I Lost Everything in Guadeloupe… But Found Something Deeper 🇬🇵🦋 (Reverse Vlog)
Have you ever watched a vlog backwards? No. Me neither. But to understand this one, we’ve got to hit rewind. Christopher Nolan style. This story isn’t just about a holiday. It’s about brotherhood. I’ve known my brother here for 20 years. We grew up together. My mom, his mom, his mom, my mom. But somehow after all these years of loyalty and friendship, he’s never been on a holiday together. Not one. But life’s mental like that. So, fast forward. Nah, let’s actually rewind a bit. My brother flew to Guadaloop for work. And I thought, why not? A well needed break, some sunshine, and lness in the French Caribbean. Welcome to Guadaloop, a hidden gem of an island where the beaches look like near long. Every street corner feels like community and the people, they carry smiles for days. But don’t let the vibes fool you. This place has layers and deep ones. In this vlog, we’ll sip on rum. We’ll fly in the skies and we’ll dive into the water. But more importantly, we’ll dive into something deeper. The history of Guada Loop. From its beauty to his scars of his past, we’ll explore the lasting influences of slavery and how it shaped his paradise. This is more than just another travel vlog. It’s adrenaline. It’s humor and a whole lot of Caribbean essence. Welcome to Guadaloop. Holiday from hell in paradise. [Music] I’m a love and miss you my brother. You know what I’m saying? You get me? It’s been a It’s been a pleasure. God, it’s been nothing but nothing. [Music] Like I said, to start this story, we’ve got to start from the end. But to get to the end, you have to begin. And this was my last day in Guadaloop. We began the day at the Memorial ACT, a museum that tells the story of the transatlantic slave trade and its legacy in the Caribbean and beyond. Now, I won’t lie to you. This wasn’t some shocking revelation for me. It’s history I already knew. But here is told in a way that’s different. The kind of way that makes your chest high and your mind race. Even though you already know the ending, they’ve turned history into something you can actually feel. You’re given these headphones that automatically switch to the story of each room you step in. It’s eerie, but in the best way. Every step, every story, it pulls you in deeper. We’re in the Black History Museum at the moment. Going to take it in. We’re not allowed cameras. I’ll tell you how it is when we get out of here. The museum breaks it down into five main parts. The ancient origins of slavery, the transatlantic slave trade era, the abolition movement, the postabolition era, and the contemporary legacy of slavery. The memorial ACT doesn’t shy away from the truth. It’s raw. It’s heavy. It’s necessary. It shows how black people were treated as commodities then and in some places now. And while that’s not news to me or some of you, seeing it laid out like this, I’ll be honest, it stays with you. This was the perfect way to end my time in Guadaloop. Not because it was easy to take in, but because it was important. History isn’t just dates and events. It’s stories as people. It’s survival. And as I stood here, headphones on, walking through centuries of pain, resistance, and resilience, it reminded me of the moral of this whole vlog. Live in the moment, appreciate life, and cherish the little thing. So, we just left the Black History Museum. Oh, yeah. Honestly, what would you think about? A lot of stuff that we knew already and a lot of stuff we found, we found out was a very honest Black History Museum because they let you know like Yeah. Everything basically about Jamaica. But, you know, I did that though. The immersive thing was called the immersive. Yeah. So you have to wear you have to wear the headphones and then when you walk into a different room, you just click the button and then it just knows you’re in the room and then it tells you information about the room. So it’s a virtual tour. That’s the best. I I don’t really go museums. I’ll be completely honest. But I I’d rather go to a museum that’s about me than go to a museum that’s about his story. Yeah. You know what I’m saying? History. Not our story. It’s not our story. Yeah. But that was mad as well as well as well. That was good cuz we even talking about um Joe the black the black Portuguese brother who was rolling with Christopher Columbus when he was taking over the place. So he just a seller seller. Yeah. But a lot of a lot of a lot of them were doing that selling their own people and doing stuff like that trying to get money. Some of them were only using slaves that were non-believers of whatever religion they was pushing. Trying to push a certain 95% of the slaves that was on them boats. 