Beautiful Nepali Village Life of Nepal
[Music] Guys Good morning Amazing Amazing Amazing The view of one of the highest tallest peaks of the world, for which I had literally brought you all to this Gandhi village, is just in front of my eyes, unbelievable, I still cannot believe it, guys, I will not be able to describe it even in the world, I think now I should show it to you all, the way its landscape is, amazing amazing, here in front, you see the rays of the sun, the sunrise has almost happened, slowly its rays are falling so nicely on this entire valley, the entire mountain range, what should I tell you, Good morning Namaste, Salam Sat Shri Akaal Welcome back to another new blog, I am Ansh and right now I am in one of the most magical villages of Nepal, which is called Dhandruk village, and one of the tallest highest peaks of the world, the Annapurna range and also Machapare, Himchul, Gangapurna, a small popular of all these ranges The traditional photography and stone craft village is called Gurung Village. I have come there where you can literally see some of the world’s tallest highest peaks and mountains ranges here in this way. The view that you are seeing behind me, literally you can see Annapurna. If I move a little to the side, you will be able to see Macha Poche, Himchuli, Gangapurna. And along with that, this view of sunrise from this Gurung Village is the ultimate amazing landscape, wow. The chirping of birds and the view of the mountain from above, it looks like what nature has created, literally, I think, I don’t know whether I will ever be able to climb this kind of mountain, the highest peak, the tallest peak in my life, wow guys. So this is the Annapurna range which you can see live from this Ganduk Village right now. As the rays of the sun are falling on it, The way its colour is changing, it literally seems like the way the snow slabs are melting on it or different views along with the birds moving in the sky from above and on this side if I try to show you, look, the sun is about to rise above this peak and I think as soon as it rises, the view here is going to look very beautiful to you, literally, for which I think I had come to this village after working so hard [Music] So you think, it is around 6:30 in the morning right now, the sunrise has also happened, the rays of the sun are falling on my face and the experience that I am able to have after coming here, I have been able to experience the local traditional village life after a long time by going to such highest point or high altitude and literally, the way you are seeing yourself, it is as if dew falls. As the rays of the sun start falling, as the colour of the mountain changes, in this way, the chirping of the chickens, birds and the chirping of the birds, I am able to experience that after a long time and if you see this entire village, as time passes, after having breakfast etc. , I am going to show you all of this village, which is also called a very historical village of the Gurum community, so this cottage, especially, has become very popular, I told you that every person in India knows this cottage and especially here, I think gardening, in all the properties here, you will see people doing gardening here in this way, where different types of flowers are planted, so in front of this cottage itself, you can see the farming that is visible in front, this is barley farming, barley is planted in it and this is peas brother, all the peas etc. have been cultivated, everything is organic farming here, so whoever has whatever share, in all those parts. People do farming etc. here, the rest of this is a complete part of the village in which all the people of the village, that is, the people of this Gurum community, mostly, now because it has become so popular, you will find a lot of these guest houses, hotels, resorts, properties here, rest of these brothers, brother morning, how are you guys, exactly how is the view, the Umasa made me a little sad, but nothing, we can see Annapurna, South Annapurna, right, South Annapurna, Himchuli, Gangap Purna and I think from here, the view of all this is quite amazing, so this is the restaurant area, so this is their small bar also, here , if you want to have some drink etc. or want a cold drink etc. and juice etc. So you will get that here, the rest of this is a family run property and guys this is our breakfast of this Gang village, so actually I think it is called Gurung bread which is a form of chhole bhatura which we don’t eat, you can call it something like that and this is our tea and this is potato curry, so it is something like this, it is very popular here, so guys I just had my breakfast and it was quite good and heavy too, what do you call this bread in the local language, please do tell me by commenting but its quality was quite good and it seemed heavy and potato curry and along with it tea in which cardamom was added, friend, even now I don’t feel like leaving this place, the view that you are seeing, the whole view, I think right now the Annapurna range, this southern part, I think I am able to see that peak from very close, there is a lot of difference in seeing in the camera and seeing with live eyes, but the matcha that you are asking for has become blurred again. So during the early morning time, we can actually see the current season quite well at this time. Anyway, there are around five seasons in Nepal, I think, just like in India, and this is the backyard of this Gurm cottage, where he has planted some vegetables, etc. So, I will give you a little tour of this place. You will find gardening flowers all over the place. These are some vegetables. This is coriander, actually, he