I Did NOT Expect this to Happen in Jakarta 🇮🇩

The third and final video in Indonesia’s Captial, Jakarta. An eventful day, which found us on a mission to find a bottle of Bintang.

The day starts off very loosely, three lads with no plan. We’re in a huge city but we can’t think of anything to do during the day time?! This found us taking the Jakarta MRT to our first destination, a golf driving range which was pretty impressive.

Following that, we went somewhere to get a massage. We decided against that plan because two out of the three of us would have had to me massaged by a male, which none of us were keen on…

This is when the day’s mission really got underway. We walked into a couple of fancy day bars, where they gave us the run around for 20 minutes and still didn’t bring us a beer. It seemed we were hard to please, but all we wanted and NEEDED was a bottle of Bintang.

We eventually found a bar with a lovely, sunset view which served cold beer and we couldn’t have been more elated. In good spirits, we finished off our time in Jakarta with a trip to a sky bar, which had a fantastic jazz band.

That wraps up our time in Indonesia’s Capital city, now off to Lombok to climb Mount Rinjani!

  1. You should go to PIK 2, so many beach clubs there. Or SCBD with the H Club SCBD (the biggest club in Asia), and many clubs like W Superclub which have so many lightings. Or going to the mountains in Jakarta. You just don’t know the spots

  2. why you said JAKARTA that's not sound like a British.. why don't you just say JEKO 'AH that's more like it 😂

  3. Wrong place, hard to find bintang beer in the fancy restaurants in Jakarta, since everybody recognise that bintang is cheap beer here, they need to make good business.

  4. In senayan park you can get beer or others at Lucy in the Sky, so sorry for what you been through. Thankyou for visiting indonesia

  5. It's so embarrassing that 20 minutes no drink comes out. 🍻 I'll never convert to Islam unlike 44 million Sunda people convert to Islam, I'am still secular with my old Sunda religion and stand with my king Sunda. Cheers..🍻🍻

  6. Jakarta is a skyscrapers city,,, it has over 160 skyscrapers,, compared to London that only has around 35 skyscrapers……there are only 15 city that can be called as skyscrapers city on this earth cs they have at least 100 skyscrapers…… skyscrapers mean a building that is 150M or at least 492ft,,,,,, for example Dubai, New york, Chicago, Kuala lumpur, Bangkok, Jakarta, Chongqing, Hongkong, Tokyo etc so yea not many cities that can be called as skyscrapers city on this earth only around 15 city and 8 cities are from China….btw of the bad sevice its actually common,, sometimes you'll find things lk that so youd better find the most common restaurant instead lk in more crowded area bt not always tho again its just your bad luck

  7. The thing is Bintang is the cheapest beer in here cause it's local, so you have to go to the cheapest bar in town, some fancy bar sell it but mostly they sell only expensive one.

  8. well thats what the government is doing about the transportation, we literally on the program for connecting those public transportations and you know, it takes time. a decade ago, indonesia’s transportation and infrastructure were waaaay worse. we will see a better version of it in the future

  9. 80% jakartans and java island are mostly Moslem..they not allowed to have an alcoholic drink not like in Bali ..so it's kind hard to get alcoholic or beer here..sorry for that

  10. một đất nước đáng sợ vì những con người hoang dã và tàn ác, hãy nhìn họ tàn bạo như thế nào trong bóng đá và đừng quên vụ thảm sát người Trung Quốc ở Jakarta năm 1998.

  11. Indonesia is the largest Muslim country, so if you’re looking for beers, alcoholic drinks, or a vibrant nightlife, it might be a bit tricky. You’ll face similar challenges throughout the country, and you might even get some negative reactions, even in a big city like Jakarta (except in Bali).

Maybe you should adjust your plans for your Indo trip a bit and focus more on experiencing the culture, the food, and the people.

  12. Not all bars or cafes sell alcoholic drinks unless you go to certain areas in Jakarta such as Kemang, PIK, and SCBD, Jakarta is not like Europe and vice versa. If we want to go on holiday to another country, at least don't be arrogant.

  13. Bintang is the cheapest beer, people usually buy it on the store and drink it at home, I know that some of this fancy restaurant still keep it on their menu, but they will tell its out of stock anyways.

  14. I wonder why in Jakarta it is so difficult to find Bintang beer, even though young people in Jakarta like to get drunk on beer.

  15. Sorry for that,, but let me tell you something bintang is not really common drink for the people in indonesia except when we were in bali….thts why you couldnt get it in cafe. Bintang is available in indomart not in cafe😊😊😊

  16. because Jakarta is the capital where 87.2% of the citizens are Muslims (Islam) which forbids (Haram) alcohol/liqueur, the punishment is very severe if you sell haram drinks without proper permit, non-Muslims are a minority, of course they are willing to give up minority customers, it's not about money, we are a very religious country, But there are places where Muslims are a minority, like Bali, you can get drunk there freely
