  3. ❤❤❤ive been a fan for ages but this Bearish one is superb well done i will watch this again 😊😊😊

  4. Great video and fantastic to that more has been added since I visited 15 years ago. Good to know that it takes 2 days to do a full visit so we'll take that into account when we plan our holiday to that part of the world.

  5. Oh this was brilliant. Loved every second. All that wonderful history. Loved the buses and trams. Was so jealous I wasn’t there. Thank you so much. Please take care

  6. Wonderful video of a beautiful and fascinating old town. Thanks for wearing down the shoe leather! that pint at the end of the day must have tasted like nectar.

  7. I have seen many videos and documentaries on beamish. This has to be one of the best. I really enjoyed your commentary.

  8. 13:15 St Helen's Church was in the cemetary directly behind my house (Eston Cemetary). It was badly vandalised, so in 1998 it was dismantled brick by brick and restored at Beamish. Proud our little church from an unknown part of the UK made it to one of the best known museums 👌

  9. Your channel is super duper well done. You have the nicest voice which makes these videos a real pleasure to just sit and drink it all in. Lovely and relaxed and chock full of interesting commentary. Such a treat ~~ THANK YOU !!!!

  10. One of your most interesting videos so far. What an amazing, historical living museum. So good to see the atmosphere is not destroyed by modern vehicles parked in front of these wonderful old buildings.

  11. Thank you very much for this brilliant video. We have visited Beamish Museum before but that was many years ago. We will be going back to visit the 1950's development. We have watched a fair number of your entertaining and informative videos . Keep up the good work.

  12. I wish I had seen your video before I visited Beamish this summer. I remarkable place indeed.

  13. Well… Ive been watching you two for some time now but I have to say this has been my favourite one! What an amazing place and what foresight to have all these things saved and have history bought to life and be able to walk through it as if you were back in time. Thank you so much for taking the time to show it to us. As always its a delight to travel round with you. I hope when the next section opens you will come back and show us that as well. ❤ cheers Cheryl

  14. I enjoy your videos so much! Thank you so much for sharing! I hope we can visit many of these locations one day.

  15. What a very Interesting place to visit, I like that the entry pass lasts for 12 months, Clearly to much to see and do in one day. Thanks as always for all the history you provide in your videos, I really enjoy listening and learning from all the information you provide.

  16. How is it possible I have never heard of this place before?! Fascinating stuff, thank you so much!

  17. What a great film gents, it's been 15 years or so since we last visited and it looks like there's quite a few additions, so as we're back in Seahouses in September next year we're thinking a visit up the way up and even coming home are in order.

  18. Astonishing how the buildings are rebuilt! What skills that must take. Thanks for all the work that goes into these museums.

  19. I'm Scottish. I have been to Beamish many times over the years. My Nana lived nearby. I have a photograph of myself and my parents in the old fashioned costumes. I loved the trams, steam train, the drift mine and seeing the pit ponies. My mum worked beside a colleague who's father-in-law's cottage was rebuilt brick by brick & moved to Beamish. They moved the whole street. They were miners. It's amazing seeing how much it has continued to expand over the years. I can't wait to revisit.

  20. Well done, I enjoyed this so much! This is literally like a living time capsule. I live in the US and truly hope to make it here someday. Keep up the good work!

  21. One of my favorite shows. Beamish looks like a real find. Thank you for sharing 😁

  22. During visits to Britain, I have been to Beamish and must say it is one of my most favourite museums. It is very well done. Although mentions of Blist Hill and the Black Country museum must be made as well although I think Beamish you can really feel you’ve escaped the modern world.

  23. A quick question: how live is the museum? Do people actually live in all these villages or is it all just museum scenery? 😊

  24. Sorry! My english language not good and my comments will be latvian language.
Esmu bijusi Beamish museum 7 reizes, visos gadalaikos!
    Paldies!

  25. The beautiful time were people had respect & decency for other people & were children actually played outside with no worries .great video & place 👍

  26. Thank you Simon and Will for the wonderful, fascinating visit to Beamish.I love visiting these historic time capuscles. I recently visited the Gold mining town Sovereign Hill,Ballarat in Australia and enjoyed the historical period. Will visit on next trip to the UK.

  27. I loved this video! I'm a history buff and especially like to learn about the details of everyday life in the past. So much history here! I live halfway around the world in the Pacific Northwest, a beautiful area, but the oldest cities and towns here are only about 150 years olf, at the most.

  28. Wow! Thank you so much! My husband and I really enjoyed this. We love all your videos. We live in Australia (my hubby is Australian) and I'm English. I was a Ten Pound Pom, like my parents and sister…we came to Oz in 1964. I went back in 2018 for the first time. Watching your excellent videos helps me connect to my homeland. Many thanks. 😍❤🙏🏻

  29. Anyone who hasn't visited for a few years will be shocked at all the new additions. All respect to the museum for constantly re-investing and adding to the magic. I'm fortunate enough to live just around the corner – every other week I buy cakes from the old-fashioned cake shop! Heaven!
