Hello, I’m Shie. I recently went on a two-day trip to Kyoto. When I arrived at Kyoto Station, I left my luggage at the hotel and decided to go for lunch first! I came to Unir Kyoto. It’s on the first floor of Hotel androoms Kyoto Shichijo. I’ve always wanted to go there. It’s a specialty coffee cafe. They also have a wide variety of breakfast and lunch options. First, my husband has a beer. Kyoto Beer Yamada Nishiki (850 yen). I wait for the food to be ready. This is the ultimate egg roll set meal (1,790 yen). This is a limited-edition menu. They’re shaking it hard to convey the softness♪. The egg rolls made with eggs from free-range chickens from Miyama, Kyoto are so thick! The soft egg rolls with the dashi stock are the best❤︎. It comes with white miso soup, mentaiko, foam soy sauce, eel, Japanese tea, and a drink. This is the duck loin bowl with delicious salt sauce, Hitsumabushi style (1,000 yen). It comes with soup stock, side dishes, and drinks. There are lots of thick duck loins on top. The aroma of the roasted duck meat and the umami of the salt sauce go well with rice. Add wasabi to change the flavor. Finally, pour soup stock over it to make it like Hitsumabushi. I love duck meat, so I was crazy about it and enjoyed it to the fullest ❤︎. Thank you for the meal. After the meal, I had rooibos tea and iced coffee. It was a very satisfying lunch! I came to Shinshindo JR Kyoto Station. It is located in the bus ticket center right in front of Kyoto Station. Whenever I pass by, I just can’t help but stop by ♪. There are delicious looking breads lined up in the showcase. I ask the shop staff to get it for me. I bought bread to eat tomorrow morning! I arrived at the hotel where I will be staying this time. I will tell you about it in the next hotel edition. It’s night, so I’m going to go for dinner soon. I came to Kyoto Station again. I went to Kyoto Porta, which is directly connected to Kyoto Station. I came to MINORI CAFE. This is a cafe produced by JA Zennoh Kyoto. I’m going to have a light meal. I ordered Kyoshikibu rice balls and yuba ankake udon (1,485 yen). It comes with a small side dish that goes well with the rice. The grilled rice balls are crispy and fragrant. It also comes with pickled plums that aren’t too sour, so it’s delicious to eat with the grilled rice balls☆. The yuba ankake udon has a calming and gentle taste. You can enjoy the yuba and feel Kyoto. I was soothed by the soft udon noodles made with Kyoto wheat. The rice used is Kyoshikibu, which was developed as a new original rice variety in Kyoto. It was perfect for a light meal☆. Thank you for the meal. When I went outside, the Kyoto Tower was lit up, and it was so beautiful that I was mesmerized☆. Well, I went back to the hotel and had a good night. After checking out of the hotel, I went to the Umekoji Park area for lunch. The restaurant is on the second floor of Hotel Emion Kyoto. This is Kyo Shunsai Yusho. You can eat Japanese cuisine that makes use of seasonal ingredients, including Kyoto vegetables. My husband’s first drink was a draft beer (580 yen). We ordered the Yamakake Gohan Lunch (1,500 yen). You can have as much rice as you want for free. The set includes a small dish, fresh fish sashimi, grated yam, pork soup with lots of ingredients, and rich eggs. The rice cooked in a pot is very delicious❤︎. And the pork soup is also very delicious! The small dish looks beautiful and the gentle seasoning is soothing. The sashimi is very fresh and each one has a luxurious taste. We prepare to eat the grated yam♪. We pour the special soy sauce over it. We add the aromatic vegetables. We mix it well. Then we put it on the rice generously. The fluffy grated yam has a strong flavor and makes you want to eat more rice. Next, we prepare to eat the egg on rice♪. When we crack it open, the egg yolk is vivid and very beautiful♪. It’s a rich egg as you can see! We mix it lightly. It has a mellow, rich, and luxurious taste❤︎. It’s a happy way to eat it with grated yam on top☆. At that time, my husband had his second glass of sake (900 yen). Thank you for the meal. I’m going to have tea time at the end. I went to the first floor of Umekoji Potel Kyoto. I came to Cafe Polum. The greenery of Umekoji Park can be seen from the large window, and the interior of the store has a calm and open atmosphere. If you sit at the counter seat, you can see the train right in front of you♪. I ordered iced coffee (550 yen), today’s flavored tea (ripe apple, 450 yen), and matcha Basque cheesecake (930 yen). I was soothed by the pleasant aroma of black tea❤︎. The matcha Basque cheesecake is rich, with the flavor of matcha and a slight bitterness as an accent. It’s big and satisfying to eat♪. It was moist and smooth when I ate it, and I wanted to keep eating it forever. I was able to spend a peaceful time looking at the park and the train from the window. Thank you for the meal.