25% were children. Which was mad. That was that’s painful. All in all, it was a good experience, but at the same time, definitely an upsetting experience. Yeah. Yeah. But it’s stuff that we already knew. And after watching Ruth when we was like 10 years old, it’s like we know we know certain things and the only thing is cuz they were more in depth and you could see more what’s going on. It’s like, wow, this was actually we know about this actually bigger than you know what I’m saying cuz people talk about the Americans, but when you go and you speak about the Portuguese and the French and everyone’s playing Monopoly, everyone’s involved. Everyone’s playing Monopoly with us and where the property. It was it was nice to see how they go from island to island from Sam avenues that they take and the routes that they take. It was a lot. Right now we’re in the only fivestar hotel on the island. Yeah. Got walking through. This hotel’s banging. This table right here is the most expensive one when you come to dinner for this. Nice and loose. Oh, shut up. How’ you notice? Oh, you’ve been having it. I didn’t think it was smart to let me take over the Memorial ACT coverage. You know, me being the melanin deficient member of this operation, probably for the best, eh? But listen, this guy thinks he’s Jordan Peele now. And I’m not about to let this creative director nonsense fly without me. So, the boys, our star Benny and his co-star Shaki, who Benny somehow not bothered to properly introduce yet, are off to Latubana, one of the first five-star hotels in Guadaloop. Fancy, right? Binnie reckons this is the pinnacle of Caribbean luxury. But let’s be honest, he’s mostly here for the views and vibes, not the fine dining. Some FOC [ __ ] you know what I mean? Outside sea. Long live Z shower. You know the team. Forever. Long live Z money. Forever. Ever till the day I die. [Music] Bonsaw. Now, I know what you’re thinking. Binnie looks like a professional swimmer here, or Michael Phelps with the confidence of Aquaman. But the truth is far more unsettling. If you really want to know how good he is in the water, go watch the Krabby vlog. Spoiler alert, the only thing he was swimming in was [Music] panic. Listen, these people, they need to sponsor us. More specifically, [Music] me. This drink, this drink is absolutely amazing. It’s got pineapples inside of it. Cheers to you. Cheers to you. It’s pineapple rum and it tastes I don’t know what it tastes like, how it tastes, but might be pineapple. I don’t need a girlfriend. I don’t need a girlfriend. What do you need? I need this. And that’s I need this. This is a welcome. I don’t think I can water, man. Bro, water. You don’t need water. You need this, bro. You like what? You like having fun with it like that, bro? This thing’s smooth as [ __ ] bro. And I can’t wait to eat the pineapples once I’m finished. Oh, that’s going to be mad. You think this is better than the orange one? Yeah. Nah, the orange one’s nicer. I I can admit that. The orange one’s definitely nicer. But that’s banger. I watch. Should we drive to that place yourself to go? That place like the highest on Binnie’s bin traveling. Adventures are never planned, just written. The end. This is the end of Guard. See the end of it. I’m the first man to bring alcohol to this. Frank Gallagher on tour. Yeah. Me and Sh. Me and Sh. This is so been an eventful trip. Lost the drone. This camera’s on its way out. My portable monitor broke. But it’s the first holiday I’ve ever gone on. My brother, get the tissues. Grab your loved ones. Benny’s making an emotional drama, people. It’s debatable. And yeah, man. It’s been an eventful one still. Can’t lie. Holiday from hell in paradise. That’s literally what it’s been. But look, right now it’s raining. I’m in a vest, but it’s hot. I’ve got my alcohol with me. I’m more than happy. So, what can we say? Enjoyment, I guess. Enjoyment. That’s how much it’s raining. Jesus. [ __ ] man. We’re going up there. Sh’s going to change his shoes. I’m here. Should have went with him cuz he’s got an umbrella. I didn’t. I’m [Music] here. Dumb. Open. Binnie’s been traveling was supposed to be a wholesome, familyfriendly vlog. But instead of using this cinematic rain moment to launch an R&B career, you know, shirt off singing heartbreak in the downpour, this man decided to use his wet shorts to open a bottle. [Music] [Music] Huh? [Music] See, what the influencers don’t show you is the shameful little walk back to collect the camera you have to do. Obviously, I wouldn’t have to do this if Shaki didn’t randomly turn into Stevie Wonder, but hey, [Music] That’s so mad. I ain’t even see you [ __ ] over here. What up though? Yo, this is looking mad. Might as well get up here. What sort of Ladies and gentlemen, [ __ ] God damn. They got us. They got us. See, Benny always asks ages. He’s not like the uncle or your family says he’s just over excited. Still with [Music] me. This way or this way? up. Ah, mercy alpha dog where mercy showing everyone that that saw my man alive. Yeah. [Music] What? What? What? When I was 14, that’s my best days with my friends and everyone just started beefing. Let’s hope you just want the memories of being 14, Shaki, and not trying to relive our Kelly’s dreams. We made it. We made it. Whoa. A local told us to go check out this spot. Broki just said it’s got views. We had no idea what it was called. No Google search to see what it looked like. Just you wanted to know where it was. We had liquor in our hands, hope in our