小学生以来ですので、50年ぶりに姫路城に行ってみました。
パート１では、姫路城内と、天守閣、西の丸の内部を紹介します。
2025年3月21日 平日の金曜日の朝一番で行けば、さほど、混雑しないとだろうと考えました。 しかし、思いのほか、外国人観光客、ツアーの観光バスも多く、見学時間は、9:00-17:00です。9:30に入場しましたが、10時過ぎには、天守閣への入場制限が始まりました。ギリギリ、入場制限に引っかからず、天守閣に入ることができました。 さすが、世界文化遺産 国宝 姫路城です。 かすかな記憶で、階段が急な登りであったことを覚えていましたが、大人になり、しかも、建築に興味を持ってからの見学では、ほんと、素晴らしい建築物であることを再認識しました。 撮影しながら、天守閣、西の丸と休憩なしで流れに乗り、見学しましたが、約2時間掛かりました。城内は広いので、時間に余裕を持った計画で、しっかり見学されるのが良いと思います。

I have not been to Himeji Castle since I was in elementary school, so this is my first visit to the castle in 50 years.
In Part 1, I will show you the inside of Himeji Castle, the castle tower, and the Nishinomaru.
March 21, 2025 I thought it would not be so crowded if I went first thing in the morning on a weekday Friday. However, there were unexpectedly many foreign tourists and tour buses, and the tour hours are from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We entered at 9:30 a.m., but by 10:00 a.m., the entrance to the castle tower was restricted. We entered at 9:30, but the entrance to the castle keep started to be restricted after 10:00. We were able to enter the castle keep just in time. As one would expect from a World Heritage Site, Himeji Castle is a national treasure. From my faint memory, I remembered that the stairs were steep, but now that I am an adult and moreover interested in the architecture, I realized again that it is really a wonderful building. While taking pictures, I toured the castle tower and Nishinomaru without taking a break, which took about 2 hours. It took us about 2 hours to visit the castle. The castle is very large, so it would be better to plan your visit well in advance.
