Join us and discover beautiful beaches, rugged landscapes, pretty towns, desolate mountain ranges that sweep down to stunning lakes, unique architecture, history and folklore, no shamrocks, no challes, and definitely no shenanigans. Just make it Ireland. [Music] Today’s little road trip takes us along a road that National Geographic described as the most beautiful place on Earth. This is the stunning Dingle Peninsula. 30 mi or 48 km of pure scenic gold that’s bound to amaze even the most welltraveled holiday makers. [Music] It’s so beautiful then that it’s probably not that surprising that this coastline is a movie star as well as a beauty spot. Films such as David Lean’s Epic Ryan’s Daughter, a brilliant film if you’ve ever seen it, and Star Wars: The Last Jedi are among the films that were shot here. This is of course part of the Wild Atlantic Way, a scenic drive that stretches the full length of Ireland’s west [Music] coast. The western end of the peninsula also sits in one of Ireland’s Guild regions. And for those watching from outside Ireland, these are the parts of Ireland where Irish is still the predominant spoken [Music] language. Now, this film confines itself to a journey of only about halfway along the peninsula, but it’ll give you a taste for the scenery that you’re likely to encounter here. You can also watch some of the other videos I’ve made around here, like the one in Dingle Town or the one featuring the beautiful Inch Beach. [Music] While admiring this fantastic scenery, maybe offer the film a like if this is the kind of thing that tickles your fancy. And remember too to subscribe to the channel. It costs you nothing, but it helps support the channel. Something to do with an algorithm. Besides, if you subscribe, you’re more likely to find Naked Ireland videos in your YouTube feed. And who wouldn’t want that? Share the film too with other people interested in Ireland, its countryside, and its [Music] culture. After our drive today finishes, you could continue on out to the Connor Pass, the highest mountain road in Ireland. Beyond that, there’s the Kum Minu Beach with its view out to the uninhabited Blaset Islands. In fact, you don’t need to stop there. You can get a ferry out to the blasc. You can also take what’s called the sleigh head drive around the peninsula beginning at Dingle Town. It’s a 30 km route that’ll give you a breathtaking look at the coastline, its towns, and its villages. It takes a couple of hours if you don’t stop along the way at one of the sites or at one of the pubs. [Music] And talking of pubs, if you really enjoy these Naked Ireland videos and would like to make a contribution to help keep the videos coming, you can now buy me a paint. Just follow the link in the second paragraph of the description below the video and that’ll take you straight to the donation page. It’s really easy and all donations are so useful. [Music] The peninsula sits of course in County Kerry and we have Dingle Bay to the left of us now making its way out into the Atlantic Ocean. Across the bay to the south, you have the Sea Fin, Beanmore, and Nakna Dober Mountains that lends further drama to the bay from this peninsula. And if you’re looking for a place to base yourself when visiting the peninsula, you could do worse than staying in Dingle Town itself. It’s a beautiful place, as you saw in my previous video, with a pack of amazing pubs and restaurants at your disposal. Otherwise, why not base yourself off the peninsula in Tril where you’ll have a bigger town with all its amenities as well as being within easy striking distance of Kani town and of course the beautiful ring of carry. Check out my film in Kani too and Kenmar which is a little bit further south. Again, County Carry really has a lot of beautiful places waiting to be discovered. Now, I’ve created this little road trip video because car is the easiest way of seeing this remote part of Ireland, but that’s not to say that they’re not fantastic walking and hiking trails, but the car enables you to see a lot of the landscape very quickly. And just look at this road. It’s a complete joy to drive along here. But just try and keep your eyes in the road. Let your passengers do the looking and they can tell you how beautiful it all was later on when you’re in the pub. Even the clouds seem to have a unique beauty today. They’re Irish clouds created specifically by the Irish tourist board to make the peninsula even more appealing and photographable. [Music] I just of course although there’s real poetry about this seascape and the peninsula here is in fact an important place for Gillic literature. [Music] [Music] [Music] But here’s a poem in English by Bernard Kennedy. to take us out of this [Music] film. From main roads through the pass and there beneath as if a mountain gate over a valley, lake or bay. A golden road to visit a past. Pig the baskets basket of another age of literature. All writers on the island and embryo of Ireland vacated to new lands or round sleigh head a bleak peak a romance with Ryan’s daughter. A corner fluid of memory and romance. Now we are too sophisticated beyond the word of linking mountain and sea and honestly dingle beautiful [Music] town. What a lovely way to end this journey. Hopefully I’ll see you all soon in the next naked Ireland video. [Music]

The Dingle Peninsula is magical.
Stunning landscape, a beautiful drive!
Thanks. Part of my clan and people's home territory and our ancient kingdom of Desmond. Very beautiful.
I remember the drive out Dingle well, even after 23 yrs. We went out to Slea head later and drove Conor Pass, though more by accident than planning 😂. It is indeed a beautiful area. It wasn’t called The Wild Atlantic Way when I was last there 😆 If your after a pass to drive one day try Healy Pass, Cork 😁
Yellow van!! 1:43 Seen it first!!! Stunning landscape you have brought to the World Greg. What a fantastic privilege to experience nature at its finest. It was wet when I drove my old Ford Transit down the Pinisula, so I only caught glimpses of this beautiful landscape. Thank you once more for breaking my wee heart , here amongst the diaspora.
I've been on the Dingle peninsula half dozen times. Done the trail on foot twice. Ballyferriter is a lovely village and Dingle town is one of the best in Ireland for pubs and good food. When I first went there in the early eighties it felt wonderfully remote. Tourism wasn't much of a thing then and you really got up close and personal with the natives. Nowadays I find it overrun with tourists, in Summertime anyway. It's still worth the trip in early Spring or late Autumn. Those fields reaching up the hillsides will always be magical to me.
Si vienen a Asturias flipan.