hearts, and working legs to carry us up whatever mountain this was. Spontaneous, yes. Smart, debatable, what it, 100%. You can actually see neighboring islands to Guadaloop, which is my cool. So, yeah, panoramic views. Cheers. Love is the solution. Family is the remedy. That’s FC ruling. I love to give you guys a quote. up. It’s true. [Music] This wouldn’t be Benny’s bin traveling without some sort of accident. And the guardal loop. Why do they premi I don’t know why there’s a cross here but it’s a cross here. Me and bro are the first people to sit pineapple rum on top of this thing. I think we’re the first people from the ends to be here. 100%. I’ I’ I’d say that’s still 100% alive. Yeah, easily. I say we’re the first people from Northwest. First people from Northwest to touch this thing. What’s it called? Um the end the San the Pont de Chateau. Yeah. And the sun as well. Yeah. We’re the first people to do that. First people from northwest north as well, you know. Yeah. South as well. Nope. What’s this little [ __ ] looking at? He’s trying to steal a rum. I can see his face. You want that? I know you do. That man just can’t help but colonize something in him. He just wanted to taste pineapple rum and catch a vibe. Come on, lads. Play nice. Let the man breathe. Money. First guy to sip one up there. Z money. You feel me? Thousand%. We love and miss you, brother. Yo. Y you son. He would have made his way. Yo. Come on, my bro. Nice. Always. Always. Look at this view. The end of Guadaloop. That is me, isn’t it? Sweetsy. My pops used to tell me the only thing you need to do is live [Music] life. I’m glad I’m able to say I’ve done it. I’m doing it. At least you’ve lived a good life. Decent life could be a lot better, but some stuff you can’t fight. And I guess you just got to deal with the cards you dealt. And that’s what I’m doing. With the cards I’m being dealt, I’m trying my hardest to live life the best way I can. And for me personally, the best way I can, I believe, is actually travel. So, this is what we’re doing. Look at these waves. Those are some big waves, you know. No, never. Watching Bins swim and Prince Andrew walk free. Both miraculous events, both equally unsafe, proceed with caution. [Music] Well, I’m in the end now. I’m in the NZ ends now. Looking for restaurant called Clawets. Hopefully, some yard thing, some proper Creole authentic Asian food. So just cutting through. You don’t know pain. I’ve lost my lost my drone. Lost my footage of Thailand. Subscribe now. I know you’ve all watched the Thailand vlog by now. But if you haven’t, go watch it because that should at least show you that this vlog does in fact have a happy ending. No pun intended. I like to think, you know what? Yeah. Ever since I’ve been young, when I have like st of bad luck, it my mom always used to say it comes in threes. And it always does. You know, I’ve had times in my life I remember holding a stupid L and actually is always coming through. The first one will come, I think, that’s not that bad. And the second one will come, I’ll be like, “All right, cool. That’s not that bad.” Then the third one will come, I’ll be like, “Yo.” I say, “Ah, what’s that about?” The first time my cards got blocked. I was like, “All right, cool. I’m with bro.” Luckily, it’s him as well. He knows I’ll pay him back. So, I was like, “Not the end of the world.” Then what was the drone? And I was like I was like cool. Assuming I thought I’ve just got the drone footage from here. So I was like all right it’s bad but I was like you know what all right cool I just have to use the camera. I’ll get a next drone. Not that bad. Then I thought this morning I said hold on. I said where’s the 512 or something GB memory card? said, “Oh, damn.” I said, “I put that in the drone in it.” I was like, “Oh, put it in the drone.” Then I was like, “Let me check.” Called my sister, made her check my external hard drive at home. Forgot to put the footage on that. And I remember putting that that that memory card into the drone cuz there was still a little bit of storage left. And I took the one that was in there. I put in my put in this. I’d rather lost this memory card, man. Not much on there, guys. But listen, life is actually all I can say is life. These things shouldn’t happen, but they happen. When they happen, damn [ __ ] What we off to today? Today man’s going to go to the beach as a matter of volleyball pre uh today we’re going to link the dog volleyball quickly see what they’re dealing with and then man’s going to go to a coma waterfalls then we’re going to go to buoyant hot springs natural springs 33° you feel me and then we’re going to go to the black history museum puntita and from there s an caraval beach and then the only five-star This new guy, Shaki, is out here stealing my role. I do the narration around here, so let’s roll with it. So, Benny and Shaki are off on another adventure. This time with a new buddy, TN. Apparently, he’s out here for work, too. Something about Guadaloop hiring black bodyguards for some secret mission. Sounds exciting, right? Unfortunately for our boy Binny, they weren’t exactly