Balkan Detours: Mausoleum Csávossy (Season 02, Episode 01)
After our car broke down on our first road trip to Albania, we embarked on a second attempt, determined to uncover the beauty of the Balkans. We paused in Romania to explore hidden gems along the way before continuing our journey. In this premiere episode of Balkan Detours Season 2, we step into a crumbling world of forgotten grandeur: the remains of the Csávossy Mausoleum. Journey with us deep into the Romanian countryside, where history and unexpected architectural wonders await! Together, we’ll discover a remarkable effort to revive one of the region’s most significant abandoned churches – a place too important to let it be erased by time. #urbex #abandonedplaces #bwturbex

So beautiful!!! I am so happy that you guys have a chance to travel and see all these wonderful things. I can remember a time when where I grew up was very similar in the friendliness of the people and the willingness to help those stranded. You guys have so much perseverance. I love your channel and as always wish I could contribute more. I always let others know what a great job you guys! I need to dig my stickers out so I can stick them places!
Das war interessant und spannend, passt gut auf euch auf
It's heartbeating when you see countries like Paris spend millions to put Nortre' Damn cathedral back together after that fire, but other other other countries look the other way when history starts roting on their buildings.
its good to see this church getting restored, been there in 2016 and it was in a very bad state, and ammount of pigeon pooo was just horryfying 😉
Finally, there is an effort to restore and preserve history, and hands on involvement on the old techniques is good to see.
Great building !! I'm so glad it's being restored. terrific video, great audio and documentation, thanks for the good work
reminds me on how i went to sleep in a castle ruins and found a group of volunteers restoring it. I wonder how it look likes nowadays. Its been 10 yrs ago.
what a nice poeple….
* Till & Marco, Such a shame beautiful structures world wide are left to decay. Nice the students are attempting a mild restoration. Here in Detroit we have many beautiful buildings that are cheaper to replace then to restore. I was just watching vids on there amazing Art Deco apartment buildings built in the late 20's that are still beautiful outside but interiors are trashed. If I was a billionaire I would restore these structures and find a use for them. Keep up the good work and Cheers Gentlemen ! 🍺🤛😎👍
Hi guys I'm always stay alert about your new video upload hareat in channel 😊huge shutout from the 🇵🇭 🇵🇭
I hope the teens do a good job. When you lack experience and knowledge you can destroy more than you can restore. Ignorance of things and limits led to the "Monkey Christ" defacement.
Watching your videos since I. Was little and still watching
Daumen habt ihr, keine Frage! Aber Alter, bitte! Hilux! Landcruiser oder n Wrangler is auch ok. Der Kleine ist nicht für diese Aufgabe gedacht! Das ist echt schon Automisshandlung!😢😂😂
Und Nein! It's more likely to get help in the Lada.. Ja, kann sein, aber Nein! Das ist ne Entschuldigung für Xenophobie 😂😂 .. Aber der wichtigste Punkt ist: Mit den oben genannten Karren bleibt man eigentlich nicht liegen! 😉
Fantastic episode this lads. Really enjoyed this one a lot.
Don't knock the Niva because of it's 'specs'. Still one of the best little FWD's. Guarantee it'll get places most others won't and doesn't have a single computer. Owned one here in tropical north Australia from 1988 until the late-2000's. The road/highway experience is like being in a tank like you said. But the offroad capability is superior.
Well, it is a Lada. It's like the old joke about the guy driving around town in his Lada looking for a junkyard where he can get some hubcaps for it on the cheap. He sees one ahead, pulls in and walks into the office to talk to the fellow behind the counter.
"Well, what can I do for you sir?" the junkyard owner asks.
"I was looking to get four hubcaps for my Lada." the man replied.
The junkyard owner stands silent for several moments, deep in thought.
Then he nods his head, looks up at the man and says "Yes, I think that sounds like a good trade!"
Ba-Dum, Tsssssss….
Yep, I'll just show myself to the door now, you all have a wonderful evening. Lol….
(And yes, I got the joke from exactly where you think I did. heh…)
And by the way, it's absolutely fantastic they're putting the work in to get that place back up to snuff again. That's just incredibly cool of them.
Lovely video such a great journey ahead. Thank you.
Really enjoyed this. Thank you. Amazing.
You guys are great I know my people took good care of you! Puno hvala! 🫶🙏
Everything she said strikes me as well. All over history is being torn down for insta homes, businesses etc. History will soon be just that. Sad reality for the future of the world.
Love your work, many thanks.
Your English is so good. I've been watching since the beginning. I like subtitles but your English is impressive. Always enjoy your videos. Storytelling, narration, edit. Beautiful ❤

What an inspiring episode!
This is more than an urbex channel. Time and time again you're showing off parts of the world, groups of people and cultures that would otherwise have been ignored and forgotten. What a wonderful video :).
The book looks great, lots of interesting photos. Any plans to print an English translation?
Beautiful video..some day you need to visit the Island of Sicily.
So special to witness their effort. Heart-warming.
Once those props are gone, the memories are gone with the winds, too. Then people with no memories are movable corpse.
Nice video, thank you for enlightening us on this project. I hope they can save the building for future generations.
Beautifully done yet again, the only channel i watch in full i love the documentary style videos.. keep up the good work cant wait to see Italy season 5