has planted here, and garlic or onion, etc., here, and this is cabbage, cabbage, and along with this, he has planted radish below. So, it is radish, cabbage, and on this side also, I think, he has planted spinach or radish like this. Inside, there are some different kinds of vegetables planted. Look, this is the whole cottage, on the top also, local people have planted, I think, this must be someone else’s farm, so peas are planted there as well. So, guys, right now you can see just two beautiful Nepali faces, and they are very colourful, vibrant, and smiling. Oh, wow, so Sweet so sweet your name is Bindu Bindu Gurung O Bindu Gurung he said so you should keep this in mind guys Suchita Prati and Suchita ji I think I have been watching them since yesterday and these people are actually going for Poon Hills trek as well they are wearing the traditional attire of the main Gurum culture especially for girls and I ask them tell me what do you call this this is called lungi it is made of Ghagra design it is of Ghagra type yes it is called something like mala mala means in a way it completely comes in the dress itself it is with the dress and whose is this this is a coin this gold coin really wow it is completely curved on the top so there is a bandage on it and it is in all three shapes and you can wear it from the top like this right and this additionally this pearl mala motilaka moong mala oh wow wow it is Guru’s this good this and you can wear it like this like this mean by slanting it like this The ones with fat, oh it is mostly red in colour, not this, it comes in both colours, it is black as well, it is red as well, well both, mainly this can be worn before the wedding or after the wedding, both of these, actually the whole below has a pattern, there is an embroidery in it, if you see, the bottom is also completely red in colour and very fine workmanship has been done by hand, there is printing, there are like different flowers, they have been made by doing this in pearls, thank you, thank you so much, wow, it is around 9:30 in the morning and we danced a bit with the local people here and you must be seeing these few clips, the people of the local Guran community were wearing their Burung traditional dress and we also got a chance to dance a little on this kind of Nepali song, so let’s go now, friend, I have freshened up etc., I have checked out, made the payment from here and now after leaving, I am going to show this entire village to all of you, so in this entire village you will see that brother, the whole village is like this Stones have been laid, you will see a proper path, in this way all these stones are from the nearby mountains, they are cut and brought here and this is then used to build houses etc. and along with this, see, this way, footpaths, paths and boundary walls etc., they have designed everything from this, wow, despite being a small village, you see, it is quite touristy as well, according to that, you will get to see a lot of cleanliness in this entire village, ahead there, chickens etc. are visible, this is all wood etc. which is here In the upper parts around, these people cut the wood and keep it here for drying. So, at some time when there is snowfall etc., then all this wood is used for burning. We will come using public transport, so in this way, you will have to trek the entire part of the village to come, so for now, we will go by this route because yesterday, I had come by this route, so I had parked my scooter on the top. I have made these small sheds, I think there are some grandmothers who are working down there, there are sticks etc. Hello grandmother, how are you? My friend, you are grandparents, where are you from? You are from here, you are from Khatang, Khatang, you are from Khotang, ok, we have come here for a visit. Have you also come for a visit? Yes, we have come here from India, Mumbai, from Mumbai to see Gandhurga village. We came yesterday to see the mountain. Stayed here at night. Seen this mountain, had darshan. Now, we will roam around the village a bit and then go home. Your cap looks very nice, Nepali cap, yes, and this cloth is also Nepali, for the culture, and grandmother is also wearing Nepali dress, Nepali. Mix good good good according to the culture ok ok you have come with your family oh what a wonderful thing what a wonderful come on you guys also enjoy what a wonderful thing so in this way there are quite a few different climbs in the upper part right left you can go from anywhere hello hello namaste namaste these are all family people I think they have come for a walk with their families what a wonderful thing thank you thank you thank you same here we are same here we can climb from here friend there is a path here also there is a path here means in this way there are completely different parts in this Gandhurga village all the people in it you will mostly find are from the Guram community the Guram community is also called Tamu which is considered to be a Tibetan ethnic group which you will find in this hill area of this Gandaki province of Nepal so look every house I mean the oldest and authentic houses in this village are like this there are old doors small doors all over here Mostly generally you will see that the wood is made using wood and there is a tin shed on top. Earlier there was no tin, so sheds were made using grass, straw and reeds. Currently, you can see that the wood is very old and they have cut and kept it here and the whole thing is made using big stones, supporting them with poles etc. The water supply etc. in this village, there are taps installed at different places on the top of the mountains and people are able to access