looking for, let’s just say, rounder fellas. So, no special ops for him this time. Shame, really. Imagine Binny as 007. Anyway, their day kicks off with a classic Caribbean start. A fresh coconut water in hand. FOC FOC. So over here you got the coconuts. Hello. You feel me? Like CN. And this is mad cuz this means this is all the coconuts that they sold for today. FOC FOC FOC FOC. Oh man, that’s the Hey, FOC is the only way, bro. It’s the only way. It’s the only way. It’s the only way. Obviously FOC Benny founder Sugar Mama. You know what I’m saying? Being his woman. Hopefully you could get a stay in the [Music] country. Walking along the ocean with my drone dropped and I’m trying to hope trying to hope it’s going to wash up. I know it’s not going to work. I used to, but if it did, I probably start praying. So clear as well. I should be able to see it. My fear is someone probably already found it. Who knew the loss of a drone could reduce a grown man to tears? I don’t even think I think it could work. Apparently, it can work if it’s dropped in the ocean. RIP dronie, but she was never making it back. [Music] If anyone did or does find Joanie, I hope you tell her that her family loved her and we do miss her. I miss her. So, this is the part of the vlog that starts with a sad tale. Me wandering up and down the beach like a lost puppy looking for a drone that left me. Help and find and yeah, we didn’t find anything. And plus, my French is so meaty. So, that didn’t help either. I could feel some of the locals frustration and it’s not their fault. It’s actually mine. So, there’s a language barrier. But Shaki, Shaki’s been there for a while. He kind of understands how they talk. He’s not speaking English. He’s not speaking Creole. He’s not speaking French. I don’t know what he’s doing, but they understand him. because basket perhaps sometime we play basket of the yeah you okay I’m going to go there me now I’m mumbling stuff I don’t even know I don’t know what I’m doing so eventually I had to put my phone down that’s why I got no like a lot of footage talking to the locals unless I’m the loveliest people I met. So next time when I go back, I need to do that cuz I was just busy using my phone for Google Translate trying to make conversation. I doubt it was good, but I was trying. So after I left the beach, drone was humbled and I decided to hike a comac waterfall. I needed peace. I needed healing. But what I didn’t expect was to walk through a place soaked in survival and history. Guadaloop looks like a paradise now. Beaches, waterfalls, island vibes. But this land remembers back in the 17 and the 1800s, enslaved Africans who couldn’t take the plantation life anymore ran. These were the maroons, warriors, rebels, freedom seekers, and they didn’t run to the city. No, of course not. They ran right here. Well, to places like this, deep into the forest, into the waterfalls, caves with vines, places like a coma. Imagine that. Yeah. Just barefoot, bruised, running with nothing but hope in a heartbeat, knowing the price of being caught was death or worse. But yeah, they still ran. And the colonizers, they didn’t just let that slide. They sent patrols, bounty hunters, and even other wagons to track them down. Madness. But the maroons weren’t just survivors. They were strategic. They knew the land better than anyone. They formed many communities, fought back, and lived off the grid before off the grid was even a thing. So when you walk this trail, it’s more than just a hike. It’s more than just a hack. You’re walking in the footsteps of people who turned struggle into resistance. People who had nothing, no freedom, no comfort, but still found a way to survive. That’s just not survival. That is legacy. And now here I am droneless, humbled, but here looking at the same waterfall that probably gave some other people a chance to breathe, a place to clean their wounds, a place to rest, a place to be. We come here now for content, for vibes, for gram. But back then they came here for freedom, for life. I lost the drone, but I gain perspective. It gets loaded. I just get Oh [ __ ] We got to climb this [ __ ] back up. Yeah. Easier time is easier than going down. for all. I’m sweating. But look, we’re in the promised land. What Moses and Jesus spoke about? Wait, wait, wait. Oh, it’s recording now. All right, cool. Where people jumping from? Men jump from usually here. Look here. Or Where this or where this young is going? Yeah. What you put in this water salt? What kind of water? I’m not sure, but there’s fishing. It’s a freshwater waterfall fed by mountain streams in the area. [Music] Not yet. I got to get this on the phone as well. Not yet. Hold on. Hold on. Hey, where’s my [Music] [Music] [Applause] phone? What’s that? A bird? A plane? A Nope, it’s just Benny. Swimming like a champ now after nearly drowning in Thailand. Shame about that dive though. Looked more like he slipped. But hey, he’s in the water. Not panicking. Progress. Fog. F. It’s official. Me swimmer. Me Jim swimmer. That’s my name. Simmer. Yeah, that’s what I meant to say. Now the real question is, is Shaki just a terrible French teacher or is Benny secretly auditioning for I am Sam? Oh my I missed it. 360. Oh yeah, we’re recording. 