「元滝伏流水」-８月　光芒　秋田県にかほ市

日本海の渚からそびえ立つ鳥海山（2.236m）には、海からの湿った空気が山肌を吹きあげ、
多い年は年間12000ミリ以上の雨や雪を降らせます。
その鳥海山に染み込んだ水が80年とも言われる長い歳月をかけ
湧き出していると言われているのが、今回ご紹介する「元滝伏流水」です。

その数量はなんと、一日約5万トン。
想像ができない量ですが、年間を通じて水量が安定していることから、
地域の生活用水として今でも利用されている大切な水源でもあります。

幅約30ｍ、高さ約5mの岩肌一帯から一年中枯れることのない水は、
幾筋の線となって流れ落ちて、豊かな苔を育み、
苔岩にはじけ飛んで美しいしずくの軌跡を描き、観光客はもとより、
多くのカメラ愛好家を虜にする美景を生みだしています。

今回は、第二弾です。

季節は真夏の8月。
下界はうだるような暑さですが、ここだけは涼しい別世界。
水温は一年を通じてほぼ10度。
冷たい湧水と周囲の気温との温度差によって滝の周りに霧が生じ、
苔に覆われた岩の表面が霧の中に浮かんだような、幻想的な景観を作り出してくれます。

この日は運良く、ドラマチックな光芒も見ることができました。
渓谷に差し込む光の中で舞い踊るように動く水の粒子たち・・・
まるで意思を持った生き物のようにも見え、
旋律を奏でるミュージシャンのようにも見えてくるのでした。

編集段階でフォトリウムのオリジナル曲を挿入していただきましたが、
曲との相乗効果で、より動きを感じられる光芒の映像となりました。

山形県遊佐町で鳥海山の伏流水が湧き出ている海岸をフォトリウムで以前ご紹介しました。
先日の秋田、山形の豪雨災害で被災されたエリアでもあります。
水は私たちを潤してくれる一方、
時には猛威となって襲ってくる時もあります。
まさに「諸刃の剣」。そんなことを考え、感じながら、

It is sweltering hot down below, but here it is a different world of coolness.
The water temperature is almost 10 degrees throughout the year.
The temperature difference between the cool spring water and the surrounding temperature creates a mist around the falls,

On this day, we were lucky enough to also see a dramatic glow.
Water particles dancing in the light shining into the canyon…
They looked as if they were living creatures with a will of their own,
They looked like musicians playing a melody.

We had Photolum’s original music inserted in the editing stage,
The synergistic effect of the music made the glowing image more moving.

We have previously introduced in our photolithorium a beach in Yusa-machi, Yamagata Prefecture, where Chokaisan subterranean water is gushing out.

This is also the area that was affected by the recent torrential rain disaster in Akita and Yamagata.
While water moistens us, it also sometimes comes as a fury,
but sometimes it can also come at us with a fury.
It is a double-edged sword. Thinking and feeling this way,
I have been photographing this series of “Water Rin-ne” with these thoughts and feelings in mind.
