I Stayed at Singapore’s Scariest Hotel
I stayed overnight at Haw Par Villa’s shipping container hotel. Locals told me this place is haunted. As I did some research, I found out about some of the spooky myths:
1. the statues are actually waxed humans
2. the gate to hell is the actual portal to hell
3. you can hear the spirits screaming at night.
I wanted to see if something would actually happen to me if I stayed there overnight. Nothing can happen, right?

Ultimately, Haw Par Villa is a really cool place to visit. It’s an attraction I recommend to my friends coming over to Singapore. A must-visit!

Interesting how it renovated cute already. In the past don't have those cartoons, haha straight we went in the cave hell hole.
There use to be a graveyard right beside the park, by the road side.
I think they should repaint the statues to make them look more pleasant and it'll not look so scary looking…
I’m Singaporean and was brought up to never ever visit this place. My mom is Cantonese and very superstitious and I guess that got ingrained in me 🤣
Anyway I’ve heard plenty of stories from others as well. One of them is that a curse is laid upon you when you enter the tiger’s mouth (not sure if it’s still there) – that’s how the Brothers will never go broke or something because they just kept “sucking” the good energy and wealth from anyone who entered. The Brothers built this village with ill intentions I heard.

Me and my friends used to sneak into Haw Par Villa attraction by the side slope during the night back in 2013.
Tried to visit the hells gate but it’s sealed up.
After two successful attempts and dog chase. They put up a net on the slope/wave.
Why? Coz I was a dumb young child and it was a thrill adventure to do after visiting my friend at NUH.
Trust me… Whoever say HPV is haunted… Is joking 😅
too bad it closes at 8pm…maybe something would happen if you go at midnight

If I recalled every year during October Halloween period, Haw Par Villa would be open till 12 midnight.
If you wanna save the money instead of staying overnight, try walking around the park after dark and have a feel yourself.
