Very beautiful! A train is running nearby. The peaceful scenery is one of the charms of Yufuin. It was beautiful! We arrived at the UnagiHime Shrine. The bustle of the Yunotsubo Highway was like a lie, it was a different world! Cedar trees more than several hundred years old were lined up around the shrine. Smiling Komainu (guardian dogs)

I’m glad I went. (10 minutes drive) The name of the restaurant I arrived at is “choco X choco”. The owner used to work as a chocolatier and manager at a ryokan in Yufuin called “Sanso Murata”.
He is a chocolate artisan! I found a nice store! Quality chocolates were available. (The inside is the same, just in different capacities)
All made by the owner himself. The chocolate is rich but melts in a flash
Elegant taste that doesn’t linger forever.
All of them were delicious! I’m sure they would make great gifts! (The store opened in February 2022) Check it out! What a view!
Why didn’t I come here sooner? We arrived at Kirishima Shrine. The famous water with a reputation for being soft to the taste and sweet to the taste is springing here. First of all, let’s visit the shrine. (A little too much money to give) This water is soft and easy to drink.

After paying the fee, you take water in front of the parking space. The water is sterile and can be stored for up to one year. You can drink it straight from the bottle, the owner said
So I drank it. It was cold, soft and easy to drink
(ph 7.1) If you make coffee with this water, it will be very tasty! Next we go to the crater. We arrived at “Tsukahara Onsen, Crater Spring”. This is a mountain called Garandake.
It is a highly acidic hot spring! I had no idea!

Oita’s hot springs have many unique characteristics. It was fun to visit! This next place has a spectacular view that I will never forget! I was so moved that I almost cried. “Sagiridai” Tonight’s lodging is Yubu Saryo. A ryokan with only three guests per day. I want to stay in a room with a hot spring, a large room with a bed, and at a reasonable price!
This inn will fulfill your wish! The entrance has a nice atmosphere. 8 tatami mats Japanese style room and 12 tatami mats twin bed room. The beds are made by Simmons, so they are very comfortable. Drinks in the refrigerator are free. The bath is located next to the bed room. Dyson hair dryer (Amenities are provided) The bath is free-flowing hot-spring water. I’m a fanatic(?) for free-flowing hot-spring water. The water is so soft!
It feels great! I’m glad I was born in Japan! I was tired after going to see the crater, and the hot water of the crater healed me! I didn’t have the strength to go out to eat dinner, so I bought it at a nearby convenience store. I enjoyed Yufuin today! Tomorrow we will go to “Yunotsubo Kaido” and eat a lot!
After that, we will move on! Looking forward to it!
