Walk in Japanese Town – Sadamitsu, Tokushima #shorts

I took this video on Monday, December 11, 2023.

This town, Sadamitsu, is in the central part of Tokushima Prefecture, Japan.
Tobacco cultivation flourished in the old days, and the tobacco industry prospered about 120 years ago.
Today, many of the merchant houses from those days remain in beautiful condition.
These buildings have firewalls called “udatsu” on their roofs, and the “udatsu” lining the streets create a beautiful townscape.
