✋Hello! Today we will go to a viewpoint on Omi Island in Japan. It is a protected area for its scenic beauty. Thanks to its coastline with steep cliffs and monolithic rocks jutting out of the sea, the place is known as the “Maritime Alps”.

Omi Island (Omijima) is located in Yamaguchi Prefecture of Japan and is part of the Kita-Nagato Kaigan Quasi-National Park. The island has a circumference of approximately 40 kilometers and can be reached by a bridge from the city of Nagato. The rocks on Omijima Island have impressive shapes and are the result of erosion, with some of them reaching around 40 meters in height. There are also caves that can be seen from a tour boat. Due to the high transparency of sea water, colorful tropical fish living in caves and interesting formations in the water, this coast is also known as a diving site. On the northern shore of the island there is a path called the “Memorial Road”, with viewpoints from which you can admire the coastline, beaches and characteristic rocks in the Sea of Japan.
