The Yamabe area has been producing grapes for over 100 years. The winery’s restaurant offers tastings of local wine.
Utsukushigahara is located east of Matsumoto, and it takes about an hour to drive to the top of the highland via Venus Line. There are several trails in this area, and even a short hike offers an enjoyable 360-degree view. If you’re lucky, you might catch sight of Mt. Fuji. In summer, you can see many cows grazing on the meadow.
