1000年以上の歴史を持つ下谷神社の祭礼は、東京の都心で最も早く行われる夏祭りです。
「下谷神社の祭礼」の特徴は、本宮の神輿が渡御（とぎょ）される「本祭」（西暦の偶数年）と、近隣各町会の神輿のみが渡御される「陰祭」が隔年で行われます。
本祭の神輿は千貫神輿と呼ばれる大神輿で、全国から多くの担ぎ手が集まり各町会を次々と渡御します。
例年5月11日前後の金曜日から日曜日にかけて行われ、期間中の土日には神社周辺に約140の屋台が出店し、祭りを一層盛り上げます。
陰祭りの年も、各町それぞれが立派な神輿を威勢よく担ぎ、上野の街が賑やかになります。
※渡御とは・・・神様が乗物（神輿など）に乗り氏子町内を巡られることを渡御と言います。

The Shitaya Shrine Festival, which has a history of over 1,000 years, is the earliest summer festival held in downtown Tokyo.
The Shitaya Shrine Festival is characterized by the “Main Festival” (even-numbered years) in which the main shrine’s portable shrine is carried, and the “Kage Festival” in which only the portable shrines of the neighboring town associations are carried, which are held every other year.
The portable shrine for the main festival is a large portable shrine called Senkan Mikoshi, and many carriers gather from all over the country and carry it through each town association one after another.
It is usually held from Friday to Sunday around May 11th, and about 140 stalls are set up around the shrine on Saturdays and Sundays during the period, making the festival even more exciting.
In the year of the Kage Matsuri, each neighborhood once again carries a magnificent mikoshi (portable shrine) with vigor, bringing excitement to the streets of Ueno.
*Togyo: A procession in which a deity rides on a vehicle (such as a mikoshi) and parades through the neighborhoods of its parishioners.

東上野六丁目南町協會神轎遊行
下穀神社祭典已有1000多年的歷史，是東京都內最早舉辦的夏季祭典。
下屋神社祭的特色是每兩年舉行一次，雙數年會抬著本社的神轎遊行；影祭則是每隔一年舉行一次，只抬著鄰近地區的神轎遊行。
主要節日所抬的神轎是大型的千輦神轎，來自全國各地的許多抬轎人聚集在一起，依次巡遊各個街區。
該節日通常在5月11日左右的周五至週日舉行，在此期間的周末，神社周圍會設置約140個美食攤位，為節日增添熱鬧氣氛。
在影祭那年，每個街區都會興高采烈地抬著自己華麗的神轎，讓上野的街道充滿生氣。
*什麼是“Togyo”？ 「Togyo」是指神靈乘坐交通工具（例如便攜式神轎）並在教區城鎮周圍巡遊。

히가시우에노 롯쵸메 미나미마치회 가마와토
1000년 이상의 역사를 가진 시모야 신사의 제례는 도쿄 도심에서 가장 빨리 진행되는 여름 축제입니다.
「시모야 신사의 제례」의 특징은, 혼궁의 가마가 도어(토교)되는 「본제」(서기의 짝수년)와, 근린 각 마을회의 가마만이 와트되는 「음제」가 격년으로 행해집니다.
본제의 가마는 센칸 가마라고 불리는 오가미로 전국에서 많은 담당자가 모여 각 마을회를 잇달아 건네줍니다.
예년 5월 11일 전후의 금요일부터 일요일에 걸쳐 행해져, 기간중의 토일에는 신사 주변에 약 140의 포장마차가 출점해, 축제를 한층 북돋웁니다.
그늘 축제의 해도, 각 마을 각각이 훌륭한 신가마를 위세 잘 맡아 우에노의 거리가 활기차게 됩니다.
