Hello, this is Life in Shikoku. We are going to visit rose gardens in Kagawa and Okayama for two days and one night starting today. Good thing the weather is fine. Arrive at "Garden Shiki" in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. This is an open garden for a limited time only, with about 160 kinds of roses in bloom. Let’s go inside. Space in blue, white and yellow. This space is fantastic with a focus on color. There are several spaces with tables set up in the garden for tea drinking. Cute domed space for table seating. It’s so beautiful with colorful flowers in full bloom! It’s a relaxing garden. Beautiful potted roses at the entrance. Let’s leave Garden Shiki. Arrive at Bannosu Park, Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture. Amazing long rose fence. We’ll go to the rose beds in the back. Fountain square. Water lilies are blooming. Arriving at the rose beds. The roses are in full bloom. Back to the rose bed at the entrance. Let’s leave Bannosu Park. Crossing the Seto Ohashi Bridge from Kagawa to Okayama Prefecture. Arrive at "Okayama Forest Park Doitsunomori" in Akaiwa City, Okayama Prefecture. Let’s go inside. Large agricultural park located on gently sloping hills. Town Area: There are several areas in the park. Lovely European-style plaza and streetscape. Arrive at the vast rose garden with 100 varieties and 1,000 roses in bloom. Well maintained, very beautiful rose garden. The roses look beautiful against the wonderful surrounding landscape. Came to "Maki Area" to see animals up close. A rabbit is so close! You’re good friends. Alpaca mugging. Oh, a pony is cool! Came close to us! So cute. Capybara: Hey, look at me! Father kangaroo? Everybody stand up. Finally, go to the observation deck in "Village Area". Wind chime gate? Arrival at the observation deck. View from the observation deck: a nice place surrounded by greenery. Go down the observation deck and head for the parking lot. Red poppies are at their best. Let’s leave Okayama Forest Park. We are heading to our accommodation for the night in Okayama City. こんにちは、Life in Shikoku です。一泊二日で、香川と岡山の バラの庭を巡りました。一日目は、まず香川県高松市の「ガーデン 四季」へ。約160種類のバラが咲き誇る、期間限定のオープンガーデン。色とりどりの花が咲き乱れ、ため息が出るような美しい庭でした。次に、香川県坂出市の「番の州公園」へ。ここでも、満開の美しいバラをたくさん見ることが出来ました。

瀬戸大橋を渡って、岡山県赤磐市の「おかやまフォレストパーク ドイツの森」へ。ゆるやかな丘陵地帯にある、広い農業公園です。100種・1000本が咲く、広大なバラ園は美しくて見応えがありました。近くで見られる動物たちも可愛かったです。この景色を、一緒に楽しんで頂けたら嬉しいです。

Hello, this is Life in Shikoku. We visited rose gardens in Kagawa and Okayama prefectures for two days and one night. On the 1st day, we first went to “Garden Shiki” in Takamatsu City, Kagawa Prefecture. This was an open garden for a limited time only, where about 160 kinds of roses were in full bloom. The garden was breathtakingly beautiful with full of colorful flowers. Next, we went to “Bannoshu Park” in Sakaide City, Kagawa Prefecture. Here, too, we saw many beautiful roses in full bloom.

Crossing the Great Seto Bridge, we went to Okayama Forest Park German Forest in Akaiwa City, Okayama Prefecture. It’s a large agricultural park located on gently rolling hills. The vast rose garden, with 1,000 roses of 100 varieties in bloom, was beautiful and worth seeing. The animals that we could see up close were also very cute.
