【京都・天橋立と伊根】日本三景天橋立と日本のヴェネツィアと呼ばれる伊根を観光します。古都京都といえばお寺巡りですが、市内の喧騒を離れて海の京都を訪れてみませんか?

Hello everyone. This time we will be traveling on the sea side of Kyoto. I hope you will stay with me until the end♪ It takes two hours by train from JR Kyoto Station to reach Amanobashi Station. We have arrived at Amanohashidate Station! Amanohashidate is a 3.6-kilometer-long sandbar at the mouth of a bay that separates Miyazu Bay from the inland Aso Sea from north to south, and is one of the Three Most Scenic Spots of Japan. It’s famous for being able to see the sandbar upside down through your legs! Let’s head to the observation deck! You can walk to Amanohashidate View Land, where the observation deck is located, from the station. It’s easy to get to the top of the mountain by taking the monorail or lift. I bought a round-trip lift and monorail ticket, as well as a combined ticket for the hot spring facility in front of the station. I chose the lift because it looked fun. Amanohashidate View Land is at the top of the mountain. I waited in line for about 10 minutes before my turn came. I’m a little nervous for some reason lol I got on well👍 I reached the top in about 6 minutes. I feel like I want to ride it longer♪ At the lower parts, my feet almost touch the ground. Looking back, this is the view!! We have arrived at Amanohashidate View Land. What a beautiful view. You can see the sandbar of the pine forest. I would like to see Amanohashidate upside down. When you look at it like this, the sandbar looks like a dragon rising into the sky. What do you think? Did you see a dragon? Amanohashidate View Land is a small amusement park with a cafe and some attractions. It’s a small Ferris wheel. Cute♡ I came here for another reason. I want to ride this cycle car♪ Cycle cars move by pedaling with your feet. You can see the spectacular view of Amanohashidate from this cycle car, so everyone is taking pictures while pedaling. I’m heading for a great view point too. It’s nice to go at your own pace♪ There’s no obstruction and you can see the whole view! Awesome! The laid-back atmosphere is very comfortable. There are also merry-go-rounds, go-karts, archery, shooting gallery, mini steam locomotives, and more. Small children will love it. I’ll go to the observation deck, which is designed in the image of a flying dragon. I’d like to enjoy the free things. Wow, you can see Amanohashidate very well. The deck curves and descends, and is designed to resemble the body of a dragon. What a beautiful view! I was able to fully enjoy the view of Amanohashidate. I then took the lift back to the station. If you want to try both the lift and the monorail, you might want to take the monorail up and the lift back down, since the lift faces the mountain on the way up and Amanohashidate faces the back. The monorail runs every 20 minutes. I’ll buy dinner at a shop in front of Amanohashidate Station. They sell takeaway bento boxes of crab and grilled mackerel sushi. Be careful, you have to get there early on weekends or they’ll sell out! I’ll take a walk around the area around Amanohashidate Station for a while. There are cafes, restaurants, and souvenir shops lined up. There is a magnificent temple right next to Amanohashidate. Although it is not as big as Sensoji Temple in Asakusa, there was a very large lantern at the temple gate. Chionji Temple is a sacred place for the Manjusri faith and is a temple that worships wisdom. The hidden Manjusri Bodhisattva statue is only open to the public five days a year. It is a historic temple with a tower designated as an Important Cultural Property on its grounds. The size of the mountain gate tells us that it is a sacred place of faith for the people. To go to the other side through Amanohashidate You can take a sightseeing boat or a speedboat You can also rent a bicycle. US$3.4 for 2 hours. Each bicycle has a name lol If you have time, you can also choose to walk. It’s nice to take a leisurely walk through the pine forest while enjoying the beautiful scenery. I’d like to have lunch at Tantan-ya. Looks delicious!! The entrance is at the end of the narrow passageway next to the building. The building is a renovated house. The owl ornaments are cute♡ The interior is decorated in a purely Japanese style. It feels like visiting grandma’s house in the countryside. The menu only features dishes using Wagyu beef.
