sea, so my eyes are tired and sluggish. Kenken: But even though I’m so tired, I’m going to go sunset sailing after this. [Real Coffee Cafe] Next, we will introduce “Real Coffee Cafe”. The store’s tagline is “All day breakfast with million dollar view,” which means “You can enjoy breakfast all day long with a million dollar view.” Honestly, you can see a stunningly beautiful sunset anywhere you go on the beach on Boracay Island. However, what makes “Real Coffee Cafe” special is that you can enjoy this “exquisite view of the sunset through the palm trees.” In fact, there are a lot of beachfront cafes with seats on the second floor, and we went around looking for a good spot, but for some reason, the placement of palm trees in the other cafes was a little disappointing… But in this shop, the palm trees work perfectly. When you come to Real Coffee Cafe, you must order the famous Calamansi Muffin. Calamansi is a refreshing citrus fruit unique to the Philippines, but when it’s made into a muffin, it has a miraculous balance of sweetness and sourness, and you can almost feel your brain saying, “This is the taste of the tropics!” Kenken & Yoppi: Itadakimaasu. Yoppi: The unique citrus scent of calamansi is strong and very delicious. Kenken: The texture is quite moist. Kenken: Delicious Yoppi: Goes great with coffee! Kenken: Yeah, it’s better to eat a little bit at a time with coffee instead of eating it all at once! We also always order “Oatmeal Chocochip Cookies” and “Brownies.” Of course, for drinks I had two cups of “Real Coffee.” With this set, you can enjoy a perfect tropical evening tea time and be sure to win. Yoppi: Every table has photos of people who have visited the store, giving the impression that this is a store that caters to lower-class citizens. Yoppi: Apparently this person is the owner who opened this shop. Yoppi: It was opened in 1996, so it seems to be quite a long-established restaurant in Boracay. Kenken: If I recall correctly, I bought coffee beans at this shop the last time I was here. By the way, the front seats on the second floor during sunset time are very popular due to their beautiful views, so I recommend arriving early, about 30 minutes to an hour before the sun sets, having a cup of tea, eating a muffin, and sorting out all the photos you took during the day before relaxing. If you come to Boracay, be sure to visit Real Coffee Cafe, where you can enjoy the triple combo of sunset, palm trees, and calamansi muffins, and make memories worth over a million dollars! [Halo Mango] “Halo Mango” is one of the most popular sweets spots in Boracay Island. Whether you’re walking through D’Mall or strolling along the beachfront, you’ll always see this red and white sign. It’s a classic spot that you can’t miss if you love sweets. As the name suggests, “Halo Mango” is a specialty store where you can enjoy desserts made with luxurious mangoes, the representative fruit of the Philippines. Well, this time we ordered “Mango Holic” for Kenken and “Halo Multi” for Yoppi. First of all, “Mango Holic” is, as the name suggests, a menu for people who are crazy about mangoes. The rich mango soft serve ice cream is filled with as many juicy fresh mangoes as ever before, and the moment you see it, mango lovers are sure to get excited to the max in an instant. The “Halo Multi” that Yoppi ordered is an extremely cute dish that includes mango soft serve ice cream, as well as mango and sprinkles toppings. It looks like it’s guaranteed to look great on social media even before you eat it, and the sweetness and toppings are so greedy it’ll make you laugh. By the way, the interior of this restaurant is clean and air-conditioned, making it a great spot to take a break during the afternoon in Boracay when it’s too hot outside. Moreover, for some reason, K-POP music videos are always playing endlessly on the TV inside the store. This is a bit of a mystery, but I like the laid-back Boracay atmosphere. A must-visit shop if you have a sweet tooth! When you come to Boracay, be sure to experience the other side of sweetness at “Halo Mango”! [Mango mama / Coco mama / Ube mama] [Mango mama / Coco mama / Ube mama] When you walk around D mall in Boracay, you will definitely come across one of the signs of “Mango mama”, “Coco mama”, and “Ube mama”, but in fact, these “Mama sisters” are the “Sunny Side” that I introduced earlier. Cafe” and “SPICEBIRD,” which we recommended in our last video, are also part of the same chain. Initially, “Coco mama” became so popular that sister stores “Mango mama” and “Ube mama” were born. Anyway, the concept is solid and the store really stands out. Both the logo and the storefront are very conceptual. Now, let’s introduce the unique characteristics of each shop! 🥥 What’s so weird about Coco mama is that the ice cream comes in a realistically split coconut shell. This alone is guaranteed to be 10 billion points cute, but the contents are also uncompromising. The coconut ice cream, which even vegans can enjoy, is topped with fresh mango, coconut pulp, sticky rice, and crunchy pinipig, making it a jewel box of textures that can be confusing. 