ニカラグアの2つの巨大な火山を持つ小さな島にたどり着くまで – EP.352
Right, Julie, are you in the frame? I think you are, mate. Sort of. Yeah, I’m happy with that. How’s my hair? I just got it done yesterday. I am so happy right now. It was mission nearly impossible to find a hairdresser uh that would do my hair in Nicaragua. Never mind. Today, it’s a very exciting day because I’ll be catching a ferry to this little island that’s got two volcanoes and apparently it’s so epic. It’s so scenic. So, I think we have two awesome days ahead of [Music] us. All roundabouts have this tree in the middle. I think this tree is litten at night. Looks like it. It had lights. Oh, what’s going on here? Uh, come on. Come on. What’s going on? Traffic jam. [Music] [Music] Okay. We’ll be catching a ferry from this town. [Music] Ah, this looks like a gate to the port. Wa. This is the lake. And look how rough it is. Look at the waves. It’s like a sea. Wow. Okay. Uh if I get the offic I think I think we are buying the tickets. Uhhuh. Gracias. Gracias. Hola. This is a very affordable adventure. The ticket for myself was $1 and for Chile $5. Look at this. This waves are out of control. Oh, why is it so rough? It’s not even that windy today. Or maybe it is. I just don’t feel it. No, it doesn’t look like a lake. Hey, looks like an ocean. Okay, Chile. Here we go. When ticket see. Uhhuh. Uhhuh. Huh? [Music] Huh? What is [Music] it? Efficiency is not a very good thing here, I must say. and the bureaucracy. Apparently, I need another piece of paper from who knows where. [Music] See, I’ve got the tickets. The another paper. Yeah, I’ve got [Music] Right, there you go. This is where we need now. I’m getting frustrated, I must say. Bureaucracy is shocking here. So, you have to go to three different places to pay first $1, then $5, and then $2. Crazy. Why they can’t have it in one place? Gracias. Look at that. Really fast. We won’t be able to turn around. Oh, maybe. One, two, three, four, five, six. Maybe maybe nine cars in total can fit in on that furry. It’s a small one. It’s going to be rough, I reckon. No. Oh, this one. Sorry. Uh, this one. Uhhuh. Uh-huh. Uh-huh. Gracias. [Music] Come. Uhhuh. Uno. Momento. I’m going to uno momento. Good. What do you mean? Why not here? Can you Yep. Gracias. Gracias. Okay. Gracias. Gracias. Uh-huh. Sure. Mhm. A key. Oh. Oh. [Music] Ah, okay. We’re moving it. I know. I know. Okay. Good. Well, Chile, I think you are ready. Look at you. You’re very I don’t know how we’re going to stand you up cuz you’re just like right against the edge. [Music] He used this guy tireless interest. Okay, here we go. I don’t know. I’m trying out for this car, but the car is moving. Drop. [Music] Woohoo! Here and we’re off. It’s very wobbly. But Chile. Ah, she’s good now. She’s tied down to the to the rail. So, she’s much better now. Before she was bit all over the shop, right, here we go. The island is not that far. I think it’s it takes around 40 minutes to get there. Something like that. What an adventure. We are nearly there. This is the island. So, there are two volcanoes on this island. And apparently, this one, the bigger one, is still active. I think they’re connected, maybe. I’m not sure. And apparently we can ride around both of them. So that’s our [Music] plan. Okay. See me first. Gracias. All right, Chile. Let’s go. Gracias. Welcome to the other side. This is apparently this is the entrance uh exit. Uh-huh. Gracias. That’s it. And we’re on the island. That was fun. The biggest attractions here on the island are hiking, kayaking, and there’s a hotring not too far from here. Well, nothing is too far from here. So, we have to say no to hiking because apparently this hiking to the volcanoes, it takes nine hours and it’s a challenging track. We don’t have shoes and you know me and walking. So, we’re not going to do that. But, we’re going to ride around the island and we’re going to see the volcanoes from the road. I think I’m happy with that. Kayaking, I don’t think we’re going to have the time. But hot springs, absolutely, yes. And I saw on I Overlander that I will be able to camp close by, which is great because now during the day it’s way too hot to go to the hot spring, but in the evening that’s a different story. Whoa. The road goes through the air strip. I don’t think too many planes landed here recently, but who knows? You just never know. They have here multifunctional roads. [Music] Huh. This is cool. It’s another village on the other side of the island. It’s a very pleasant ride. And look, there are more options for accommodation. This is cool. Plenty of There are plenty of host on the island. And here we can already see the second volcano. It’s basically the road on the island. It’s like number eight. So it goes around one volcano, then the second volcano. You know what I mean? So that’s what we’ll be doing today and tomorrow. Just going to go around both of them. But and sleep in two different places. So I’m just looking like where where we should stay tomorrow. I’m just like let’s get the best option here. There plenty plenty plenty of [Music] [Applause] options. We are very close. I think most of the people who want to go to Hot Springs stay here because they don’t have a tent. And we do have a tent. Our road is here. I’m guessing it will be a dirt road like that. Here we go. Chile. We haven’t done our dirt road for today. It’s only 1.3 km. So, normally people just walk to the hot springs, but they get a lift, I guess. Okay, we are nearly here. This is it. Hola. You ride all the way down from Canada? Uh, all the way from Australia. Hell yeah. It’s a nice bike you got there. Thank you. You’re welcome. Do you know where where the campground is? Camp? No, but there’s a reception up there. You can ask them. I will do that. Thank you. All right. Apparently, there’s a reception here. This place is awesome. I just paid $4 for camping and we’ll be camping right here in this spot. There’s plenty of shade. I love it already. Yes, this is where we belong after I’ve created all this mess and I’m half unpacked. I just looked at the map and I realized I’m in the wrong place. Hot springs are not here. So, I went past them. They were like 15 kilometers earlier. But that’s okay. I still like this place. And tomorrow we go around this volcano and at the end we’re going to end up at the hot springs. Yeah, that’s the plan. I’m so organized. Well done. And yeah. Yeah, that’s why. So I’m sorry I’m so tied up. Spit it out. And the camp is [Music] ready. I’m not sure if that’s going to look good on the camera, but this is what I wanted to show you. This is how the island looks like. Yesterday, we got a ferry to here. We rode all the way to here. Now we’re going to go around like that. Stay for the night here and tomorrow go back to the ferry this way. [Applause] [Music] [Applause] [Music] [Applause]
Out of all the incredible places I saw in Nicaragua, Ometepe Island just has this special vibe. There’s something almost mythical about this small island, lorded over by its two ancient volcanoes. And honestly, the entire experience of actually getting there felt like an adventure on its own!

