【駿府城公園】奇妙で個性的な石像、銅像、胸像だらけ！徳川家康晩年の地 Strange and unique statues and busts everywhere!Sunpu Castle Park
静岡県静岡市葵区の駿府城公園。
1585年、徳川家康により築城し直されました駿府城。1635年の出火で天守や御殿が消失してしまいます。
この公園には駿府城や本丸堀、家康公手植のミカンなど城や家康に関する様々なものがあります。特に目につくのが銅像など。もちろん徳川家康の銅像が建てられていますが他にも多くの銅像、胸像、芸術作品が並んでいます。十返舎一九の「東海道中膝栗毛」に登場する弥次喜多銅像。マロニエ公園の一角には元市長の胸像。戦争犠牲者追悼碑の「とこしえ」と題された母子像の碑。わさび漬けの石像。細谷泰茲作の指人形。公園ですがちょっとした美術館や博物館気分を味わえます。

Sunpu Castle Park in Aoi Ku, Shizuoka City, Shizuoka Prefecture.
Sunpu Castle was rebuilt by Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1585, but the castle keep and palace were destroyed by fire in 1635.
In this park, there are various items related to the castle and Ieyasu, such as Sunpu Castle, the Honmaru moat, and tangerines planted by Ieyasu. Especially striking are the bronze statues of Tokugawa Ieyasu. Of course, there is a statue of Tokugawa Ieyasu, but there are also many other statues, busts, and works of art. A bronze statue of Yajikita, who appears in “Tokaido Chu Hizakurige” by Ikku Jippensha. A bust of the former mayor stands in a corner of Marronnier Park. A monument of a mother and child titled “Tokoshie” at the Memorial to the Victims of War. A stone statue of a man pickled in wasabi (Japanese horseradish). A finger puppet by Yasuteru Hosoya. You will feel a bit like in a museum.
