Can’t blame the tourist. We went to Gion just for the sake of catching a glimpse of geisha girls.
Nowadays, every thing are commercialised with pay for experience basis ☹️

Guess how you avoid it? Just act like a normal person.
It's literally just a tiny street in gyon. There is pretty much nothing there. No way people go there just to take photos. Most likely they just stumble accidentally in there.
Also I've been to gyon and it's pretty much women who behave terrible… Like chasing women in kimono and doing creepshots from behind, nice