In April 2017 I left Australia for a solo trip around the world on a BMW F800GS. I named it “Are We There Yet” because I don’t know my final destination or the duration of this journey.
Throughout my journey, I’m raising money for a young disabled child in Poland named Franek. Franek was diagnosed with cerebral palsy (weakness of the entire right side of the body) and he will require constant rehabilitation for the rest of his life. All the money raised will go directly to helping Franek and his family lead as normal a life as possible so please donate generously: https://gogetfunding.com/arewethereyet/
None of that would be possible without my official sponsors:

Mon idée d'une nuit sauvage consiste maintenant à rester éveillé au-delà de 22 heures et à lire un chapitre entier d'un roman érotique sans s'assoupir. Ah, les joies de la croissance🌺
Keep going, Kinga 👍

👋🤚🖐✋🖖👋👋👋👋
Ha ha. Kinga, the feisty blonde, got agitated with the ferry staff's nonsense system. It looks like a great island for some serious chilling out. 💜
And if all your dreams come true.. "don't go to sleep". Each person can be listened to but not everyone is worth talking to. If in doubt make soup. A healthy beggar is happier than a sick King. A person can only be themselves when they are alone. 9/10ths of happiness depends on good health. Getting fat is not an option when getting slim is a necessity. Apparently there is nothing that cannot happen today. Listen to many, speak to few. LOL happy days. Oh and by the way, a house fly buzzes in the key of " F "
Greetings from South Carolina, America.
I love it♥️🙋
Well, your hair looks fabulous, and chille looks great as well!!
What a crazy ride on that ferry I can’t believe those guys tied you down to a truck that was moving. They obviously don’t do that very often with motorcycles. It looks like a very cool island. Looking forward to seeing the Hot Springs. Thank you for sharing.
Kinga the brave. Best regards.📹👍
"Daniel Ortega" bless you 😂
you’re lucky they didn’t throw you in the volcano❤
Hello beautiful Kinga! Your adventures are wonderful. You have so much that you always show and tell us. Your hair? I love how it looks. ❤
Thanks! Polska, you remind me of the gals I grew up in the hood in the USA. Stubborn focused and dimples.. buy some veggies for your stew
Keep doing what you’re doing. Great!
Wow!
It's beautiful and rural and cheap, not to mention the mosquitoes.
Beware of chikungunya. I hope they didn't bite you a lot.
I love your enthusiasm in every video. Brings a smile to my face. Thank you ❤️
