#1 OKINAWA JAPAN đŸ‡¯đŸ‡ĩ | September 2023 Driving Tour | 4K | æ˛–į¸„ドナイブ旅

This video was filmed in October 2023. Our purpose this time was to go and see the traditional Okinawan festival called “Zentou Eisa.” It begins at Chubu Centrair International Airport, capturing our journey and exploration of Okinawa.
While the focus is on our travels and time spent in the car, I believe you’ll enjoy it more if you watch as though you’re experiencing Okinawa with us. We intentionally kept the audio unedited to maintain the authentic atmosphere. We want you to feel the real ambiance.

“Zentou” is OKINAWA island “Eisa” is a traditional performing art danced during the Bon period in Okinawa Prefecture and the Amami Islands of Kagoshima Prefecture.

During this time, men parade through the community’s streets, dancing to songs and accompaniment, to welcome and bid farewell to the spirits of ancestors who return to the earthly realm. Historically, it also served as a means to gather donations, contributing to community activities such as establishing reservoirs using the funds collected . Depending on the region, it is also known as “Nansaa,” “Ensaa,” “Shichigwachi-mui,” or “Nembutsu-mai”. Through dance, participants foster connections with others, focusing on blessings such as abundant harvests, prosperous fishing, successful business ventures, family safety, health, peace, longevity, marital harmony, offspring prosperity, ancestral veneration, fortune inviting, and warding off misfortune related to “Hari.”