🥭 Mango mama This is truly a mango paradise. Vegan mango coco ice cream and black rice ice cream, topped with lots of fresh mango. It’s also loaded with Suman, a traditional Filipino sticky rice sweet, salty coconut cream, and crunchy latik. The moment you take a bite, you forget about veganism and suman, and the flavors of sweet, savory, salty, and chewy all rush into your mouth, filling your mouth with a complete tropical paradise. The difference in temperature between the cold ice cream and the warm suman is amazing! 🍠 Ube mama Last but not least is Ube mama, a shop specializing in Ube, the purple sweet potato that represents the Philippines. To be honest, purple sweet potatoes are sometimes considered to be a “flashy item,” but the point here is that they really attack the taste. The rich, vegan-friendly ube ice cream is topped with ube pudding and chewy palitau (glutinous rice dumplings), and the coconut cream and corn flakes add texture. This is the perfect balance of sweetness and saltiness, and if you like ube, you’ll want to eat this for the rest of your life. One last important point! When you see something so cute and attractive, you want to eat while you go, but eating and drinking is prohibited on the beach in Boracay, so eat near the shops and throw your trash in the trash! If you come across “Mama Three Sisters” while walking around D Mall on Boracay Island, be sure to check it out! [Aria] Speaking of Boracay’s super classic Italian restaurant, this is Aria. Right in front of White Beach, it’s open-air and has a great sense of freedom. Aria, where you can enjoy the feeling of a tropical resort, is an authentic hotel founded in 2003 by an Italian owner. It’s been a long time since we went to such a “classic” restaurant, and we reaffirmed that there’s a reason why it’s a classic. I wasn’t that hungry that day, so I decided to share some food. The first thing I ordered was “Zuppa di Pesce”. It’s an Italian-style seafood soup, roughly similar to bouillabaisse. The flavor of the seafood melts into the tomato-based soup, making it an umami-exploding soup that slowly soaks up the seafood soup every time you scoop it up with a spoon. Eating this right in front of the beach makes it 50% more delicious. LOL When I looked at the view from here, I realized that during the daytime, it was used as the second floor of Cafe del sol, which I introduced in the previous Best Gourmet article! The other dish is “Boscaiola”. It’s a pasta dish with plenty of creamy mushroom, ham, and parmesan cheese sauce, and the aroma of mushrooms, richness of cheese, and umami of ham come together to create an explosion of flavor. For drinks, Kenken has mango juice and Yoppi has cola. A simple and sure-fire choice that goes perfectly with resort meals. Whether it’s your first time coming to Boracay or your first time, Aria is a stable place that will make you say, “This place is great after all.” If you like Italian food, you can’t go wrong, so definitely give it a try! [Hama] There are a lot of people who want to eat food from their home country while traveling abroad, but for us, we always think, “Why are we here after all this time?” But, but ! I thought I could recommend Hama, a Japanese restaurant that opened in 2005, to both those who like it and those who don’t. This is a super safe Japanese restaurant that has been loved for nearly 20 years, right in the middle of D Mall, just off White Beach. On this day, we ordered “Oyakodon (oyakodon)” and “Misoshiro (miso soup)” for Yoppi , and “Crunchy Salmon Rolls” and “Misoshiro” for Kenken (in English ). For drinks, we both had mango smoothies. First, Yoppi Oyakodon. The soft and fluffy egg is perfectly mixed with the chicken in the broth, and it’s not too sweet, but has a nice richness, giving it the quality of a Japanese set meal restaurant. Ahh, this and this made me laugh naturally. delicious! You can really taste the flavor of the chicken! “Crunchy Salmon Rolls” is a sushi roll that is crispy fried, topped with salmon fries, and topped with sweet and salty teriyaki-style sauce. This is also delicious! It has a strong taste! w It might be good as a snack with alcohol! But the biggest shock of the day was the Misoshiro (miso soup) that we all ordered. Most miso soups from overseas are made by just dissolving miso in hot water, right? It was different here. From the first bite, you’ll want to scream “Dashi soup!!!” The scent and richness are completely authentic. I was a little impressed that such good miso soup could be served overseas, right next to the beach. Yeah! Miso soup~ 😌 Hama doesn’t just have regular set menus, they also have a great selection of izakaya-style snacks, so be sure to check it out if you want to enjoy a relaxing evening meal! I can recommend it for various scenes! [Tostachon] I hadn’t really planned on going to this standard gourmet restaurant, but when I popped in, I was like, “I really like this restaurant!!” So I suddenly decided