“When I think of heroes, these two are the first that come to mind. A man who sacrificed his limbs for our country and a women who pledged her life to take care of this man, their home and their family. They set an example of what it means to love unconditionally, live fully and to triumph through all of life’s obstacles. They did all this by simply loving one another for 62 years of marriage. I’m undoubtedly honored and most importantly blessed to call these two my grandparents. This picture was taken 42 years ago, but today (and every day) I honor them as my heroes.”
