Tsuki no Sato Obasute 姨捨山の棚田

Obasute Rice Terraces are terraced rice fields located in Chikuma City, northern Nagano Prefecture.
At an altitude of 460m~560m, overlooking the Chikuma River, a first-class river, and the basin centered on Nagano City, called Zenkojidaira, there are about 2,000 stepped rice paddies (about 64.3 ha).

It is a 10-minute walk from JR Obasute Station, and when you get off the train, you will have a spectacular view.
It is one of the three largest train windows in Japan, and it is a rare place where the waiting chairs on the station platform are installed in the opposite direction from the tracks so that you can see the view of the terraced rice fields.
