Join us on a summer stroll through the rapidly redeveloping Umeda area in Osaka, where old meets new. In this one-hour video, we pass by some of the latest attractions, including “KITTE Osaka” and “Barchica 03,” which I introduced in my previous videos. We also catch a glimpse of the highly anticipated “Grand Green Osaka,” set to open on September 6, 2024. Despite the intense summer heat causing my camera to overheat and momentarily stop recording, I captured the ongoing transformation of this vibrant district. Thank you so much for this video! I visited Japan last year, and I stayed on Umeda during my visit to Osaka. The first part of the video where you walk towards the station is the same exact route I took every day! It was a great feeling watching those streets and buildings again. It made me feel like I was there again!

Two places where I really got the sense of heat in this tour de force of walking essentially around the block: North Gate plaza and entrance/exit of Hankyu depart. store! no one wanted to stand outside! Take care, 🍧

東京・大阪と大都市圏に観光に来る外国人が口を揃えて「座る場所がない」と言うのはなんとかしてあげられないのだろうか。
街としては人の流れを停滞させないために意図的にやってるんだろうけど荷物抱えた子供連れの観光客を見るたびに申し訳の
ない気持ちになってしまう。

I remember living in Osaka awhile ago. Osaka Umeda still is vibrant transit hub, but everything looks so sleek and modern: Umeda Ave., Osaka Station, Hankyu Department Store, they look familiar, but the new towers, hotels, shopping centers, restaurants, pedestrian overpasses, so much has changed! Nostalgic and wonderful videolog! Thank You!