I splurge and order the most expensive bento! It comes with tea and costs US$17!! The drink containers are cute. Do they have lids for takeout? I wish my lunch would come soon. I’m hungry. It’s here!!! The kanji for Tango (Tan) is written in wasabi. I also ordered a different type of lunch. I cut the boiled eggs with string before eating. They’re perfectly soft-boiled! Looks delicious!! Let’s start with the meat! The meat is good, so it was simply cooked with salt and pepper. The meat is so tender♡ This meat was cut thinner than the previous one, and was grilled with sauce. The sauce was delicious, so I was more than satisfied with this bento. Considering the price, is this bento better? This tea container is very nostalgic. I didn’t know they still have it. The amount of rice is not so much that I could eat another one lol The food and atmosphere were both good, so I recommend it. From Amanohashidate Station, take the bus to Ine (1 hour) Ine is a town lined with boathouses and is called the Venice of Japan. A boathouse is a wooden building facing the sea that is used to store boats. Get off at the bus stop at the pier for the sightseeing boats that tour Ine Bay. The sightseeing boats depart every 30 minutes, and the fare is US$8.2 for adults and US$4.1 for children. Many birds gather around the sightseeing boats in search of food. The birds that gather there are not seagulls but black-tailed gulls. The sightseeing boat has returned. I bought some bird food at the ticket counter. The small size was US$0.7. I should have bought the larger size at the supermarket. The staff waved us on and we set sail! I wanted to feed the birds right away. Here it comes! I’m on high alert! Another bird is coming from behind! It’s going to get taken! I’ll give some to you too! I only managed to eat the tip! This is fun! Come on, come on! Here it comes! Huh? Lol After a while, we arrived at the area lined with boathouses. An announcement explaining the boathouse is being played on the boat Everyone is so busy feeding the birds that no one seems to be listening lol I want to keep feeding them too! I’m getting good at feeding them too! You don’t often get a chance to see birds flying so close. Birds are gathering on the small sightseeing boats too. A flock of kites appeared halfway through. They were bigger than black-tailed gulls. They’re so big they’re a little scary. I’ll give you some of the leftover sweets. They have a big appetite. That’s it. Maybe because I was looking up at the sky all the time, I realized we were back at the harbor. Tonight we’re staying at “Ine no Funaya Miyabi Bettei,” a hot spring inn that was renovated from a boathouse. This is a former boathouse that has been renovated into a lodging facility. It’s a two-storey inn with a fantastic view from the main room. Because it was a former boathouse, the sea is right in front of you! Too amazing!! For dinner, we had the grilled mackerel sushi and crab sushi we bought at Amanohashidate that afternoon♡ This wonderful inn is introduced in detail in a subchannel dedicated to inns. Please check it out by clicking the link in the summary column♪ The next day, we’ll do some more sightseeing in Ine. This is the view in front of the tourist information center. The first floor is connected to the sea to accommodate boats. Boat houses and sea lions. What a lovely picture. Today I’d like to take a small sightseeing boat and tour the bay. The fare is 1,000 yen per person, and I used a boat called Aqua. You can get a closer look at the boat houses than on yesterday’s large sightseeing boat, and the boatman will explain things to you. The triangular roofed building facing the sea is the boathouse, and the building behind the boathouse with its roof parallel to the mountain is the main house where people live. The main house is at the back, and there is a boathouse in front where people park their boats, so the two buildings are one. Ine is also a filming location for Japanese movies and dramas. This is the boathouse where the movie “Tsuribaka Nisshi” was filmed. Next to it is the boathouse where “Otoko wa Tsurai yo” was filmed. It was fun to see the boathouses up close from the sea side. The boatman had prepared food for the birds, And it was time to feed them again lol Today, countless birds were gathering around the large boat. It was fun to watch them from a distance too. I found a cafe with a nice atmosphere. This cafe is located inside “Ochayano no Kaka”. You can see the harbor and ships outside the large windows. Maybe these are ships and tools used for fishing in the past? The menu includes drinks and light meals such as waffles. The scones look delicious♡ The coffee maker is apparently made in Italy. That’s the real deal! The second floor is a free museum, so I’ll look around until my drink is ready. There are displays of fishing tools and other items used in daily life at that time. I had a simple waffle and a brown sugar honey latte. I’ve arrived at the roadside station. There is an observation deck with a panoramic view of Ine Bay. Ine is also a filming location for the NHK TV series. Unfortunately, it was raining lightly and the sky was dark on this day. I’m sure it would be even more beautiful on a sunny day. The view of the boathouses lined up is unique. I’m back at Amanohashidate Station. I’d like to use the combined ticket for Amanohashidate View Land I bought yesterday to go to the hot spring next to the station. It’s a very tasteful building! It’s like something out of Ghibli’s Spirited Away! The interior of the building has a very retro feel and a great atmosphere. I wasn’t able to take photos of the bath, but the bathhouse was very tasteful and nice! I recommend it! It was so good that if I come here again, I’ll definitely come back. I hope this will be helpful for your travels♪ See you next time!
