Rainy Walk with Alley Cats in Small Harbor Village | Yura, Japan 4K

I have driven by the small quiet village of Yura, on the southeastern coast of Awaji Island, a few times and it always looked interesting but I hadn’t stopped to walk through until this rainy day. It is a fishing village with two harbors with small fishing boats and a long strip of houses wedged between the water and the hills. A few of the narrow streets are suitable for cars, but for the most part the old houses are connected with a maze of walking alleys. There were also a lot of cats, some were hidden, some out in the open. Some a bit shy, some friendly. Overall it was an unexpected but nice walk in the rain, I hope you enjoy the rainy look into this interesting little village.

  1. I love seeing the forests, villages, scenic areas far away from the hustle and bustle of the cities. So peaceful and quiet 🥰 Thank you for making beautiful videos!

  2. Thank you so much for the videos during rain, for some reason that type of content seems to be very rare from Japan despite many non-rain walk videos. Please make more if you can. Watching from New Zealand.

  4. Ambient Exploration: So happy for me! This treadmill walk completed with you all the way to 63 minutes (including ads)! Along the way, loved seeing all the cats, the litter-free alleyways and streets, no satellite dishes adorning all the more densely populated housing than I've seen before (cable must be underground?), the seascape, water locks, no seeing graffiti on the walls, AND unlike my street, where most of our neighborhood have outside monitoring cameras facing the street, like we do. I really enjoyed this old fishing village in Yura, Japan! You did all the walking and excellent filming and we all benefit! Many thanks! Margie

  5. I would be lost in the maze of alleys… I guess the rain has kept most people inside but the cats, unless they were strays, shouldn't be outside. I like the view of the harbor and the small fishing boats from the bridge. It was an interesting exploration. Thank you.

  6. Япония прекрасна. Привет из Татарстана. Татары уважают Японцев.
