Exploring Hiroshima, Japan in 48 Hours!
Starting with this historic city’s iconic dish, the #okonomiyaki (お好み焼き), a savory pancake. In Hiroshima, they do this classic #Japanesefood a little differently. What’s the difference between the Kansai and Hiroshima version? We find out at the bustling Okonomimura (好み), a building packed with over 20 different shops specializing in this local dish. Where to Eat? The ever-friendly Okonomiyaki Ron (お好み焼き お好み村 ロン) for the best fresh-off-the-teppanyaki (鉄板焼き) okonomiyaki we’ve ever had. Truly special!
After thrifting in Fukuoka and eating our way through Miyajima 宮島, we finally explore downtown Hiroshima 広島市. From the city’s finest historical cafes to its hip vintage shops and modern cafes. We even found our new favorite japanese curry restaurant!
Of course, we also pay our respects at the historic Atomic Bomb Dome and Peace Memorial Park. A reflective stroll in the rain made us realize how lucky to get to travel to this beautiful city.

This made me miss the okonomiyaki at okonomimura…i went to a different stall in there, but whichever one you choose, its bound to be delicious! I wish i spent more time in Hiroshima…its definitely an overlooked city…but that also makes it wonderful as well as it doesnt feel ridiculously crowded.

Just got back from my own Japan trip, and I have to say your suggestions were our favorite of our trip ! The sidewalk cafe bitter orange americano was so good we had to get it twice, and absolutely loved Yanaka Ginza. Can’t wait to check out Hiroshima next time!! Thank you for your beautiful videos!