to put it on the list, “Tostachon.” The location is along the main road and has good access from D Mall. A whole pig lechon suddenly appeared on the roadside! When I saw it sitting there, I couldn’t help but be drawn to it.The interior is cute with stylish illustrations, and the menu is a good mix of Filipino home cooking and Mexican flavors. First of all, we toasted with Yoppi and Coke, and Kenken with San Miguel Light! The first thing I ordered was “Lechon Tostadas”. A tostada is a classic Mexican snack made from crispy fried tortillas. Topped with tomatoes, onions, coriander, Mexican sauce, and juicy lechon. The next thing I ordered was “Lechon Sinigang”. This is also a huge portion lol By the way, sinigang is a classic Filipino dish, and is a “sour and delicious soup” made with tamarind and tomatoes. If I had to compare it to Japan, it would be something like “sour oden”. The lechon looks like roasted pork. I didn’t plan on coming here because I was planning to go around some classic gourmet food, but it was really delicious! Let’s call this a standard! . I want to come again! At first, I didn’t like sinigang. The first sinigang I ate was extremely sour, and on top of that, it was extremely salty. However, once I got used to the sourness and saltiness, I started to find it delicious. It’s hard to explain the taste of sinigang…I think it’s like Thai tom yum kung with sweetness, without the aroma of herbs, and with the flavor of tamarind and other vegetables. At first, you’ll be surprised by the sourness, but once you get used to it, you’ll become addicted to it. Soup is a common feature in Filipino cuisine, and it’s best to eat it over rice. Is it a soup curry in the image? And, of course, I ordered the lechon on its own, and the crispy skin, juicy meat, and Mexican-style chopped vegetable sauce combined to make it unbeatably delicious. By the way, Tostachon is still a relatively new restaurant in Boracay! Not only the lechon, but also the tacos and burritos are of a very high standard, and the style that combines the best of Filipino cuisine and Mexican cuisine seems to be slowly gaining popularity. This shop happened to be a roasted pig in the shop’s showcase when Kenken was walking along the main road of the island without his cell phone. When I saw it posted, I knew I definitely wanted to come here! I wish it were a little more popular! It’s really delicious, so we’ve certified it as a restaurant that we want to become a standard in the future! [Two Seasons] Every time we come to Boracay, we try to find a new restaurant, but this time we decided to change things up a bit and hit up the hotel’s restaurant! Its name is “Two Seasons”. This place is originally a resort hotel along the beach, but I heard rumors that the pizza here is seriously delicious, so I summoned up my gluttonous spirit and went there! When I arrived at the hotel, the restaurant was spread out on the beach side, giving me a great sense of openness. I can’t wait to enjoy the food while feeling the tropical sea breeze. On this day, we ordered “Two Seasons Shake” and “Mango Shake” for drinks. And the “Four Cheese Pizza” you are looking for! ! ! This is a sinful dish that has as many types of cheese as ever: blue cheese, cheddar cheese, mozzarella, and parmesan cheese. What’s more, the crust is thin and crispy like Italian pizza, but the cheese layer is thicker, and the visuals make you wonder, “Which one is the star?” lol This is so delicious! ! You must eat this! It looks like a really big pizza, but the crust is thin and crispy, and the cheese on top is thicker than the crust, making it addictive! I saw boxes of this pizza stacked up like a tower behind the checkout counter, and I thought it was so popular that I wanted to eat it even if I wanted to take it out. The smoothie is also unbelievably big lol . I wonder if it will come out when I sneeze … lol I thought it would be heavy, but thanks to the crispy dough, it wasn’t heavy at all, so the two of us ate a whole slice 🍕 But! ! We are not satisfied here. LOL The other dish I ordered was “Bulalo”. Bulalo is a traditional beef bone soup from the Philippines, made by slowly simmering beef bone marrow and shank meat, and finishing it with vegetables. Moreover, this Two Seasons bulalo is not a “gentle oden soup type” like Jasper’s that I introduced last time. The soup is rich! Ah! ! This is so delicious! I thought I was full because I ate pizza earlier, but the taste is the complete opposite so I can eat it! The meat is super soft! I saw a lot of people introducing this restaurant in a video introducing Filipino gourmet food in Boracay, so I thought I should definitely come here. They said we should have pizza, especially at the Two Seasons hotel, and I thought pizza was definitely a must! It’s cloudy and has a strong garlic scent, and it’s almost like “beef bone ramen soup”! It’s loaded with radish, cabbage, and corn, and you can eat three bowls of rice just from the soup. It was a very satisfying belly bread course that filled my stomach with