It is located in Myoko City, Niigata Prefecture.
This is the mountain castle where Kagekatsu Uesugi cornered Kagetora Uesugi and forced Kagetora to commit suicide during the Otate Rebellion (1579) following the death of Uesugi Kenshin.
Originally, it was one of the base mountain castles of the Uesugi side in preparation for the movement of Takeda Shingen, who was expanding his influence into northern Shinano through the Battle of Kawanakajima.
This is a video of a 48-year-old bachelor who silently visited the castle by himself.