360. Hurry and sponsor the man. He’s quicker to explain your camera than a racist is to say they have black friends. They didn’t. They didn’t believe in him. But guess who did? God did. Come on. You know the man still. Come on, bro. They didn’t believe in you, but guess who did? Shack did. Shaq did. And guess who did? God did. God did. Hey. Nestled on the west coast of Guadaloop lies a place that’s been bubbling for centuries. Quite literally. Welcome to boil. I know it sounds mad, but it’s just French for boiling. And boiling it is. This seaside gem isn’t just hot. It’s Guadaloop’s answer to Iceland’s Blue Lagoon. Only with less overpriced skin care, and you can buy rum locally, while Iceland’s Blue Lagoon clocks in at a toasty 40°. Boy, last, bro. It hits temperatures of 45° depending on where you park your cheeks. Nature’s Hot Tub Caribbean style. And here’s the kicker. It’s free. No ticket boost, no influences or Q jumps. Just step into the ocean and get slowcooked by earth. It’s located right on the beach, which means you can soak up while chatting with the locals, sipping on some rum or some ginip like we are, or just pretending you’re on a volcanic spark. Locals use it to relax and unwind. We was using it to eat fruit and chat [ __ ] [Music] I feel like I’m chilling with Dr. Eggman. If you’ve ever been blue lagoon, then you’ll know there’s a smell in the air that smells like egg. It’s the same for boil. It’s just a sofa. I don’t know why sofa smells eggy, but it does. But eventually, you get used to it. I’ll be completely honest. [Music] Well, would you look at that? Binnie is finally crawling out of his shell this vlog. Maybe it’s the family vibes. Maybe it’s the Caribbean sunshine. Or maybe he’s just feeling brave cuz Shaki is backing him up. Still, let’s not get ahead of ourselves. He’s got more improvements to make than Sadiq Khn. He still can’t introduce a soul. So, let me do the honors. We’re here at Buouant, Vinnie, Shaki, and Tienne. But wait, there’s more. Meet Jinny. Yep, Jinnie is the wild card. The special guest on today’s secret mission. Now, this bit’s muted. Don’t blame me. Blame the mission. Apparently, Jinny and Shaki are plotting something so hush hush, even the microphone had to take five. Don’t worry, you’ll get the tea soon enough. Feel like the end of a T or something. Feel like the end of a mission on a game where you’re just like chilling. We done it, boys. We done it, guys. 100 100 plus respect there. Yeah, bro. Eating food, sun setting. This is what life’s about. Yeah. I wake up and I was in a dream. I was in Compton. God damn it. Here we go again. Probably wondering how I got here. H for that thing. Huh? You can find a bucket, please. Good. Nice. Dang it. Yeah, that’s one thing I understand. And there you have it. Buyant, a place where the sea boils and the air sizzles. Nature’s kettle, slow cooking people since the 1600s. It’s free, it’s fiery, and it’s the only beach where your tan comes with a side of geothermal therapy. You came for a swim. You left with poached thighs and a tan line. But after sweating out your sins in volcanic broth, what comes next? Hydration, rest, a spiritual cleanse. Not if you’re Binnie and Shaky. It’s deep fried dough stuffed with meat and cheese. Nigel, I got it from here. So, let me tell you guys about something called Bocket. I’m not going to gatekeep. Now, this is so beautiful. This isn’t just a sandwich. This is Caribbean history folded into dough and fried with love. You know, I like to give you guys some backstory to a lot of things. So let me explain. Bocket was born in Guadaloop, but his roots go deeper. Back to colonial times when enslaved Africans weren’t given access to proper bread. So what did these resourceful guys do? They made their own. No oven, no problem. Forget it. They took flour, water, a little salt, and boom, fried it in oil. Resourceful, revolutionary, and let’s be honest, it tastes better than half of the baguettes I had in Paris. All the bread I had in the UK. Over time, Bucket Evolved. Now we’re here and it’s stuffed with chicken, fish, cheese, sauces, you name it. I had one that tasted like a full Sunday dinner in a bun. So when you bite into bucket, remember, you’re not just eating street food. You’re tasting survival, creativity, and Caribbean soul all in one crunchy, juicy bite. History never tasted so painful. All right, commercial [Music] done. All right, here’s me. First taste of the pocket [Music] like a dumpling burger. If you ever do come to Wild Loop, definitely try Bokeet. If you don’t, but you still want to try bocket. Think it looks nice. This is the place you can go and get it in London. I haven’t personally tried it, so I don’t know. But give it a shot. After devouring that lovely bucket and pretending I was some sort of nature warrior hiking and going with the buoyant, we called it a day. Morning came and like an unpaid intern, I was back outside on a solo mission. Today’s foolishness, jet skin. I pulled up to place D