Joetsu Kokusai Ski Resort

On the second day of our first ski trip of the 2024-25 season in Yuzawa, we went to Joetsu Kokusai Ski Resort!
Joetsu Kokusai is the largest single ski resort in Japan.
It’s so vast that you can’t cover the entire area in just one day!
The resort is also easily accessible, with the ski slopes located right in front of the train station.
Deeper into the resort, there’s a well-known restaurant famous for its “Oshiruko” (sweet red bean soup), so be sure to check it out!
The slopes here feature a mix of steep inclines and flat sections that require some walking, so beginners might find it challenging if they venture too far.
