「元滝伏流水」-６月 新緑 秋田県にかほ市
日本海の渚からそびえ立つ鳥海山（2.236m）には、海からの湿った空気が山肌を吹きあげ、
多い年は年間12000ミリ以上の雨や雪を降らせます。
その鳥海山に染み込んだ水が80年とも言われる長い歳月をかけ
湧き出していると言われているのが、今回ご紹介する「元滝伏流水」です。
その数量はなんと、一日約5万トン。
想像ができない量ですが、年間を通じて水量が安定していることから、
地域の生活用水として今でも利用されている大切な水源でもあります。
幅約30ｍ、高さ約5mの岩肌一帯から一年中枯れることのない水は、
幾筋の線となって流れ落ちて、豊かな苔を育み、
苔岩にはじけ飛んで美しいしずくの軌跡を描き、
観光客はもとより、多くのカメラ愛好家を虜にする美景を生みだしています。
秋田県在住カメラマンとして、この素晴らしさを一回ではご紹介しきれない・・・ということで、編集者にお願いして今回は二部作でご紹介させていただくこととしました。
梅雨時の6月下旬の季節、一年の中で苔が最も美しい季節です。
激しい集中豪雨によって、一晩で苔がはがされてしまい、
その美しさが失われてしまう年が増えてきたと感じている昨今です。
今回訪れた時も、昨年の集中豪雨の影響で、まだまだ苔は再生途中。
それでもその美しさは格別でした。
まずは、この時期の苔むした静かな渓谷美、

山形県遊佐町で鳥海山の伏流水が湧き出ている海岸を以前ご紹介しました。
先日の秋田、山形の豪雨災害で被災されたエリアでもあります。
水は私たちを潤してくれる一方、時には猛威となって襲ってくる時もあります。
まさに「諸刃の剣」。そんなことを考え、感じながら、
この一連の「水の輪廻」シリーズを撮り続けています。

Rising from the shores of the Sea of Japan, Mt. Chokai (2.236m), moist air from the sea blows up the mountain’s surface,
Chokai (2.236 m), which rises from the shores of the Sea of Japan, and in most years, it rains and snows more than 12,000 mm per year.
It is said that the water seeping into Mt.
Mototaki Fusuryusui, which we will introduce here, is said to have been gushing out over a period of 80 years.
The volume of this water is approximately 50,000 tons per day.
This is an unimaginable amount, but the water is stable throughout the year,
It is also an important water source that is still used as water for daily life in the region.
The water, which never dries up all year round, comes from a rock face approximately 30 meters wide and 5 meters high,
The water flows down as many lines and nurtures abundant moss,
The water bursts onto the moss rock and creates a beautiful trail of water drops,
The beautiful scenery captivates not only tourists but also many camera enthusiasts.
As a photographer living in Akita Prefecture, I felt that it would be impossible to introduce this splendor in just one installment, so I asked my editor to prepare a two-part series for this issue.
Late June, during the rainy season, is the most beautiful time of the year for moss.
Heavy torrential rains can strip away the moss overnight, and its beauty is lost,
I have been feeling that more and more years have passed since the last year’s torrential downpour, and the beauty of the moss has been lost.
When we visited this time, the moss was still in the process of regrowing due to last year’s torrential rains.
Even so, its beauty was exceptional.
First of all, the quiet beauty of the moss-covered valley at this time of the year,
And please take a look at the beauty of the diverse water that captures the greenery.

We have previously introduced in the Photolithorium a beach in Yusa Town, Yamagata Prefecture, where water from the Chokai Mountains gushes out.
This area was also affected by the recent torrential rain disaster in Akita and Yamagata.
While water can be a source of great comfort to us, it can also be a source of fury.
It is truly a “double-edged sword. I am thinking and feeling about this,
I have been photographing this series of “Water Rin-ne” with these thoughts and feelings in mind.
