   Yes! Futomaki and sabazushi is the taste of home to me, my Obachan served on holidays. The sabazushi takes 2 days and pickles in futomaki plus takana tsukemono side dish take like a week to cure just right, so it's special to me. All that effort makes very special meal😍🥰😍🥰😍🥰

   Wow. Again the video came out just after I left Japan. I spent 4 days in Kyoto and had a great time and even had a few of the items here in your video. But I would have probably had even more great food if I had seen this. 😢❤😊😊
   As always great video guys and can't wait to go back and try these other places.

   i had the cured mackerel sushi back in kyoto 10 years ago and i still fondly remember the taste.. it is delicious

   I honestly braced myself for some common cliché foods (because all too often a "must try" list is full of those) but I'm really pleasantly surprised about the special local dishes I'd not run into before 😀 Would love to try the sushi and the unagi in this form, and those goopy soups are also something I thought only existed in some Chinese cooking.

    We ate at Okaru last night and had Cheese Katsu Curry Udon! Absolutely worth the trip and there was no queue. Definitely a reasonably priced hidden gem!

    the shizuya bread roll reminded me of a soup place in my city in Canada, they sell these amazing kaiser rolls, my city isn't food centric so i take what i can get.
