Early Morning SUMO Training at Tokitsukaze Stable – Ryogoku Tour in Tokyo! #sumo #travel #tokyo2024

G’day all. In Japan the national sport is NOT baseball, NOT football, it is SUMO WRESTLING. There are tournaments through the year – six tournaments but none was on whilst I was visiting Tokyo sadly. However, tourists (and locals) can join an ‘Early Morning Sumo Practice’ tour like I did (booked through Viator) where you walk around Ryogoku, the Sumo district of Tokyo, and watch the Sumo Wrestlers training in one of the Sumo ‘Stables’. So come and enjoy the experience with and discover what the sport of ‘Sumo’ is all about!
