A Rendezvous with Guizhou (貴州邂逅) by Mr. Vincent WONG
Most people think Guizhou is an impoverished and mountainous place which is very difficult to visit. Happily this is no longer the case. With the high-speed train plus new highways, bridges and tunnels crisscrossing the province, we can now easily explore and admire the many attractions, some of which are unique and recognized as UNESCO World Heritage Sites.
This talk will cover the various background information of Guizhou including its climate, topography, geology, demography, brief history, fauna and flora. It will then follow with a comprehensive virtual tour to many of the famous tourist destinations including the key cities (Guiyang, Zenyi), Miao villages, karst landscapes (Huangguoshu waterfalls, Malinghe Canyon, and limestone caves (織金洞, 双河洞)), Chishui Danxia, botanical bonanza (cherry, rape and azalea blossoms and tea plantation) as well as FAST (天眼).
