Hello everyone, welcome to my channel.
Today, I’m visiting the Yandang Mountain Scenic Area.
Yandang Mountain is located in Yueqing City, Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province. It is one of China’s top ten famous mountains and is known as the “Famous Mountain on the Sea” and “The Greatest Wonder Under Heaven.” Historically, it has been hailed as the “Number One Mountain in Southeast China.”
It was formed about 120 million years ago during the Cretaceous period and is a typical ancient rhyolitic volcano, often referred to as a “natural museum of rhyolite.”
Yandang Mountain combines grandeur, steepness, and beauty. It is famous for its geological wonders, magnificent waterfalls and springs, ancient temples, and rich cultural heritage — truly a masterpiece among China’s landscapes.
Yandang Mountain stretches across a vast area, covering about 450 square kilometers, and features over 550 scenic spots, divided into eight major scenic areas.
Today, I’ll be taking you to explore one of its most famous spots — the Fangdong Cave Scenic Area. Let’s get started!