water at all those places. Wow, this house looks so lovely, it is very authentic, it gives a very natural feeling, but I can see a lot of houses here, this house which is closed, I think is completely closed and its colour is completely brown. You will find very small windows and doors in them too, the entire wood has been carved. You will see very fine detailed carvings in them too. Right now no one is visible in this house, their courtyard type is quite big, in every house, whatever houses you will find here, people have planted different types of flowers like marigold, rose, etc. everywhere, it looks very natural, I think this must be their bathroom etc. The back portion might belong to someone else, they might be their neighbor, so one house is very close to the other house, this is someone’s stable, see here this buffalo etc. is also tied brother and I think there is a complete howdah etc. to put fodder etc. here, just like we have here, there is a similar atmosphere, rest in the lower part they have planted vegetables etc. rest I am not able to understand what kind of trees are these, please tell me by commenting in which friend the leaves are not visible at all, but I can see very big and old trees, all these, see here, wood etc. has been collected in this way, these are all wooden baskets, these people carry all these goods in them, rest look here also some fruits etc. are planted, this one I wanted to show you the house, it looks very old and ruined, at the moment I think this could be a very old house of this village as well and people of this entire Gurm community have been living in similar houses since the beginning and now you can see the stone on the top, this part, it is all made up of big stones, those stones were cut and given a shed in such a way as gutter, friend I am from UP so there we call it gutter, what is in your language It is said that you can tell me by commenting, at present you will get to see all the old style houses with windows and doors, is this also a flower or vegetable, you can tell me by commenting, the population is not very much in the village, but there are many houses and mostly all have been converted into guest houses now and I did not see as many people as I was seeing, a lot of the area here looked empty, so all these are wooden boxes which are currently dumped here, maybe they are not being used now or they have got damaged or they must have left them for drying and these big stones which are used for the roof shed in this entire village, it is very cute, very beautiful, they have planted small pots in this entire house, but this house is also locked, no one is visible to me, wow, the stairs are completely proper, in this way, they are built in the entire village, you will have to go by walking slowly in this way, Brahma Kumari Ishwari University was seen here and it is inside Gandhruk village, see Lord Ram here Sita, there is a statue of all of them, there is a statue, there is a flag, right now it seems to me that it is Brahmakumari friend, because we are in India, so it may be related to them , see, this house, it is also written that someone lives in it, Vishwama Shanti Vihar House is a staff quarter, I think it is written that this is employee housing, clothes etc. are hanging outside, there is a gate also built in it, the rest this flag, oh wow friend, this is also a very cute, very lovely, beautiful house, I don’t know, look at this too, there is a lock, so generally in all the houses here, brother, I think no one lives during the day time, even if there are some, then these people must have gone out for work, this also looks quite old, quite authentic house, friend, you are hearing the sound of birds, the chirping sound of birds is very loud, you can hear it in all these parts, look, this is also such a beautiful and lovely house, friend, this Annapurna range in front above, wow friend, amazing , namaste, namaste, how are you sir, good, good, what is your name, Bal Kumar, Bal Kumar ji, your house Where is Apurvas, it is up there, where are you going to work right now? Yes, where is down below, okay, some work is going on there, so you are going to work there, okay, Bhai Ji, look, he is going to work with a basket, oh, thanks, he is smiling, there is a smile on his face, it ‘s a different life, friend, the people of the mountains are very hardworking anyway, friend, you will get to see that too, thank you, so friend, while walking, I have just reached Maula Kali Temple, which is present inside this Gandhurga village itself, so if you get a chance, do visit here, I will go inside and bow down once, so friend, these idols of Kali Mata and Durga Mata and different gods and goddesses are present inside where I bowed down, if you also get a chance, you must come here and here, a little bit about all the people who are here, I think some details have been written about them, maybe who built it or some things related to the village are present here, but the most specific thing I want to show you here is the house here, especially this All of them are old because the roof of all the old houses is of very low height. If you see, there is not much difference between the upper and lower parts. You will find very less gap etc. And in the old times, people used to move from one place to another. There is a similar atmosphere. But you can see here also because all these people are mostly here. I think these must be Hindu families. That is why, see this idol of Lord Ganesha, here all this is written ‘Shubh Labh’. There is a coin which has been put up like this. This must be some custom. Look, grills etc. Now, all these grills are of old times. They are made of wood. There