Welcome to Day 1 of an epic 5-day motorcycle adventure through Kumamoto Prefecture, as part of my Project 47 journey—riding through all 47 prefectures of Japan on my trusty Honda GB350s! 🏍️

In this episode, I start my morning leaving a peaceful campsite and hit the road solo, carving through stunning mountain passes and scenic sakura-filled parks. Here’s what you’ll see in this episode:

🌸 Ride down a perfect mountain road surrounded by cherry blossoms
🌋 Head north towards Mt. Aso, Japan’s largest active volcano
🛣️ Navigate the narrow and challenging Route 445—not for the faint of heart!
🌸 Cruise through Kujukumagari Takamori Natural Park, lined with sakura
💧 Visit the serene Shirakawa Springs at the base of Mt. Aso
🏍️ Check out a giant motorcycle statue
🔥 Wind down at a campsite, where I meet a fellow rider and YouTuber
👥 Special guest: こまくさCAMP — check out his awesome camping content!

📍This journey blends motorcycle touring, solo camping, scenic landscapes, and the real connections made along the way.

  1. Lets go another vid! I love this series its like tip to tip but you really get yo explore every part along the way!

  2. This was really cool man, whilst a stranger saying it might not mean much, but sorry about your wife. Illness is always hard to manage. This video seems like a slight shift to not just the were in your travels, but including more on the who. I like it! People generally are all really nice up close. Can’t wait for the next one ☺️

  3. Another great ride. Loving all the cherry blossoms and even the early spring trees since here we only have 2 seasons. Wet and dry. Haha

  4. As always great vid!
You have awesome sweater ! 😋
Huge thanks for linking こまくさCAMP channel in description of your video.

  5. I've been riding since I was 7 I'm 53 this year . I personally don't watch motorcycle content on YouTube as I've lived bikes my hole life , but i certainly make time for your videos mate they are class 👍🦘🇦🇺

  6. Fantastic views. Cherry blossoms make anything look 10X better, right? 😍 I hope I can get down to that part of Japan someday. Dude gave you an ocarina! You should be careful that you don't travel through time and space.

  7. Question about the bike, i was thinkg of buy It, buy buy, im a Little esitante about the cruising Speed, can you Cruise for multiple hours at 100/ 120 kmh?
PS. Sry for my bad english

  8. Fantastic video, love the social interactions. The Japanese are such private people and without much effort you’re able to give us some wonderful moments with the locals.

  9. Can't stand coffee when on a motorcycle trip 😬 After the initial pick-up there is the unavoidable dip, plus that stuff is diuretic and makes you pee like a horse. Better to drink just water 😁

  10. I've been riding along on your Project 47 and your other videos, and I am getting so but SO amped to go to Japan. I already was eager to know Japan, but now it's on top of the list. And hopefully get to ride some of those beautiful roads. By the way, that musical instrument is called an Ocarina (at least here in Portugal). Cheers and keep riding!

  11. Fantastic short film again! Thank you…especially the short dialogues with people. 🙏 You are great! Take care!

  12. You sold me on the 47 prefecture of Japan man, already subscribe and put the bell ring on it.

I just finished taking my kids to school today, using my motorcycle of course, make coffee for me and missus, and then enjoying breakfast whilst joining your adventure riding this beautiful scenery.

  13. Absolutely stunning my daughter and grandkids were there last April thanks for sharing plus waiting for my gb350s 👌😎☕️ps I didn’t realise they drove on the left 👍🏻

  14. Nice work. I live in Fukuoka and was an avid rider until my wife also got cancer. She died with in 10 months of her diagnosis in 2020. My daughter was 6 at the time, so it has been hard to get rides and videos in. I take my daughter out sometimes, but that is a different kind of riding. Thanks for filling that void for me. Keep it up.

  15. Your jacket looks warm. Cold on the bike, I bet. I always wanted to ride around Japan, but I spent too much time working. The furthest from Tokyo I rode on my XRV750 was Kobe. Nick
