at this little starbu actually eating green tea scones and just watching the street traffic it was really kind of a hip cool place I really enjoyed this neighborhood right in the hub of things but yet all these little side streets that you can just get off and explore and and stay in in fact this little uh Shrine was right next door to uh my uh Hotel just around the corner but anyway I’m going to take you over to my hotel I’ll show you my hotel and then the most exciting part of this whole video I’m gonna introduce you to uh my good friend K who I met 10 years ago when he was an exchange student uh in the United States staying at my house and K’s going to show us an authentic view around Tokyo so you’re going to enjoy this this is authentic we’re lucky to have someone like Ki show us the real thing but this is the hotel I stayed in right here uh a little Balan place I really enjoyed it quiet and peaceful so K’s about to arrive so let’s go outside and uh and greet him hey look at you how are you how are you so cookie today where are we going what are we doing um today we will go to Shinjuku which is the Garden in Shinjuku it uh the flower is very beautiful there in Shinjuku very big very tall yeah and K is very famous for okonomiyaki so I booked okonomiyaki restaurant it is very famous in Japan okay yeah so it is very delicious so we will go to go there so we go eat there yeah all right I really appreciate this oh really so listen tell my friends and uh people who subscribe to my channel how do I know you oh uh you and I we meet many years ago how do we meet oh I see I see I see um about 10 years ago uh what was it 2011 or 12 I forget 2014 I think 2014 I was a junior high school student um I belonged to the kaai high school and in that high school program I went to America and live in America yeah so Ki was an exchange student and he went to the kaijo school here in Tokyo and me and my son we were living in Vermont USA and come to stay with us for a little while while he go to school in the United States at St Johnsbury Academy right and so we become friends and now I’ve been back to Tokyo two times and I see Ki both time he my favorite kaijo we doing 150 Yen yeah 150 y to Shinjuku Shinjuku yeah Shinu yeah this is your chicken okay okay just like this we’re going Yamoto line to right okay all right so we have sushi lunch yeah sushi lunch all right and I think Shinu station you can have many people in English they can speak English I think many people yeah Shuka is the biggest C station in Japan Shuka or shuya I think Shin is very bigger yeah Shin is bigger than I read that 3 million people a day come through here oh really that’s what I read I don’t know if it’s here or shabuya but it’s big okay we eat here excellent okay okay so stay with me because K’s going to share his five best things to do in Tokyo good so this is whale whale what kind of what kind of whale huh so K if someone’s coming to Tokyo uh first time what are the five things you think uh are are best what would you recommend first uh you should go to um Sky Tree Sky Tree is the tallest tower in Japan yeah and the view from the tree is very beautiful MH and then after that you should go to asakusa asakusa yeah there are many stores and restaurants and there is a temple which is very famous in Japan okay and you have to go to Harajuku it is very young culture I went there once very famous lots of young people all in super cool made uniforms and yeah many high school students there and they wear some curay yeah and eat many delicious food okay and the first thing is um Ed Castle e Castle e Castle is very famous and very historical building in Japan what’s it called historical no it’s called Edo Ed Ed how do you spell it e d o e d o okay very famous and it’s the center of Tokyo so okay you have to go there all right and the last thing is shabuya shabuya yeah many students go there and there are many dous food and many famous uh shops okay yeah yeah yeah of course there’s much more to Tokyo than just that but those things you got to hit them right yeah they are very and of course there are many special places in Tokyo except for them so you have to research and there yeah all right we’re going to begin our journey today yeah I hope you will you will have time in Japan yeah of course prefecture yeah and is so Tokyo is the prefecture and shuko is a city inside the perfecture ah I see so hang out with K and I today as I take you on a virtual tour of five amazing Tokyo Adventures where does it go [Music] here okay you’re here where are we going to go I don’t know but this is mon child food I don’t know what it means [Music] but so what’s really interesting about shinjo is you can enjoy absolute amazing chaos and lights and energy and then you can go hide just a few steps away in these beautiful tranquil Gardens it’s really amazing and by the way be sure to watch my shuko video it also has a golden guy virtual tour so you don’t want to miss that video if you’re coming to Tokyo so check that video out okay so now we’re back to our Garden Walk [Applause] [Music] I definitely learned a lot the is [Music] [Music] very so walking through these Gardens were beyond amazing for a couple of hours but hang with me because right after these Gardens we’re going to take a taxi over to asakusa and we were so lucky on the day we went to asakusa that the Sanja Festival was happening to be held and I bumped right into it in fact what that’s what asakusa is famous for very historical district with many opportunities to see really super authentic things happening so hang with me you’re going to love this [Applause] [Music] so we take taxi so in my opinion Japan taxis lead the world and cleanliness honesty and just a standard that everyone should learn from you know so once again I was really lucky to arrive in asakusa right during the Sanja Festival [Music] speee [Music] [Music] so probably the number one reason why you come to asakusa is to go to the senoji temple but there’s so much more to explore than just the senoji temple so in just a minute I’m going to take you over to the S SOI Temple and you’re going to see it’s quite busy today especially [Music] [Music] it so right now you’re looking at the uh Tokyo Sky Tree and later we’re going to actually go up there and I’m going to show you the view from the peak of the Sky Tree [Music] so once again this is always a busy place but it’s extra busy today because of the Sanja Festival but you know you can’t come to Tokyo without visiting this area of asakusa if here take it’s their smoking shower you can get so if I take smoke I can get good luck yeah really this smoke is very um how can I say so they believe the smoke is good luck yeah good luck good luck really holy water so they wash yeah holy water they wash their hands with Co holy water okay those are sponsors ah okay [Music] [Music] okay the restaurant you went no so C what we do here this Isom okak o o m i y a k i wow so what do you do that’s it um yeah I think she cooked so I have to out and we can eat okay can I C yeah do whatever you want I don’t know how to do it wow oh I didn’t know she made it for us I thought we had to make it like them okay so this your favorite food cookie yeah this is my favorite food okaki ok okaki so today we’re having seafood and fried Kim a lot of seafood wow I like it so much okay so now we head over to shabuya so here I am at the uh most famous street Crossing in the world uh some say about 3,000 people each one one minute Crossing across the streets uh the shab shabuya scramble Crossing is what it’s called the Shabu shabuya scrambles crossing that’s it’s hard to say shabuya scramble Crossing there you [Music] go so here I am at the Tokyo Sky Tree today you can see the tower behind me I guess this is the tallest tower definitely in Japan and I actually read in the world but maybe that is Tower or not building I don’t know how that classifies [Music] speee [Music] [Music] so when you go to haruko you can combine a visit to the temple and the gardens along with all the shopping and all the cool hip little stores and all the wonderful things there is to visit in the city part of haruko all in one day or even a half a day if you’re pressed for time but don’t miss this out on haruko so these Gardens in this Temple is even more beautiful than it looks I mean it’s really peaceful gorgeous and smells wonderful back here [Applause] come so haruku is a really hip cool place to spend an afternoon or a day or even two days there’s a young hip Vibe here there’s all kinds of places to hang out little eateries and cafes really cool shopping I mean this is just a really cool neighborhood to hang out in so don’t miss an opportunity to spend time here explore it on your own and just just have a really good time here you won’t regret it by the way when you’re in Tokyo you’re going to see people riding these little go-karts everywhere on the streets you can rent one for the day and go on a tour and do it yourself so have fun I do hope you become a subscriber so you can check out some of my other Adventure travel
