Arrived to tokashiki Island🏝️ just 40 mins high speed ferry from Okinawa! #japanjourney
This time I went to Tokashiki Island for a day trip! The weather forecast as of the day before was sunny ☀️, so we decided to go ahead of schedule in a hurry. I also brought my swimsuit, hoping to be able to snorkel.
However, when we arrived at the island, it was quite cloudy, dreary, and cold, so we changed our plans again and decided to rent an eBike to get around the island. Okinawa was just in the cherry blossom season (Kanhizakura) at the end of January, so we enjoyed the cherry blossoms. We also visited Awaren Beach and had a great time!
It takes about 40 minutes from the main island of Okinawa to Tokashiki Island by high-speed boat and about 70 minutes by ferry. The ferry runs in the morning and evening.
今回は渡嘉敷島まで日帰りで行ってきました！前日の段階での天気予報は晴れ☀️だったので、急遽予定を早めて行くことにしました。シュノーケルできることを期待し、水着も持参しました♪
ただ島に着いたらかなりの曇り空で、どんよりしていて寒かったので、また予定を変更し、eBikeをレンタルして島を巡ることにしました。沖縄はちょうど1月末は桜の季節（寒緋桜）だったので、桜をたのしみました。また阿波連ビーチなども訪れて、さんさくしましたよ！
沖縄本島から渡嘉敷島までは 高速船で約40分、フェリーで約70分です。朝と夕方に運行しています。
