Inside Nintendo Museum Kyoto – New Attraction Tour in Uji 任天堂 博物館 京都 宇治市 Sightseeing in Japan
Today I am very excited to visit the new Nintendo Museum in Uji, Kyoto prefecture.
Nintendo Museum opened in October 2024, and tickets are in high demand, but I managed to finally get in and look around.
In today’s video I will show you how to get to the museum, as well as inside the interactive exhibits, restaurant and gift shop. Taking videos and photos inside the main museum exhibit, but I’ll tell you all about that too.
Tickets are limited each day to avoid overcrowding, and are currently released in a ticket lottery on the museum’s official website. There is high demand, so booking ahead is mandatory – when I made this video in early December, they were accepting applications for the March 2025 ticket lottery, so definitely check the website at least 3 calendar months before your planned visit.

The first Nintendo console I owned was Super Nintendo (Which is currently on my TV stand!). I did play an NES at a friend's house, of course, Super Mario was the first game. What SNES games did you play when it first came out? I'm sure it would have been in my living room! 😂
