Spring Setsubun festival at Yasaka Shrine, Kyoto, Japan. Yasaka Shrine (八坂神社, Yasaka-jinja), once called Gion Shrine (祇園神社, Gion-jinja), is a Shinto shrine in the Gion District of Kyoto, Japan.
Setsubun (節分) is the day before the beginning of spring in the old calendar in Japan. The name literally means ‘seasonal division’, referring to the day just before the first day of spring in the traditional calendar, known as Setsubun; though previously referring to a wider range of possible dates, Setsubun is now typically held on February 3 (in 2021 it was on 2nd February), with the day after – the first day of spring in the old calendar – known as Risshun (立春).

* Ehōmaki is a special makizushi (sushi roll) eaten on Setsubun.
The Japanese word for bean, 豆, is pronounced mame, which can be written as ‘devil’s eye’ (魔目), and some believe that the pronunciation is similar to that of mametsu (魔滅), meaning ‘to destroy the devil’, which is why people began throwing beans during Setsubun.

節分祭では、邪気を払い、1年の無病息災を願う豆まきや恵方巻、イワシなどの食べ物を食べる風習があります。
節分祭是立春節慶，期間有拋豆子、吃惠方卷、沙丁魚等食物的習俗，以辟邪祈求一年平安。

Le festival setsubun marque le début de la fête du printemps, au cours de laquelle on lance des haricots, on mange des rouleaux de sushi, des sardines et on danse pour repousser les démons.
El festival setsubun es el comienzo del festival de primavera, durante el cual se lanzan frijoles, se comen rollos de sushi, sardinas y se baila para repeler a los demonios.

[回鄉 – 節分祭舞踊奉納]
那是個立春日子,
節分祭[1]每年一次獨一無二,
拿住智能手機[2],
坐上了巴士趕往神寺。
人生百歲三分已過二[3],
一期一會拍攝機會不知仍有多少次。
平安京[4]保存千年唐朝建築吳服[5]華衣,
一懸性命[6]捕捉美景麗姿。
擠入参拝人叢,右邊有兩名大和女子,
胸前包包裡有一隻二才[7]犬兒,かわい[8]。
左邊女士見我說日語流利,於是建議我什麼東西。
我不明所以,我只能回覆私は学生です[9]。
下秒她的身影Disappear。
舞樂開始,錦繡麗衣,
翻弄金黃扇子,雪膚橫眉千夫視。
姊妹牽手春暖賞花枝,三味線弦外なの意味[10] ?
倣佛穿越時空回到古代日子。
演末齊來撒豆子,搶豆子,望福來疫除,
一年間平穏無事ください[11]。
