広島県三次市（みよしし）は、広島県の北部、
中国地方ではほぼ中央に位置しています。

●霧の海
秋から冬にかけて、早朝に冷え込むと
幻想的な「霧の海」を見ることができます。
町全体が広い霧に包まれ、まるで雲の上にいるような
不思議な気分になります。
●三次の鵜飼
開催期間：毎年6月1日〜9月10日
全国で11ヶ所しかない鵜飼。
「三次の鵜飼」は450有余年の伝統を脈々と受け継ぎ、
広島県無形民俗文化財にも指定されています。
鵜匠が操る手縄は7mと日本最長で、
鵜が広範囲で鮎を獲ることができるのは、鵜匠の技術力の高さがあってこそ。
鵜舟と遊覧船が並走し間近で鵜飼を見られるのも三次の鵜飼の魅力の１つです。
日本で唯一、「妖怪」をテーマにした
湯本豪一記念日本妖怪博物館（三次もののけミュージアム）や、
“日本でいちばん月が美しく見える美術館”として知られる
奥田元宋・小由女美術館など、歴史や文化に触れられる施設もあります。
三次市には、数々の賞を受賞する本格的なワイナリーや、
豊かな自然を生かしたアクティビティなどもあり、
子供から大人まで、ワクワクする体験ができます。

Miyoshi City, Hiroshima Prefecture, is located in the northern part of Hiroshima Prefecture,
roughly in the center of the Chugoku region.
Surrounded by mountains on all sides, it is a region rich in nature where three rivers converge.
It is about an hour and a half drive from Hiroshima City.
Blessed with a rich natural environment that changes from season to season,
Miyoshi City is a town with a deep history and culture.
The city is also home to a wide expanse of fog that envelops the entire town.
The entire town is enveloped in a wide expanse of fog, creating a magical feeling
as if you are above the clouds.
Miyoshi’s Cormorant Fishing:
There are only 11 cormorant fishing spots in Japan.
The Miyoshi Cormorant Fishing Festival has a tradition of more than 450 years
and is designated as an Intangible Folk Cultural Asset of Hiroshima Prefecture.
The cormorant’s rope is the longest in Japan at 7 meters, and the cormorants are able to
catch ayu fish over a wide area thanks to the skill of the cormorants.
Another attraction of the Miyoshi Cormorant Fishing Festival is that cormorant boats and
sightseeing boats run side by side, allowing visitors to see the cormorants up close and personal.
Period: June 1 – September 10 every year
The only museum in Japan dedicated to the theme of “yokai,”
the Koichi Yumoto Memorial Museum of Japanese Monsters (Miyoshi Mononoke Museum),
and the Okuda Moto Sung and Koyume Museum, known as “the museum with the most beautiful
view of the moon in Japan,” are also open , Miyoshi City is also home to a number of award-winning museums.
Miyoshi City is also home to an award-winning winery and a variety of activities that
make the most of its rich natural environment, offering exciting experiences for
children and adults alike.
