Beautiful place Hualien but prone to earthquakes. Be careful, have a great time, stay safe.
How about a Kaohsiung video guide
Eva is indeed a good airline
Enjoy your holidays 😁😁😁
Why u didn't you find a wife there? 😅
Been to Hualien once and could not forget Taroko breathtaking views. Right now, I very much would like to take my family to Hualien to soak in the taiwanese warm hospitality, delectable dishes & gorgeous nature like the black sand beach!
I've been a few times to taiwan a few times but never to hualien. Your video has made me want to visit Hualien now. I would want to visit Hualien, Taiwan to experience its stunning natural beauty, including Taroko Gorge and the picturesque coastline. I’m also eager to immerse myself in the local culture, enjoy delicious Taiwanese cuisine, and explore the unique blend of traditional and modern attractions. Hualien offers a serene escape with vibrant cultural experiences, making it the perfect destination for both relaxation and adventure
The last time when I was in Hua Lien, it was in April 2024, and it was almost my last trip.
Thank god we made it back safely
So happy for you that you are having a fantastic time there. You chose your escape destination well! Thanks for all the recommendations, they gave me a solid list for our family trip to Taiwan. Cheers!
Is the visit to Hualien especially the Taroko Gorge before that big earthquake a few months back????
Yes one of my favourite destinations. Love the mountains , rivers, sea and the local foods. Surprised you didn't try the moochi in Hualien
I want to visit Hualien after seeing what you have shown us – to experience the epic and vibrant atmosphere plus recharging energy. Thank you very much…
I was in Hualian last year in July. My full day private car Tarogo tour was canceled by my guide/driver because of the Typhoon and was declared unsafe to venture into Tarogo. What a disappointment for us as I knew it would be beautiful. Instead our guide drove us around Hualian and all the attractions in the vicinity. I vow to return to the gorge mountains soon. But I was so glad that this year I visited 九寨沟 Jiuzaigou and 黄龙 in Sichuan China and I swear it’s even much more beautiful than Tarogo Gorge which is more apt as a hiking venue. 😅
I missed hualian so much good food and environment. The building and road is was so unique and people were so friendly. The best dessert is mochi and till now I miss the mochi taste can’t get other place in Taiwan
Omg I watched this on my TV and I came on my phone to see if this was filmed before or after the earthquake. I am going to Taiwan in Sept and I want to visit Hualien because it looks SO BEAUTIFUL and scenic, especially Taroko Gorge!
I was going to change my itinerary because of your video and plus I thought this is after the earthquake 🥲 I still would love to visit Hualien one day for its stunning scenery and amazing food ❤
気分転換に旅行して、お土産があげられたら気分もあげあげ!
Let me explore this culinary spree,
Hualien’s food is the key to my glee.
With each tasty bite, my heart will lift,
And I’ll cherish forever this wonderful gift.
Awww man
Your feet stink !
I actually started watching your videos last week when I was in Singapore. (The internet knows where you are!!!!)
I was born in Taiwan but grew up and live in Thailand. I went back to Taroko Gorge in Taiwan in November 2023 to run my very first full marathon. It was my first time visiting there and I am really glad I get to experience the magnificent masterpiece of the nature’s doing running through the gorge. The earthquake in April left lots of damage behind such beautiful place and it was quite painful when I learned about it on the news.
Hualien is a beautiful place, the people there were so nice to me and my family. Taroko Gorge and Hualien will always have a special place in my memory. Hualien have a tough journey ahead with their road to recovery. And I sincerely wish they will come through with the strength of their beautiful hearts. The least I can do to contribute to their recovery journey is to go back there and experience its beauty and hospitality whenever I get the opportunity again.
官財板once can find in Singapore .
I feel so rejuvenated just watching your video. Agree that Taiwan has many beautiful and scenic places to visit. Been there once like 8 years ago for about 10 days. Will go later this year or sometime next year. Thank you for including such detailed information of Hualian. Will definitely follow your trail when I visit Hualian.
Been to Taiwan many times but never the East Coast. Your Hualien video inspires me to bring my elderly parents there, especially knowing that Taroko Gorge is walking friendly even for wheelchairs 😊 Great content!
Totally agree that the biggest draw of taiwan is really its people and nature! I'm singaporean and my first visit to Taiwan was part of a cycling school trip when I was 17! We cycled through all the mountains and the beautiful simple nature really blew my mind away. Cycling in the midst of nature also gave me alot of time to pause and reflect and cherish the present. And the people there are so so nice!! I remember struggling up on those mountainous inclines on the bike, and kids from passing cars would wind down the windows and say "加油‘ to us! It may seem like a small gesture but it really gives us that additional boost when we're physically and mentally tired haha. I haven't been to hualien in that trip though, and I definitely would love to go there (and other parts of taiwan) again!
@Ghib
Haha epic, last week I just e-mailed you for this. And yep, TW is ok but TW also got its dark side, the beggars, if look East Asian but wearing black tshirt and black pants they will think is their "crazy people", but once know foreigner treat as ok again. That is the dark side but also has its good.
Singapore actually is very nice, people not judgemental, no race problem, the only problem is the rat race problem, unfortunately this mental mode has its pacing set by the current government with the highest top 1000 CEO salaries, the expensive housing, car and all, it has become a rat race.
Hope that Ghib Ojisan next time become Singaporean, perhaps make a party, make that correction, change away, reduce away the rat race but more tech so more productivity but yet not so rat race, then we have it all good in SG. Our SG people actually are also very nice, not judgemental.
TW is very nice but the moment their own people fall out their net, their public will treat entirely different
I also hope to learn nihongo some day
hi i feel you. Singaporeans (me included) are always on the go, looking for more ways to make more money, not enjoying the moment. glad u know how to stop and enjoy the moment instead of doing the rat race.
I want to go to hualien to visit the hiking trail you showed. It is so beautiful!
I know how you feel. Living in Singapore feels like you're speedrunning life without even having enough time for your interests, hobbies, or family. I envy you for chasing your dreams
So inspired by you to also go to Hualien to take a break like that given 15 years of working none stop. Can fully relate why you would do this.
My family and I have never been to Hualien. Watching your video showing many tasty dishes and breathtaking views makes me want to go for our next trip! 😊
You are just going for a short trip… not leaving for good. Haha.
Having born and lived in Singapore for the past 40 years, I agree with you that Singapore is always fast moving. From young we're chasing education, working for money… with no feel of taking a proper break as long I'm in Singapore. It is a country with non-stop money generating system.
My choice of country for retirement will absolutely not be in Singapore.
Wow! 😍😍😍
I love Ghib he is funny and humble and deserves all the success that he has. Just one sad observation, will Tokyo or Japan embrace a Singaporean guy reviewing Japanese food in Tokyo? My gut tells me No 😢