bar du for bro, I don’t know how to pronounce it. I’m sorry. This beach looked like Neol long in the ’90s though. Just pure beauty had me smiling like a fool. Then of course, trouble found me. Some guy upsold me on a jet ski ride to a bird island. Did I ask questions? No. Did I think about it? No. Man said tropical birds. I said say less. Where do I sign? Astounding decision-m really the pinnacle of intelligence, aren’t you, Binny? Allow me, Nigel, man. But listen, I’m flying across the water on this jet ski, feeling like a broke James Bond. And to be fair, we was on the jet skis for time. Long enough for me to start questioning my life choices and long enough for my camera to start moving. Like propery. You ever seen a camera just start bugging out? No. Well, I have. My one was basically on life support. The footage, I guess it’s all right. I don’t know. But anyway, we finally pulled up to this so-called bird island. Yes, it was technically an island and yes, there were birds, but me, I was expecting bright birds, tropical birds. I wanted to be David Amber for the day. All I saw was hella white birds. I’m not a racist. They’re called white tailed tropic birds. They’re just hella white. I wanted to see tropical ones. Next time, Benny, ask if the birds come tropical and if the island’s a castaway type island or just an island for feathered creatures. Yes, Nigel. I know. I should have asked more questions. Lesson learned. If the door sounds too magical, yes, I’m probably about to get scammed over. Fair enough. The camera didn’t have a funeral. I just had to invest. I upgraded to Insta 360 X4. That’s basically the cousin of the camera I already had. And you’ll get to see that properly in the next vlog. Binny’s Bin Bara. And yeah, in the next one, we’re reviewing the camera’s cousin properly this time. Well, I’m in the end. I’m in the NZ ends now. Looking for restaurant called Clawette. Probably some yard thing. Some proper creole authentic Asian food. So yeah, we’re just cutting through. Oh, it’s up there. It’s up there. Whoa. Whoa. That’s all right. Whoa. The light me. These dog interactions are going to kill our favorite travel block. I got my heart. You might froze though. So after throwing myself around the ocean on a jet ski, basically blacking myself in the Caribbean Sea, I had one thing in my mind, food. But not just any food. I wanted something authentic, real, straight from the culture. So I made my way to Claudets and Pointer P where the locals eat. Now if you don’t know Pointer Peter, let me paint a picture. This ain’t the resort side of Guadaloop. No beachfront buffets. This is the end. the real Guadaloop where the food slaps, it’s less touristy, and the locals are welcoming, but speak less English, more Creole or French like the majority. Speaking of friendly, I’ll tell you who isn’t the local dogs. Now, I don’t speak dog creole. I don’t speak dog, but I understood every single word. And let me tell you, when a street dog in the end says leave, you leave. But my belly was talking louder than the dog. So, I powered through and I reached Claudette. And listen, this place, it was all right. When I tell you this food was a blessing, I had monk fish with rice and peas in a spicy sauce with some steamed veg. The food did give me a kind of vibe like, yeah, I know this is going to punch up my stomach tomorrow. So, this gets a 7 out of 10. Would I go back? Definitely. Because the food definitely wasn’t bad and there was a variety of options. It was home food. I know my belly shook English because they look like they’re from the end. going to say, “Oh, I got you.” You speak English? They’re not. But it’s nice, but I feel like myion. [Music] Okay. By now, you should already know I love scuba diving. I mean, I have issues swimming, absolutely. But ultimately, I can survive in water. Obviously, if I was left alone in the middle of the ocean longterm, yes, 1,000% I’m dead. There’s no doubt about it. But if someone’s with me, just going to lock down for a little bit. Well, unless they hear me screaming. So, I went scuba diving and let me tell you now, this was the best dive I’ve ever done. But listen, you lot are going to realize watching this vlog, I’m not just filming on holiday. I’m trying to be Christopher Nolan, Jordan Pill, David Fincher, Ryan Cougler, Bong Jong-u, all of my favorite directors into one. I’m trying to create a holiday masterpiece on an action camera. Penny, you’re acting as if you invented cinema. Just say you messed up the camera settings and let’s move on. All right. All right. So, cuz I’m trying to become an elite director, I started messing around with the ISO and white balances, trying to learn more about color grading and all that, except I kind of messed it up. I forgot to switch my camera back to auto before the dive. So, I had it all perfectly set up for land footage, but when I hit water, the footage was absolutely cooked. Like fullon cooked, bro. It was looking like I was in milk. So, basically, the Binie Cinematic Universe is now available in 144p underwater edition. I attempted to fix this the best I could with some color