cheese pizza even more. Lol I was a little nervous because Two Seasons is a hotel restaurant, but the quality of the food and the casual feel are really well balanced, and I can highly recommend it! [epic] If you want to go out at night in Boracay? When the topic comes up, the name that always comes up is “Epic.” As we previously introduced in the nightlife section of the “Basic Boracay Information” video, it’s a restaurant with delicious food during the day, and a club at night, making it a pretty cool spot! On this day, we ordered a mocktail called “Lychee Sunset” by Kenken and a solid coke (lol). As for the food, I actually wanted to try Adobo, but it was sold out on that day 😭 So, I changed my mind and ordered this lineup! “SISIG TACO”: Filipino national snack, pork sisig, served in taco style! There’s also crispy fried pork skin chicharron and chili on top, and the moment you take a bite, it’s all crispy, crunchy, and sizzling at the same time. This is a complete beer thief menu🍻 “Burger Sliders” American cheddar cheese, US Angus beef patty, pickles, lettuce, tomato, and Epic’s special sauce sandwiched in a brioche bun. Although the size is small, the flavor is more powerful than the full size. The accompanying potato chips also have a handmade feel to them, which makes me really happy. “Epic Paella” An exquisite dish filled with the flavor of seafood and meat! Epic has a menu of international cuisine, including Filipino cuisine, so what should I eat today? This is a recommended spot! [Seafood] When you come to Boracay, you definitely want to eat fresh seafood! Since it’s an island, fishing is also popular, so if you walk near the beach, there are a lot of seafood restaurants lined up. But, here are some super important tips from us. To be honest, I think there are a lot of people who are confused about restaurants that take you to a back alley. At first glance, the food looks like it’s local and tastes good, but the price is mysteriously high, or there are extra charges depending on the cooking method. There are cases where you wonder, “Huh, how much does it cost in the end?” That’s why our recommendation is to aim for a store that has a solid website, Facebook page, and a high rating on Google Maps! You can know the price range and menu in advance, reducing the risk of getting into any strange trouble. Among these, we liked Charl’s Seafood Grill and Restaurant, which has an official website and is very popular. It uses the classic Boracay style, where you select fresh seafood lined up in front of the store and specify the cooking method, such as “Grill!”, “Soup!”, or “Butter Garlic!”. The seafood we chose was plump, perfectly grilled, and truly a genius. It smells like charcoal, and when you eat it with white rice, it’s like tropical heaven. What’s more, Charl’s has fair prices, doesn’t feel like it’s a pushover for tourists, and the staff are all smiling, so you can feel at ease.Actually, this is the restaurant where I filmed the video of losing my iPhone in Boracay lol I’m pretty bad at talking, but I’m talking about a lot of things, so please check it out lol And there’s one other place I’ll never forget: a mysterious outdoor restaurant at the back of Puka Beach (I don’t even know the official name lol). Honestly, you should think of this place as a theme park. LOL , on a deserted beach with nothing around, a table and chairs that were just the name of a restaurant appeared. To be honest, the price is a bit high, but it’s a miracle that they serve cold beer in such an environment, and best of all, they select fresh fish on the spot, grill it over charcoal, and cook it deliciously! It’s fish and chips. Oh, is that so? ! If I was just looking for the usual peace of mind while traveling, I’m sure I wouldn’t encounter anything like this. The fresh charcoal-grilled fish, the sea breeze, and the whole situation were a feast🐟🔥 , and after we finished eating, we became friends with the family that runs the restaurant, and for some reason we ended up feeding the pigeons and playing with them. This kind of interaction is the real pleasure of traveling. (…I’ve gotten off track from the restaurant discussion, but 😂) In summary, when it comes to seafood in Boracay, 1. Choose the right restaurant , 2. Make sure to negotiate the price, and 3. Enjoy the once-in-a-lifetime encounter! I think this is the best way for us to enjoy it! Enjoy fresh seafood and the warm air of the island, and make the best memories! Boracay gourmet food was higher than you expected, right? In our opinion, these are the kind of restaurants that not only fill your stomach, but also make each dish a memorable memory of your trip! However, I’m sure there are still many delicious restaurants in Boracay that we don’t know about! So if you have any recommendations like “This place was delicious too!” or “The ○○ here is seriously divine!”, please let us know in the comments! ! Let’s all create our own list of the best Boracay gourmet food! See you again in the next video! It was Roamstea-Duo! bye bye!
