【ヨーロッパの街歩き】ブルガリア伝統のダンスとドナウ川癒しの旅|海外旅行7月観光編
The day before, we passed through the Iron Gates on the border between Serbia and Romania, and on this day, we visited the town of Ruse in Bulgaria. We took the tour bus again and enjoyed the cute streets of Ruse and traditional Bulgarian dance. In the second half of the video, there’s a brief introduction to the wellness room on the ship and some beautiful sunset footage from this trip, so please watch until the end. Alright, let’s get on the bus and head out! After about 30 minutes, we finally arrived. The Sveta Troitsa Church was built in the early 17th century. Usually, we imagine churches with spires, but Bulgaria was under the rule of the Ottoman Empire, which was Islamic at the time, so they couldn’t build anything taller than a mosque. So, they built the church underground. Bulgaria declared independence from the Ottoman Empire in 1878 through the Treaty of San Stefano, and the Sveta Troitsa Church became one of the symbols of that independence. After that, we leisurely walked around the town with our guide. Ruse’s town hall is considered a beautiful example of neoclassical architecture and holds historical value. Around the town hall, there are beautiful squares and historical buildings, making it an attractive spot for visitors to Ruse. This theater is named after Sava Ognyanov, a writer and poet who made significant contributions to Bulgarian literature and drama. We couldn’t go inside this time, but I’d love to visit it if we get another chance. Next, we went to a restaurant where we could see traditional Bulgarian dance. As soon as we entered, the dance started. This dance is called Fikra (or Flakra), characterized by complex hand movements and foot steps. Bulgarian dance is performed to folk music, with traditional steps and styles unique to specific regions and communities. The costumes are really lovely too. They also showed us drums and bagpipes. Since we’re here, let’s keep enjoying the dance. (The rhythm is kind of addictive, right?) It seemed faster to walk back to the ship than to take the bus, so we left the tour and headed back to the ship first. Did you see it? (Slow motion replay.) Both Marc and I were startled by a sparrow! We caught the eye of a customer on the terrace who was watching us and couldn’t help but laugh. The ship was leaving in 40 minutes, so we walked a bit quickly. Soon,. we found a winding path. Marc seemed to enjoy it for some reason, but I was getting a bit anxious as time was ticking away. We somehow made it back to the ship safely. We ended up getting back to the ship before the people on the bus. The sunset view is amazing, but the daytime view is also lovely on this river journey. To soothe our tired bodies from all the walking, we had booked the wellness room, so let me give you a little tour. First, the jacuzzi. You can enjoy the outside view from the jacuzzi. And here’s the exercise bike. Since we eat a lot on the ship with buffet breakfasts and course meals for lunch and dinner, it’s necessary to burn some calories here. And here’s the sauna. It’s great that we can use it together. We pour water here and stay for 15 minutes each time! By the way, there were no swimsuits for sale, so don’t forget to bring your own if you go on a cruise trip! When we boarded the MSC Euribia for an ocean cruise, we forgot our swimsuits and unfortunately couldn’t use the pool… (Because they didn’t sell swimsuits there either.) While we were lounging in our room, it had turned to evening. The calm water surface is so relaxing. The birds are having their dinner time. They were diving into the river to find their dinner for the day. The sun was setting more and more, painting the sky an even deeper orange. (Marc was also relaxing.) Well, that’s it for our trip to Ruse. Next time, we’ll take a break from the boat trip and show you our trip to Cologne, Germany. Subscribe and hit the like button! Take care! See you in the next video! Tschüss!
