Walk in Peaceful Town in Japan – Nagahama, Ehime – The town with the old drawbridge【4K】

I took this video on Monday, August 26, 2024.

This town, Nagahama, is in the western part of Ehime Prefecture, Japan.
Spread out along the estuary, the town prospered as a collection point for wax and lumber brought down the river.
For this reason, Nagahama Ohashi Bridge, which was built on the outskirts of the town in 1935, is a retractable bridge so that large cargo ships can pass through.
This bridge is the oldest active movable bridge in Japan and is designated as a National Important Cultural Property.