is a separate part inside as well. I think everything that should be used for ventilation is there. Look at this above the doors. I think it has been modified again. That is why all these new woods are visible here. But all these stones on top, the black stone which I just showed you has been used. Wow, this one. But you can see, almost everyone has a similar design. You will get to see similar structure architecture, the village is quite big, there are different parts, look here I think there is bathroom etc, there is a part, some people have tried to make it a little developed and advanced by modifying it, as I told you, because a lot of tourists come here, so because of that you will see such modifications in some houses here. You will get to see some old houses and some new ones. So these grandmothers are sitting and all their clothes, I think they are wearing Nepali clothes, this is Gurung Guru’s cloth, and this cap, what is it called, Safa, like you are wearing this to cover your head, yes, to protect yourself from the sun, yes, yes, these Vana Ban grandmothers are smiling a lot, they are looking very cute, in earlier times, these doors used to be like this because iron etc. was not available, so whatever natural things were available in a natural way, the gate was made using that, so the atmosphere is somewhat similar, so to open it, you have to take out this stick like this, then you can cross over it, look at the house, literally it looks like stones have been placed one above the other and you will not find cement and all those things anywhere, and you can see the window, this door, you are seeing how old this whole house is of three floors, this is the first part, then the wild window that you can see above is the second floor and what is visible at the top is the third floor. So in Niwari architecture, you will see wooden carvings, doors, windows and grills. What is this, brother? Mountain ship. So, this is the upper horn part of some animal, see that too, they have installed that. All of these have some meaning, it is a little big, I will try to show you, it is a ship, yes, maintenance ship, sheep, yes, in this part of the mountain, there are sheep, so this is a part of it, it is quite big, friend and is original, brother, this mortar and pestle, etc. for grinding grains, the rest, these pumpkins, all this, I think, is nearby, fruits, etc., vegetables, etc., which these people must be growing, gardening, etc., where do you get these flowers from? From Pokhara, then you bring them here, they have a season, there is a season, there is a season, right? Well, good, food store, well, see, in a way, it is completely wood storage, because be it summer or winter, any season, there is a little gas, etc. here, well, now that technology has come, there is facility for every thing, but the old All these things are used to cook food in a natural way right from the beginning of the time. What is this salon of yours? Yes, it is a salon. Oh brother, look at this in the village, this is a very cute small salon friend. Wow, if you want to get your hair cut, etc. , then you can come here and get your hair, beard, moustache cut in pure Desi style. Elephant’s ear, brother, it is called elephant’s ear in Nepal. Padmabed, Padmabed, okay, its name is Padmabed, in a way, it is a flower. Flowers grow in it, it is called elephant’s ear. Actually, wherever you go in this entire village, you will see a combination of different old houses and new houses, but someone is just building a new house. Namaste grandma, Namaste, how are you? Oh friend, I met a cute grandma, grandma, this is your house. Yes, actually, this is the guy whose house this is, I also came to know that there was a brigadier in the Indian army, this is his house and he has just built it and kept it here, but that is here Maybe they don’t live here exactly, so I don’t know if they are there or not, but I think they must have kept a caretaker, I think this grandmother takes care of this house, so the people of the Gurung community here, their local language is actually derived Gurung language, it is actually spoken as Tamu Qui, which is a Sino Tibetan language and it is considered to be a language derived from the Tibeto-Burman family, which these people communicate with each other whenever you see them and as I told you there are three things in it, they are Hindus, Buddhists and there is a new religion by a born community, I came to know that if we talk about the history of the Gurung community, then their origin is such a source says that these Gurung people are also linked to the Xiang people who are from the Xiang area of China and in fact they used to live a semi-nomadic life since the beginning, due to which they have always lived in the mountains, in the hill area. And the animals they had were mostly sheep and yaks because of their semi-nomadic life at that time, they used to rear them for their living. Today, everything has become a bit modernized, so because of this, maximum people living in this village are either in Pokhara or some people go to different countries abroad for work. So guys, this was my overall experience of this beautiful magical Gurung village, i.e. Gandhug Village Guru Community, so I hope you People must have enjoyed it a lot, whatever you like about the video, please do comment and like it and subscribe to the channel, if you haven’t done it yet, do press the bell icon and if you want, you can also support me by clicking on Thanks and Joy and for live status, you can follow me on Facebook and Instagram That’s all for this video, now I will meet you in the next video guys, until then bye-b take care from Nepal Dhandh [Music]