grading. Did it work? Listen, you’re going to have to be the judge of this, but listen, that’s not the important part. The important part is I finally saw a turtle. If you’ve been watching my vlogs, then you know the mission I’ve been on is to see turtles for ages. I’ve been doing I’ve been diving all over hoping to spot one for Mali, for myself, for the culture, for you guys. And finally, I did it. Mission completed. The footage is dead, of course, but at least my dive guy recorded a clip. Big him up. He’s the real MVP of the story. [Music] [Music] Loss is something we all have to deal with. Whether it’s a drone, a sense of direction, or someone you love, the price you pay for caring, for being present. Now, the moment you’re witnessing, as beautiful as the view is, was the final time I ever saw Johnny, our beloved flying companion, gone, vanished. a tropical bird in what I can only assume was a personal mission. Flew straight into the drone. Clipped my drone midflight and yeah, sent it straight into the Caribbean just like that. Gone. And in that moment, I realized this whole trip, it wasn’t just sun and sea. It was a test, a test of patience, resilience, and whether I could still find peace when everything seemed to be falling apart. Literally, bad things will happen. They they always do. But if you’re still breathing that you’re still laughing, you’re still able to tell the story even through grainy footage and soul disasters like I have, then you’ve already won. That’s what this trip became, a holiday from hell in paradise. Jonie, you was loved by all, especially your family. Shaki even looked for you with the death in paradise crew, but he couldn’t find you. Thanks though, Shaq. We appreciate you. I was flying my drone over the pier. A bird hit it and now I’ve got no drone. Story line aside, how mad that Joanie died in the same spot that Shaki got pushed into in Death in Paradise. All right, back to the vlog. Just a guy that’s lost his drone, but still trying to get me keep the spirits keep my spirits high cuz I mean, well, I’m on holiday. us banging whatever’s nice. I’m with my brother. So yeah, but morale is a bit low for me, but you at me. They always push through. And it goes to change some cash as well. All my cars have been blocked from overseas. I ride them trying to unlock them for me. What’s that go? Locking them on my broken like the may. I didn’t even I didn’t even pay for the petrol saying they just they just they just look the petrol is right now petrol kind of [Music] know this turn the [Music] [Music] engine sit down This is actually lit. That’s [Music] actually born here. Poly. What does that mean though? I know that. Say no, it’s not there. It just said that mean you speak. You speak French. Yeah, that’s what they say to you. And you’re supposed to say, you know, poly. I’m sure it’s gene English, which means I don’t speak French. Speaking English, if you haven’t already figured it out, Benny and Shaki are not Dolingo. So yes, ladies and gentlemen, school is most definitely out. [Music] Ah, yes. Lovely beach with the camera, huh? Good day. Thank you, man. Have a good day. [Music] I just got some. Wait, what the hell is going on there? Yeah, that’s cold. And I got this. M definitely just one full one full trying to drive. I’m going to see you maybe tomorrow. You here tomorrow. He does um you know YouTube. YouTube. So he shows everyone the drink. Okay. So everyone in London they come here they see Lucas. Lucas. Yes. Just just local local. Yeah, my bro. Thank you, Luk. I’ll see you tomorrow, brother. Nice truck. He’s just outside. Yeah, you clearly outside. I got a fresh sour sap. Sour sap. So good. It blows your house. You know that we’re here. Literally. Boy, loop by colonizer standards is actually France, but it’s in the Caribbean. It’s not just a random island. They are a fullon overseas department of France. So euros, French police and baguettes with Caribbean flavors. Excuse man. Yeah, we’re going on an adventure. That song from the backyard. Huh? What’s that song from the backyard? I don’t know about that. Yo, old backyard. What’s that with a black animal? You what? Backyardian. That sounds racist, bro. One of them is a monkey. Yo. Nah, bro. It’s a Well, one of them little [ __ ] I don’t even know what you turn into island, man. Blood. Cuz these stones are [ __ ] up. Yeah, but I’m in sliders, blood. Sliders. I told you European. I ain’t European. You are. I’m African. Yeah, right. Yes. Right. Like like J says, I’m an African. Straight. I’m a African. You’re a Caribbean, bro. That looks fake. Oh, this is the white sand, man. Oh, and this ain’t even the best white sand. Look at this. From dust to dawn. Know what that means? Yo, this is nice. Nice. Nice. Being shot. Sh my [ __ ] Yo. O look at this. This is mental. Absolutely mental. I’m in paradise, Mom. I made it. I made it, Mom. I’m in paradise. Oh, the sand’s burning up my foot, bro. Yeah. [Music] No French, bro. Only English. I need to learn French. My brother. Hey. Hey. Yeah. Come on. Back out. Yeah. Have you got? No, I left him over there. Oh, you put up so you don’t get