Iwakuni Castle

After spending the morning in Yonago (Tottori Prefecture) and Yasugi (Shimane Prefecture) I am ready to take on my third and final prefecture of the day (Yamaguchi) in the city of Iwakuni. I arrive to the city just in time to make the final castle tour of the day, so I speed my way through Kikko Park and up the ropeway to the top of Mt. Shiroyama. I follow the course set by the adventure lab, right up to the front door of Iwakuni Castle, where I am treated to my own private tour of the reconstructed keep. Afterward, I make my way over to Hiroshima to link up for a delicious okonomiyaki dinner together to bring the day to an end. A great way to polish all but one off the remaining prefectures needed to complete the island of Honshu – Come along and join us for the fun!
