Im glad I recently watched that cute tv series on Netflix about the Maiko, the last episode made me cry when the girl became a Maiko, she was so beautiful and her father came to see her 😊
素敵!
Magnifique vraiment le travail de ses femmes est vraiment incroyable et font vivre une tradition qui ce perd malheureusement respect mesdames je valide ❤
Beautiful performance. pretty Geishas. Remind me Novel, Memories of Geisha.
Thanks for the video.❤
I really enjoyed this experience. I never knew there were more traditional games in Japan than jankenpon… Also, Saki is the prettiest geiko out of the three, lol… ❤
I am new youtuber and learning a lot from you, can you tell me what kind of camera you are using?
They look beautiful and i like the makeup and the clothing, i hope this tradition continue in japan ❤
美しい😊
I lived in Nagoya for three years , loved your video .
Better than Raygun
It is good I found your channel, I hope someday in my life I'll visit them
One interesting thing about historical figures like the Tokugawa shoguns is that, because it wasn't common to record the readings of names in hiragana yet, the way we read their names today is somewhat of an educated guess on the part of historians. Even today the Japanese government is still trying to get everyone to record a reading for their children's names at birth.
Somday I'll go to Japan there's so many things I really want to see so bad and I've been learning so many Japanese art culture in college and I just hope I'll go Japan someday.
I had to look this up so where's a fun fact for y'all: 芸子(geiko) is the western Japanese dialect variant of 芸者(geisha). the former means "woman of talent/woman of art" whereas the latter means "artisan/person of art". This reflects the origins of the geisha in male performing artists who were later replaced by the female performers who came to be identified with the profession. I suppose this means geisha performances began with the new court in Tokyo and only later made their way back west.

They're lovely. Definitely different from all the shows I've seen exhibiting the ways and traditions of the Kyoto geiko and maiko. But beautiful all the same. It's like different flavors of ice cream, but all are wonderful and inspiring.
This a truly beautiful video and a masterpiece because it is very rare to document an Keiko and Geiko performance. The beauty, makeup and elegance plus kimono too.
I remember I have been there before an exchange international Japanese student with my host family in 2013. It was an unforgettable experience. Thank you so much for this rare opportunity on YouTube and rest of the world who want explore Japan. This makes me feel so happy 🙂❤🇦🇺🇯🇵