dragged. I think so. I think so. Hold on. Where’s the phone? Oh, is that okay for that? Yeah. Get on. We don’t let her in the marine life. Yeah, this is nice. Still, we were trying to get over there. When bro came last time, the water weren’t hitting this. So, mission fell. Water was stopping. Are you facing your back to the water? Oh, I know a [ __ ] called water. Your back fierce for water. Uh-uh. Is the camera recording? Yeah, it is. Yo, bro. What? It’s beautiful though. life. You know, you know what? Yeah. You know this thing called life is mental. Like proper this proper mad. I can’t even lie. One minute you’re on a beach and go a loop thinking about what flavor rum to sip. The next you’re hugging your brother at the airport thinking, “Yo, this time went so quick.” And I guess that’s the whole point of this vlog. Life is short, painful, confusing. Sometimes it slaps you in the face and you just got to walk off and got to take it, I guess. But somehow in all that mess, you find laughter. You find people, you find moments. And those little moments, those are the things we live for. is it’s about remembering that joy is resistance. That happiness is an act of survival. That comedy is how we cope when the pain’s too loud. That sometimes all you can do is laugh. Cuz if you don’t laugh, you’ll cry. And tears don’t look that good on camera anyway. Especially not on me. I don’t look good crying. Hate it personally. But anyway, this one’s for the ones that we’ve lost. For the ones we still have, for the ones we argue with, cry with, dance with, make memories with, give thanks every day. Especially when it’s [ __ ] Especially when it’s [ __ ] Cuz the pain that don’t mean nothing if it don’t remind you how beautiful love and life is. So live your life, make your memories, chat [ __ ] travel, troll your friends, hug your people, but above all and my favorite, love loud, cuz this life ain’t promised. I promise you. I promise you. But it’s precious. So precious. So appreciate that. Anyway, back to the vlog. Guadaloop was a beautiful No, Guadaloop is beautiful little island shaped like a butterfly. [Music] Thought I was dark now, bro. Watch and I come back. Watch and I come back. Oh my god. Told man I’m the melon of the Super Saiyan bro. It’s mental, man. Over here. Everyone look like they bro. Start here in Poland. Oh, no English though. It’s kind of peaceful. Like most holidays, it started with excitement. First few days I touched down in Guadaloop, I did what any Londoner and son would do. I hit the beaches. I flew droney. I tried to blend in with the locals with a camera and a dream. But this trip, it wasn’t just about vibes and visuals. It was about purpose. Main mission, visit my brother, Big Art Shaquille. Yeah. He’s a main character in Death in Paradise, showing black excellence in full HD. 9:00 p.m. BBC 1. So, of course, I had to pull up CM bro acting his socks off. And yes, I’ve taken long to edit this vlog. So, when it does drop, the new season’s already out and it’s finished. Go support that. Go support him. So, most days, Shaki was on set doing what he does best. And me, I done what I do best. I wandered around. Sometimes I was lurking like a tourist turn production assistant for Shaki. I was catching scene take hours to make just to be 2 minutes on screen. I know it’s mental, but it was beautiful. See that type of grind? That’s art. And um I guess in between all of that, I was out here trying to make the most of my own time. I went diving. And not just any diving. The best scuba dive I’ve ever done in my life. My first time diving on the Caribbean. I saw colors under that water that I don’t even think exist on land. Probably a slight exaggeration, but let’s run with it. I found places I’ve never even heard of. Hidden gems, whispered secrets of the island, buoyant, a comarmac at waterfalls, the real guard loop, and food pocket, a sandwich of greatness. Don’t get me started, but let’s not get it twisted. It weren’t all smooth sailing. I broke my camera. I lost my gear. Nearly lost my mind. And at one point, I was just laid out on the sand like a lost flip-flop, questioning everything. Still, in the middle of the drama, I found peace. And that’s why I call it the holiday from hell in paradise. And even with all that madness, I swear to you, I would do it all again. Go out of the loop. you will see me again. This trick reminded me to hold my people close, to make memories that matter, and to appreciate every single messy magical moment in between. So, this one is one for us, for the brothers, the sisters, the dreamers, the ones still figuring it out. Tomorrow isn’t promised, but today the day is [Music] ours. Without a doubt, don’t let them take you like who took out. Shall we be waiting here? We said we be waiting and meditation without a doubt. Don’t let them take you like who will be waiting [Music] there. Know how he feels. [Music] Happy birthday. You know what I’m saying? You know how it’s been, man. So, how we feeling? How does it feel to be 13? Feels s money. Oh, how does it feel to be 18? [Laughter] What the hell? You got to keep it on the road.
